Iraq-war-vet-turned-antiwar & liberty-activist-agent provocateur Adam Kokesh At It AGAIN!

He's baaaaack!

For those of you who know something about this independent journalist, he has a very unique style.

Part interviewer....part agent provocateur (troublemaker...but in the good sense of the definition)...part philosopher....but 100% anarcho-capitalist who thinks the very idea of "governmental authority" is a complete myth and a joke that needs to be discarded to the dustbin of history forever (as do I)...Adam Kokesh is in rare form in this video (see below).

Fresh out of his second indefinite detention without charges thanks to our tax-payer-funded law enforcement "officials"....Adam takes on his old nemesis: The US Park Police.

A couple of years ago, Kokesh, along with others, participated in a "protest dance" at the Jefferson Memorial. You see, according to federal code, it is illegal to dance at national monuments! Yes, you heard that right. So these protesters chose the memorial of perhaps, of all the Founders, who would be most appalled at such ridiculous laws: Thomas Jefferson.

So the "protest dance" ensued, and the Park Police, sensing the clear and present danger and threat of these dancers, started arresting them. They body slammed Adam (not a small or diminutive guy himself) to the ground.

Might as well have been the brownshirts of Nazi Germany, taking him down. You can google this shocking video as it, of course, is online.

Anyways...taking you to the present...Adam exercises his 1st Amendment Rights to "freedom of the press" near the grounds of the White House and attempts to communicate with the US Park Police and ask them questions...and he won the battle.

They knew all they could do is get in their squad cars and drive away.

In the '60s there was a phrase that was very common: "Question authority." That phrase is being revived before our very eyes.

But the questioning, is not really a question. Read into more closely, it is, and always was, a challenge.

And it is high time to "Challenge authority."

Why? Because the whole idea of us ceding our own individual sovereignties to any and all governments that claim by the "law" that they can initiate violence or coercion or force on you...is a complete joke.

Just because "the authorities" wear a badge or don a robe or populate a city council seat...does not mean that they have one iota of an "authority" to ever initiate force or violence or coercion over any other human being!

There IS NO SUCH THING as "governmental authority". It is an illusion. A hallucination, even.

Once we awaken to that realization, and begin to refuse to recognize the supposed "right" of this "authority" to exist, such "authority" becomes null, void, and completely neutralized.

This entertaining short video of AK exercising his 1st Amendment rights, is an important lesson, in just that.

I love that Adam guy. It's amazing how he makes these tyrants look like what they are, goons with guns !!

"part agent provocateur (troublemaker)"

"part agent provocateur (troublemaker)".....so is this a bad thing? I don't see him being some rally provocateur in the name of anyone other than himself. I think the OP should change the title to this post because it seems as though they are coming into this with assumptions which only make them look bad. Adam has huge balls for doing what he does and I would like to venture I challenge to any of you to get out there and get arrested for civil disobedience against our political power structure? How many of you have gotten arrested for civil disobedience huh?

I meant the term "troublemaker" in a complimentary way for Adam.

Not in a negative way....as the rest of the context of my post deliberates.

I love the guy. He is the first one that turned me on to Ron Paul back in the fall of 2011.

I sorta agree

but at the same time, removing my negative connotation of the word agent, it's kinda accurate..

When I first saw the title I wasn't sure, but then read the post and saw it was by sharkhearted and realized it was probably just me being touchy.

Agent congers up images of federal or secret agents which I'm not a huge fan of, but agent provocateur... It is a little fitting for adam.

sharkhearted's picture

Adam Kokesh...is an agent for the cause of liberty! :-)

I used the agent provocateur with Adam...in a complimentary fashion.

He is a good troublemaker. And a good man.

He makes me smile every time he pulls off one of his stunts.

I agree

we are on the same page here!

It's the "agent" part

that's inaccurate (As far as I can tell - but there are those around here that think otherwise).

Although "provocateur" can be used/meant positively, I'm pretty sure
adding "agent" means that the person is acting on behalf of an organization
with an agenda different from what the person claims to be espousing.

I think Adam is saying exactly what he means - and things that need to be said.

No wonder TPTB are scared of him. Not good for them at all if the sheeple actually
start taking that liberty and justice and pursuit of happiness stuff seriously. Adam
K is not the kind of role model they want people to be paying attention to...

The only reason you cant hear

The only reason you cant hear his giant brass balls dragging on the pavement is becuase he has them covered in a nice velvet glove of eloquence. Well done Adam! This is the kind of stuff he needs to promote, not dangerous events like the 4th of July march.

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

sharkhearted's picture

HA! That was hilarious, and eloquent as well.

Great observations, and I agree, this is the Adam Kokesh that works magic. The other Adam repels many people and would-be converts to the Liberty Movement.

I thought this particular "stunt" with the Park Police was one of his best.

Park Police: "Where's your Press Pass?"

Adam: I"ts right down the street there, in archives. Its called the 1st Amendment. You know, part of that document called the Constitution. You know, that Constitution that you swore an oath to protect and uphold."

Classic!

Well done video

A well rehearsed 2 sentence speech for each objection or question the police have is the way to get the police baffled, off their intimidation game, and realizing that they are in the wrong. This is what news reporters do and it works well.

You can see that he is getting more practiced at his approach. I wouldn't be surprised if the PD / park police start cracking down unreasonably hard if Adam shows up again specifically to avoid looking dumb like they just did. Cracking down is the only tactic most police departments know. More show of force. More intimidation. More threats of arrest.

Yeah Adam really disarmed that situation.

The peaceful, socratic way to use the force of logic and reason, to disarm a brute show of force.

Glad to see Adam always standing up for the constitution.

Government authority is not

Government authority is not an illusion. Most people believe that government is ordained by God and they willingly submit to it. They say that they will stop obeying law that is against God's law, but the line on man's law is moved slowly and people adjust. Simple right anr wrong is not good enough for them. If you do something like speed, you've sinned. They also believe in all law that is in place to protect one against their self. They outwardly claim that they need to be governed by authority that God has ordained.

sharkhearted's picture

Your post makes no sense.

Just because "most people....willingly submit to government"...does not make governmental authority real.

There was a time when most people believed the world was flat. A majority belief of the same, does not make it true.

You are right, though. Governmental authority is not an illusion.

It is a hallucination. A ridiculous, primitive nightmare.

A group-think disorder construct that DOES NOT EXIST.

Your post makes no sense.

You do not dictate reality. Just because you don't recognize government authority does not mean that it does not exist. The only way for the authority to actually not exist would be for literally everyone to "group-think" and refuse to recognize its authority.

And, thank the world, neither do you..."dictate reality."

And, just because you and an alleged majority of people...happen to recognize some sort of ethereal abstraction called "governmental authority"...does not mean that it DOES exist!

No. It extends to episcopalians, athiests, and catholics et al.

No one (NO ONE) is allowed to dance in front of the esteemed national monuments.

It is for your own good and safety and security.

We (the state) must protect you from all of the extremely dangerous national monument dancer terrorists.

I wonder...

What other forms of "moving my body" are illegal at statist locations?

Can I not perform Tai Chi?

Can I not perform Feldenkrais techniques?

Can I not perform yoga?

Can I not perform walks from the "Ministry of Silly Walks"?

Can I not ... oh hell with it, I cannot, in DC, and I won't.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Sure you can

You just need to complete and submit the proper forms along with a nonrefundable $23 fee made out to Dept. of Irritation.

DOI-D0134 = Permission for Feldenkrais

Please check to make sure your submitted dance is not on the "unapproved dances" list. Some dances are a threat to national security so we can't permit those.

An army-trained psychological operations soldier taking on a park ranger who was probably instructed to not talk to Kokesh...and we're supposed to be impressed.

Granted, the park officer looked befuddled, I can't tell if he knew the answers to Kokeshs' questions or not. Probably not. (I suppose that's RACISS to assume)

Some good points made regarding some tourists being allowed to film and not Kokesh.

Meh. Another vid for the archives I suppose. Still not sold tho. Too much past detrimental history. Sideshow material for sure tho.

Mildly amusing for making the police uncomfortable.
But how do we know they weren't instructed to "let him talk, but don't arrest him"?

Divide and conquer, right joe? Oh an by the way, he is not Army, but Marines. Big difference.

not

trying to divide anybody, just calling it as I see it.

Army or Marines...both cannon fodder pawns "just followin' orders!" for the globalists. No difference. And pysops? Wasn't even fighting an enemy, just manipulating innocent civilians.

I'm glad you found RP, regardless of who it was.

I don't see how this advances the cause of liberty. Passerbys probably thought he was obnoxious, dangerous, or a narcissist.

Can't see many people watching him and thinking "That's a club I want to join!"

I'm sick of seeing people ask

I'm sick of seeing people ask "What are you doing for the cause of liberty?" Freedom is personal, and get off your high horse. It's the typical rant of the person involved with their community mainly to set their own conscience at ease. An "I did my part, now I can wsh my hands clean." You cannot fight for the freedom of others. You can live in your own little delusion of doing so, but people like that are the typical roid-raging cop or vet, and if you come off with crap like that to me and expect me to thank you for your "service," you're going to get nothing from me but a "suck on it." It's all a fight for the soul. Since you cannot give another person's soul away, nor take it, this is why at the end of the day it's your own damn fight.
