The Black Death

A squirrel in California has the plague. Should you be worried?

plague hand cdc

Health officials in Los Angeles County announced yesterday that a squirrel found covered in fleas has tested positive for bubonic plague, the scourge that develops into the deadly pneumonic plague known as the Black Death and wiped out an estimated 200 million people in Europe during the 14th century. Last month, two pet dogs in New Mexico were also discovered with the disease, which is genetically very similar to the strain from the 1300s.

"It is the plague," Dr. Mark Dimenna, deputy of the Environmental Health Department, told local TV reporters from KOAT 7. "It is the bubonic plague, the Black Death. It’s the same organism that it always has been."

What to do:

Something else - Virgin coconut oil is antifungal, antiviral, antiprotozoal and antibacterial. It's also an immune system booster as is pharmaceutical grade wild oregano oil.

I don't yet know if this is a natural outbreak or something Monsanto has created. Please stock up on heirloom garlic ASAP.

If the squirrel has paws as pictured,

I'd be very worried.

nonsense! scattered cases of this occur in the desert SW all the time. More lethal and more common is Hanta virus, also spread by mice.

A far greater threat is pneumonic plague.

Dramatized in the 1950 movie, "Panic in the Streets," pneumonic plague. It is 90%-95% fatal and is passed by sputum. To compare, anthrax, another class A pathogen has a 20% mortality rate and Ebola Marburg has a mortality rate of nearly 100%. However, Ebola Marburg is much more difficult to spread.

Know any good raw garlic recipes?

I have exactly one recipe that uses a clove of garlic or two in a kale salad (it's delicious. Even my kids happily eat it. All of the kids), but the other other way that we've been taking raw garlic medicinally would be to put slices of it in a peanut butter sandwich. My kids won't eat that.

So, anybody out here know of any good raw garlic recipes that we can eat when it's plague season? :)

Had this in Russia.

If you like beetroot, you will love this, and active Manuka honey makes it even better.

It's entirely possible that supermarket garlic has been GMO'd. Baker Heirloom Seeds has some good stuff available.

What would the Founders do?

This is not news

Yersinia Pestis has always been enzootic in the west.
It is well known to healthcare workers and hunters.

We have discovered a natural medicine better than garlic!

For killing Y. pestis (cause of bubonic plague)!

The miracle drug comes from a bacteria found naturally and commonly in the soil! It's so natural that even that even the most superstitious chemophobe can trust it's naturalness!

If the world listened to the charlatans over at NaturalNews, it is possible that the world would still be plagued by Black Death, as it was antibiotics that have stopped the pandemics, not garlic.

And thank you for the good laugh about "Monsanto creating Y. pestis." SOME OF YOU NEED TO LOOSEN UP YOUR TINFOIL HELMETS BECAUSE IT IS CUTTING OFF BLOOD TO YOUR BRAINS.

Your tinfoil hat first

If you think garlic is not medicinal then nobody is going to listen to you call others charlatans and conspiracy nuts.

Did I say garlic has no medicinal properties?

Npo, I did not. But its ptoponents are not usibg garlic bc it is superior yo streptomycin, but because tjey are believers in the natural fallacy and alternative voodoo.

Go ahead dude, use garlic to treat a Y. Pestis infection. You could be the Christine Maggiori of Bubonic Plague.

Antibiotics vs Naturapathy

Sorry, but big pharma and their pill-for-every-ill antibiotics have caused my friends and family more grief than the plague has. Since I got them away from the stuff they are doing much better. I will advice them of the option of taking antibiotics if they ever pick up that darned black plague anytime soon though.

Chitinase preparations. - Page 2, paragraph 1

Chitinases from Serratia marcescens and Pseudomonas stutzeri were generous gifts from Dr Roy Fuchs, Monsanto Company, St Louis, Missouri, USA. The Sa. marcescens chitinase was prepared by cloning the gene into Escherichia coli, where it was expressed and the protein purified to yield a single 57 kDa band upon analysis by SDS-PAGE (Fuchs et al., 1986). The 60 kDa P. stutzeri chitinase was similarly prepared. Chitinase from
Streptomyces griseus was purchased from Sigma and purified by chitin adsorption and elution (Mdano et al., 1977).

Your argument is now invalid and completely full of poo.

Can we get

It's not rocket science. The

It's not rocket science. The big words refer to specific bacterium.

In plain English what this means is that Monsanto - through Searle - is providing at least one commonly used drug (What's cited above is for Streptomycin, an antibiotic) to Big Pharma as well as dominating the global food supply. The coating on your ibuprofen? That contains GMO corn syrup. The sweetener in your kid's cough medicine? GMO corn syrup. Walk down the aisle of any grocery store and look at the ingredients - CORN SYRUP, MODIFIED VEGETABLE STARCH, MONODEXTRIN - THESE ARE ALL GMO's. They even put the shit in baby formula.

If Monsanto is doing this with such a commonly-used antibiotic, what other drugs are they giving to Big Pharma?

but I was referencing this line:
