McCain raised $7 mil in January

Paulites it looks like McCain is getting anointed with a cash injection.
It's definitely a wake up call.

If we have a McCain vs. Hillary, McCain will go down in flames.

We're going to have to step it up and quick....

I think the Meetup group idea of getting all Meetup group members (and everyone else) to donate, needs to be worked on quickly and get the largest sum ever seen in history to RP. It can and will work IF we can get the organization behind it.

I am a 21 year old

I am a 21 year old independent. I have never cared for the republican party partly I guess because of the Bush's was my only experience with republicans. Well I am from Illinois so I also had to deal with governor Ryan! Kinda put a bad taste in my mouth. I am not stupid so I dislike the Democrats as well for taking away my liberty. I have been voting for Greenparty and Constitution party with my vote. But Ron Paul really got my atention. I believe in the same things he does! If he thinks we can take over the Republican party then I am with him. Or if he wants to join or start a different party I am with him. I guess what I am trying to say is to hell with McCain and the republican party I really don't care about eithier. I just care about Ron Paul and the message and getting back to the constitution!

Ah something worth reading

Now I second that motion

McCain & Clinton Owned By Lobbyists

Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Democrat Hillary Clinton has raised more money from lobbyists than any other presidential candidate while Republican John McCain has more of them assisting his campaign.

Clinton took in $823,087 from registered lobbyists and members of their firms in 2007 and the second-biggest recipient was McCain, who took in $416,321, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington-based group which tracks political giving. Barack Obama, Clinton's rival for the Democratic nomination, doesn't take money from registered lobbyists, although he received $86,282 from employees of firms that lobby, according to the center.

It was campaign reform authored by.... McCane

McCane made sure only the Rich that can finance for themselves to run for Presidency. He made Sure the limit was in place for 2300 for the common folk so they did not have any say.

Some believe money is a form of free speech and McCane made sure you only had 2300 worth of free speech,

The Meetup group idea on a map

I really think the meetup group idea is a great one.
But I think it should be done by state.

If we had an interactive map showing donations
coming in by state, this would create a game for all of us
and it would be easier to manage.

Then we just need the meetup organizers in each state to
work on each meetup group.

The Campaign would have to get aboard and make a
widget like they have for the precinct program.

But a little different. Each state would fill up as donations
came in.

With some kind of mouseover that shows the amount of donations
in that state.

Then the meetups, the facebook groups, my space groups
would all see the results happening in real time and excitement
will ensue.

Give this some thought. We need the campaign to do the widget
for this.

Is anyone able to talk with someone to get this done?

I've heard a few people talk about this

I think it is a great idea. Your are correct, we need the campaign to add some functionality to the website before it will actually work.

$5 Million?

Where in the world does the former first lady and now senator come up with that kind of money. I don' t think we pay them that well. Things that make you go hmmm. Guess her book was a big seller.

From herself.

From herself.

The Clintons are quite wealthy. Bill Clinton earned $10 million last year just in speaker fees. That's right, $10 million for giving speeches.

It's estimated by some that the Clinton's have $50 million in their personal bank accounts.

I'm sure she also gets paid for things like...

being on the board of directors for Wal Mart.

Becky Blauvelt

Yup..

.. they don't have to report all business interests.

McStain also was in debt 5 mil at the end of the 4th quater

So he has 2 million we have 5 million right now. And will raise more. We can do $10 money bombs and raise 1 million. So its not like we can't raise money. Should we try to raise more of course. We need to raise as much as we can. Everyone needs to do your best thats all you can ask from people. Remeber people our economy is not that great right now. Even banks are going broke so just do your best. If we have to well have a money bomb to get Ron and the delegates to the convention. We are doing pretty good for a bunch of poor boys. Heads high folks.

The $5 million "debt" is

The $5 million "debt" is most likely a "loan" from his uber-rich wife which really doesn't need to be paid back.

Romney "loans" himself money too. From his own pocket. Standard campaign finance fare.

He then proceeded to blow

He then proceeded to blow his entire wad on Florida.

There is no money left of that $7 million, especially after Super Tuesday.

McCain actually had to pull out of Florida and stopped campaigning there because he couldn't afford it.

The question is, how much cash does he have on hand right now?

The campaign needs cash to get the name known

Since the media will not provide the exposure, it is up to us. Please everyone, give what you can. Dr. Paul has asked, humbly. He will not beg. He has simply stated that he will continue the campaign as long as the funding and support continues. He will work within the budget given; and a small budget means he will adjust the ads accordingly. With little media coverage, we need massive infusions of cash. That is the reality. The choice is ours. Give him the money to advertise steadily and regularly, or the only option he has is to seek, through small ad placements and personal visits/speeches, the most viable primaries and caucuses and strive to pick up a few delegates here and there.

Sadly...

.. many Paul supporters either think that he is flush with cash or that he has spent the money badly and are not donating.

Maybe We Can Get Democrats to Donate to Ron Paul

Either because they like him, or to sew dissent in the Republican Party.

we can't allow this!

we can't allow this!

Trust in God, but tie your camel tight.

"Socialism needs two legs on which to stand; a right and a left. While appearing to be in complete opposition to one another, they both march in the same direction." - Paul Proctor

Can't allow what?

Can't allow what?

McCane 7, Hillary 13, Obamma 32.

"Clinton raised around $13 million last month, excluding the $5 million loan, campaign spokesman Phil Singer said. Obama collected $32 million, according to campaign manager David Plouffe, the most ever raised by a Democrat in January of an election year."

That is some serious cash.

Media reported

that Hillary actually had $18 mil going into Super Tuesday. That means she's having cash problems and lo and behold, case in point, she BORROWED $5 mil from HERSELF toward the campaign.

Now back to the big 3 dummies.

Romney has to decide whether he wants to spend more of his own money.
Huckabee still doesn't have any money.
John McCain will burn through any money he gets because he has the onus of "front runner" status.

This makes the case for the continued funding to keep RP in this all the way to a brokered convention. If he gets there he has a chance to win the whole thing.

Believe it folks.

Puppets come and puppets go but the world's stage is getting cluttered.

Obama is the new leftist icon...it's a love fest for socialism

and everyone jumping on the bandwagon. It's been quite a sales job.

On the other hand, McCain's $7 million is really a paltry sum for the front-running machine candidate of the Republican Party. The majority of Republicans, I'm convinced, are completely disillusioned right now, they just couldn't see clearly enough how RP was the answer.

FEC Federal Election Commission

Isn't the FEC still out of business? Does anyone see that as a problem so far or in the future? When do the 4th qtr. numbers come out?

I love that comment

"If we have a McCain vs. Hillary, McCain will go down in flames."

Why does it matter who wins that battle? You act as though one would be better than the other. They're the same freaking person. One has tits, though. I think. And then there's Hillary :)

He had a $3M DEBT from 4th Qtr to pay off...

And much of the money raised this month is "main election money" meaning he is not *supposed* to spend it in the primary.

But, since he knows so little about economics, I wouldn't be surprised if he also TRIES to claim ignorance of campaign laws...

...like what was that recent one? Oh yeah the MCCAIN-feingold thing.

It is funny that we know how

It is funny that we know how much he raised this month, but he did not release any number on how much McCain raised in quarter 4 2007.

Hillary?

Why don't you go to the Hillary site? Why are you at the Daily Paul looking at a Hillary versus McCain election? What world are you living in?

We are standing for Ron Paul and in our minds and imaginations, Ron Paul, is the next President of the United States of America.

What is so wrong with

What is so wrong with Hillary. Everybody dislike her without even knowing why. She is doing her best.
Hillary or McCain -- I vote Hillary hands down. Who is really interested in 100+ more years in Iraq?. Beside the guy look creepy

By the remarks here I see

By the remarks here, I see that many are choosing the lessor of two evils! Do you actually believe in Ron Paul! I will not vote for the lessor of two evils!

I will not vote for my own demise!

You've got to be kidding....

You've got to be kidding.... Hillary???? She's full of doo doos. I rather vote for American Idol than those two. hehehe
