U.S. City Looks To Penalize Bible Believers

U.S. City Looks To Penalize Bible Believers

Critics charge 'anti-bias' requirement punishes people with moral convictions

Published: 15 hours ago

Think it’s hot in Texas these days? Just wait a few weeks, until the San Antonio City Council ends its summer hiatus and resumes work on a proposed change to its nondiscrimination ordinances that apparently will discriminate against all who take the Bible at its word and follow it.

That’s because the change creates a penalty for those who ever exhibit a “bias,” which clearly could include adopting the Bible’s condemnation of homosexuality, with a permanent ban on participation in city government, business or employment.

what a joke.

This gets the facepalm of the

This gets the facepalm of the week award. As human beings we have natural rights, not privileges from our government that can be taken from us to 'give' to other people.

I dont have a problem with Christians.

I dont have a problem with homosexuals.

I do have a serious issue with government peons that think they have some moral obligation to be politically correct and to hell with our rights if they get in the way.

I do believe there is a Homosexual agenda in this country that is very concerning. I believe some people are born Homosexual and that is just how they are, I dont have a problem with that. However, with all the hormone replicating chemicals leeching out of plastics that feminize males and mercury etc that further warp or sense of gender combined with the filth Hollywood puts out like Grown Ups 2 in which they had guys dressed like cheerleaders and shoving thier asses in some dude's face (I only saw the preview)- we have a serious problem. Especially when it is combined with laws that force people to accept things they find morally wrong.

Homosexual people have rights as individuals and Christians have rights as individuals. The problem is when the government creates laws that remove a Christian business owner's right to serve who they wish so a Homosexual has the 'right' to say stay at their hotel when they could just as easily find another business. Now they want to go a step further and bar religious people from even participating in government to prevent these laws from being passed?

Straight or gay, religious or not, we need to start acting like ADULTS and not spoiled children that fight over privileges from Mommy government.

A good analogy of this is my habit of consuming Cannabis. I enjoy it and it does not harm anyone even though it is considered deviant behavior. If I go to a hotel and want to smoke and it offends the owner and he asks me to leave I am not going to go to the government and complain until they force the business to accept me. I am going to act like a mature individual and respect the Owner's right and choose a different place to stay. Was I discriminated against for my lifestyle choice? Yes, I was. Is that the worst thing that could happen to me and emotionally scar me like the Liberals act like it does? No, it does not.

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

The problem as always is government...

Opt out. Don't work for the state. Avoid as much contact and interaction with the state as possible. Don't vote, it only encourages them.

Be responsible for your own life, not for the lives of others. Live your life in peace and be the change you want to see.

Is this idealistic? Sure, but the founders were considered idealistic too.

Don't participate in immoral games. Go Gault.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it. ~Thomas Paine

It saddens me to see so many up votes on the above statement

If no good men are in office, do you think bad laws will stop being passed?

Do you honestly think if you ignore them, they will go away?

People who believe this are cowards. Good men must sacrifice their personal time so their children and grandchildren don't have to. Ignoring the problem is selfish and cowardly.

God help all of you...
