NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – New York City mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner has dropped to fourth place in a poll released on Monday, but Weiner has vowed to forge ahead nevertheless.

Weiner coming up short in the polls

Denies reports of premature capitulation

Promoting statism

The fact you have Weiner and Elliot Spitzer running. It makes me wonder. Why try? I realize the ego of politicians blinds them.

Another thing I realize, however, is that Bloomberg is raising the bar on statism. That can't be too popular with the people. I wonder if Bloomberg is using his vast wealth to get these guys to run against him to better his chances of getting re-elected. Or maybe other statist loving special interests are trying to get him a win so it looks like he is legit, and so are his policies. I don't know much else about the election in general, so if I'm off in my thinking, tell me.

I heard one of the normal people talking about this...

which is how I can tell it is not important.

s'next, please.
