“Russia has never extradited anyone, and will not extradite,” said Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

I wish Vladimir Putin was

I wish Vladimir Putin was POTUS.

Soviet Ex-KGB Chief?

That's odd. Why he would be better than the ex-agent we have now is beyond me.

So, is PUTIN saving face, then behind our backs

Allowing the FBI access to Edward so they can murder him?

Is that what this is all about?

Then, Edward Snowden, you had better make sure that after a certain length of time goes by without hearing from you, that all those people who are your contacts, releasee all the information.

Because, I think it's a general consensus that we don't and can't trust the FBI, after what happened to Michael Hastings. There must be someway, somehow, that you can be protected while in Russia.

It's just that I get a real uncomfortable feeling when I hear Putin say one thing, then say another, that seems to contradict his support of you.

He's a spy's spy.

Is it as simple as you describe? Probably not. The Russians are known for playing chess right?

Or maybe Putin is just enjoying the turnabout situation.

Who knows.

But don't think he's a good guy either. He's not. He's an evil b*stard, just like... well, nuff said. :)

Never thought I'd ever hear myself think or say it...

but I almost long for the days of the Cold War when two superpowers were at least somewhat restrained by each other. Dare I say the world was actually safer back then.

I don't trust thr Ruskies

or Putin.

If Edward is smart, he will get to South America asap.

Until then, I am sure that Edward will be working for Russian intel...I bet he can offer them some "tips" on counter-measures.

According to Greenwald &

According to Greenwald & Assange much care has been taken and Snowden's whistleblowing info will be released in the near future. It's already out of the hands of Snowden.

I don't even think Snowden can stop the upcoming data dump!

I'd rather be in Russia when

I'd rather be in Russia when the US goes bankrupt.

I Fully Expect Obama Will Now Make Threat Overtures To Putin

Um. What do you think Syria and Cyprus are about.

About Syria and Cyprus?

nope. It's about Washington DC and Russia

How strange

I feel as though we're playing the Cold War out again with the sides reversed. This is yet one more piece to that.

You Said What I Have Been Thinking

We're are become more like the Soviets and THEY are becoming more like us..

Strange indeed..

That is exactly why I love it here

People are sane and able to see things as they are, even when they are so close to home. Too many people who are delusional and/or in denial out there.
