What a terrible interview!
Stewart was trying to ask him some serious questions and O'Rourke was just being an idiot. What a terrible summary of Adam Smith and the invisible hand he gave as well. I'm sorry but O'Rourke seems like an idiot. I won't be buying his book.

BTW, Salem, OR is also Ron Paul country... sort of. We have a *lot* of government workers here, so it's been slow going. We're over 80 in our meetup now... but most of them are in a coma, it seems. *sigh* We do get a nice response when we do sign demonstrations though; it's built up from darn near zero to about 3 or 4 % now -- which I'm happy with considering there's been $0.00 spent in this state by the PCC.
