A Marysville, Washington man who suffers from post traumatic stress disorder due to a violent police encounter was threatened with fines and jail time this week after posting flyers about his missing service dog.

Shawn Slater, 34, says his dog Nanna, a 3-year-old certified medical alert and therapy Rottweiler, helped him manage his anxiety and seizures so well that he was able to get off his prescription medication over two years ago. This story....

....made this grown man tear up (me).

It also makes me angry that the same forces that contributed to his PTSD (law enforcement nearly beating him to death)...are harassing him for trying to find his dog.

Good for the local news for covering this story and good for AJ for making it national and good for emalvini for posting it on here.

I sincerely hope things turn out all right for this guy...and his dog.

Norfolk, VA

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

I feel bad

for this guy. I would have been fuming. Some people have patience. I would have said no. I would have ripped up that fine right in front of there face.

Poor Guy

What a terrible ordeal this man has been put through..

This is heartless of the police to treat this man in this way..
