Snowden Awaits Asylum Decision At Sheremetyevo Airport. Update Snowden Has Left The Airport! 8/1/2013

Former CIA employee Edward Snowden may leave the tranzit zone of Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport within the next few hours, the Voice of Russia correspondent reports.

UPDATE: Federal migration service has not issued the documents allowing Edward Snowden to leave the airport yet, there was a misinformation today in the media, said Kucherena.

"Any move that would allow Mr. Snowden to depart the airport would be deeply disappointing," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters, adding that US Secretary of State John Kerry had telephoned Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Putin is weak.

Looks like those Mega Petro Dollars being put on the table by Corporate USA is working, Putin is back peddling and hesitant to support Mr. Snowden.
If Putin was a "real" man, he'd tell those Americans to stop calling him...that he will have his fighter jets escort Mr. Snowden safely to any country that offers him asylum ...and any interference by anyone will be perceived as an act of war against the Russian Federation.
Sadly, Putin is weak and will not be making this announcement.

Movie "Network" / Snowden

I just watched the movie Network and my ears 'perked up'
when I happened to hear the name SNOWDEN!

It occurs around the 10 min. mark with the phrase...

"I want Snowden here by noon. Have lester cover the CIA hearings and, give the White House to Doris."

I had to post this 'cuz It gave me the creeps!

Peace.

Snowden at the end of the movie

"Jack Snowden, a newsman substituting for Howard Beale, is displayed on one of four monitors on a bank of TV screens as he delivers the news story. Snowden's words are dwarfed by simultaneously running commercials (including Canada Dry's Bitter Lemon drink ("We never compromise, so why should you? Canada Dry Mixers. Why compromise?"), and the famous Life cereal commercial ("Let's get Mikey to try it. He won't eat it. He hates everything...He likes it! He likes it!")):

...the network news anchorman on the UBS Network News Show, known to millions as 'the Mad Prophet of the Airwaves,' was shot to death tonight in a fusilade of automatic rifle fire just as he began this evening's broadcast...The extraordinary incident occurred in full view of his millions of viewers. The assassins were members of a terrorist group called the Ecumenical Liberation Army, two of whom were apprehended. The leader of the group, known as the Great Ahmed Khan, escaped.

Snowden adds a final epitaph:

This was the story of Howard Beale, the first known instance of a man who was killed because he had lousy ratings."

side notes

The Network, by the way, if you havent seen it is largely a complaint about how the media regularly distorts, lies, and denies Americans a voice.

In the movie, Beale, 'the mad prophet of the airwaves' is assassinated by his employer, who later report that his death was caused by "terrorists."

Snowden is the fictional character who takes over for Beale in the end.

Aside from other similarities, it was also suggested that our Edward Snowden, the character said to be in russia airport, is actually an actor who has taken over to perform a stage play. Journalists Jon Rappaport, original whistleblower John Young, author/activist Wolfe, along with several dailypaulers have all suggested that this story doesn't quite add up. Plausibly this is an effort to make up for faltering mainstream media ratings to keep us sheep entertained.

Unpin

False alarm. He's not leaving.

The title of this story is misleading

"Edward Snowden Leaves Sheremetyevo Airport. Live Report"

Then - "Former CIA employee Edward Snowden MAY leave the tranzit zone of Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport within the next few hours..."

Which is it???? Has he left or not?!

The title was cut/paste from this mornings news

Title is not mine! I see that they have now changed the title on the news report, as the situation changes things like that are updated. I changed the title. I am hoping that he is on a flight to S. America while everyone is watching the exit :)

Apparently there were phone calls made from Air Force One in the past 2 hours. Someone perceives Snowden as a real threat. Just imagine if the American working class thought they were free to say something when they see something. If Snowden gets away with it.....

Latest update on that link says

the documents allowing Edward Snowden to leave the airport haven't been issued yet.

Want to bet

He's not at the airport and hasn't been for weeks?

Why would they release such a foolish status report.....

"Wont leave airport today"

Sniper spotted? Reported to be due to the paperwork, but documents were hand delivered earlier then submitted at the exit by Snowden. A possible "car chase" after leaving was reported (to be something that would happen should he leave now)...then the rabbit ran back in the hole. I bet he has an alternate exit planned.

*I'm torn about sharing and covering this, but I do think that the more eyes, the safer he may be at this point...we already know that they'd kill him if they could...more eyes may protect him from us and the Russians.
