Dedicated to the great Congressman, Captain Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul, U.S. Air Force Retired, who lived and was a part of that hell we call the Vietnam War..

You had to be there to know that war was hell.
There will be no victory parade If I ever make It back because,
"Nobody seems to care back then when a soldier makes it home."

I went to an Arlo concert way back in '78

or maybe '79, don't remember now, and it was FANTASTIC! He spent a whole lotta time on this one story/song about why there were pointy tops on the posts surrounding the outposts - because of some creature that was terrorizing the forts. How I remember him describing the creature was that it was a round thing with two stick legs - I'm messing that up but it was funny as anything! Does anyone else remember that 'song'? What a great storyteller he is.
Two favorites: Darkest Hour - "It's the 10th of January and I still aint had no sleep...."
And Patriot's Dream

Living now here but for fortune
Placed by fate's mysterious schemes
Who'd believe that we're the ones asked
To try to rekindle the patriot's dreams

Arise sweet destiny, time runs short
All of your patience has heard their retort
Hear us now for alone we can't seem
To try to rekindle the patriot's dreams

Can you hear the words being whispered
All along the American stream

Tyrants freed the just are imprisoned
Try to rekindle the patriot's dreams

Ah but perhaps too much is being asked of too few
You and your children with nothing to do
Hear us now for alone we can't seem
To try to rekindle the patriot's dreams

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
