Rubio's Immigration Bill, A Statist's Dream Come True

Ilana Mercer explains why the immigration bill is worse than just leaving things as they are, which is bad enough. From leaving most of the power of granting 'legal status' with the DHS, as opposed to honoring state's rights, to giving almost all of the rest of the power to Eric Holder's Justice Department, everything is far more centralized than even the current state of affairs.

It will also deny employers the right to confirm the status of a person before hiring in whatever way they choose. Businesses will also have to assist in harvesting data for the government. Of course, the bill will not be read in full by anyone either.
