Darrell Issa Reveals Yet Another Potential Obama Administration Scandal: That’s ‘Against the Law’

Issa, in a letter obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, revealed that the deputy secretary of energy issued a gag order following the release of a highly critical inspector general report last week.

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), a division of the DOE, allegedly violated DOE hiring guidelines in a manner than disadvantaged military veterans, according to the scathing IG report.

The BPA employees who cooperated with the IG’s investigation were fired, suspended or disciplined in other ways, the report found.

Further, Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman “verbally instructed Elliot Mainzer, the individual [Poneman] chose to serve as acting administrator of BPA, that no BPA employees were to talk with anyone regarding these allegations, including congressional investigators,” Issa wrote in a July 17 letter.

Issa went on to warn that “obstructing a congressional investigation is a crime.”

“Additionally, denying or interfering with employees’ rights to furnish information to Congress is against the law,” he added.

Issa totally lost any respect I slightly had for him.

He was my congressman for many years but now he and the new guy, Hunter voted against Amash, so to heck with them. If Issa really believed that “ obstructing a congressional investigation is a crime.” where are the criminal indictments. All Holder got was a slap on the wrist. He does his little dog and pony show, investigation and hearings, to appease the populist them time goes by but nothing of substance happens.

With approval

With the below posters approval, I will gladly delete this thread. Concerned with my state rep, I did not notice this guy voting NO on 2399. I do not want to give him publicity not deserved.

All I need is a yay/nay.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Let the record stand,

but I do appreciate your sentiment.

don't delete.

The first paragraph says it all

Issa, in a letter obtained by the Washington Free Beacon

The Washington Free Beacon is a neo-con trash site. Run by the same group that brought us Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz.

Do not click, do not link to. Spread the word.

Since Issa is a neo-con himself it is not surprising he gave a copy of his letter to them.

First attacking Rand Paul, and now this. Issa's vote is double confirmation now, the Beacon is nothing more than an extension of the Weekly Standard with scum sucking neo-cons like Bill Kristol and Charles Krauthammer.

Darrell Issa voted against

Darrell Issa voted against the Amash amendment to defund NSA spying. Therefore he voted against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I was just going to say the same.

Issa is a POS. I used to support and defend the guy. No more.

Issa: "I have no respect for Obama. I am going to bring Obama down."

Yesterday: The Amash-Conyers amendment: *Issa votes for Obama*

I actually thought Issa might be one of the good ones but now I see him as insidious because he plays that role but really is an enemy of liberty who puts on a front.
