Bill's probable response

To the chubby Lewinsky. Keep your clothes on. Just B l -- me.

When someone

gets a tape of hitlery trying to seduce her husband that will be news!

Or, even more outrageous, get a tape of Slick willy having any interest at all in screwing hitlery and that will be really big news!

If this is real, and it hurts Hilliary's chances, then so be it.

This isn't just anyone having an affair. This is the POTUS in the WH. Clinton was the public servant, who swore an oath to honor both the Constitution and this country. What is the problem with making these recordings public? The Nixon tapes were made public. If recordings existed of Marilyn Monroe in the WH with Kennedy, they would be released also. Airing dirty laundry is another phrase for politics. Spitzer, Weiner, Hart, E. Kennedy, Schwarzenegger, Edwards, etc. know all about this kind of dirty laundry.

should have held onto this until closer to the elections.

No offense, OP, but

I really hope the DP does not take a lot of time discussing this distraction.

Let's just, not talk about this or Anthony Weiner.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

i dont want to disparage your

i dont want to disparage your post, but people will discuss what they discuss, the day we start calling for no discussion is the day, we set ourselves down a slippery slope, i believe anyway

Now, this is the dp, and its authors have their own right on what is on or off their site, which is cool, andfolks have the right to discuss these things, thats cool, ..... at least for now, the internet is open enough that theirs likely to be other sites, other discussions, same story.......when the internet is no longer its former self (and i hope that never happens), is the day a free people has little luxury to say, please can we not discuss this

Im not particularly jumping to discuss this myself, and i do understand where you are coming from, because a part of me agrees, the other part, as always, tells me to remember to be impartial......as you can never know what may come from something, however unlikely of something happening

I do my thing, others do their thing....if the message is the same, let the debates on the "things" help us understand each other better

It was more of a suggestion

to everyone. I wish to move on to more important issues so We, the DP, can concentrate our energy on issues that require "action from the people" on top of staying informed on issues that actually affect the whole Country.

Let me ask you an honest question, Gomez: do you think the latest sex scandals i.e. Lewinsky tapes/Weiner's penis pics are a distraction?

Again, I understand you partially agree with me, (albeit from a Devil's advocate stance), but taking all the major issues currently ongoing, wouldn't you call these scandals "distractions"?

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

I dont disagree with you

I dont disagree with you there, yes i would like the maximum attention on things that has the best chance to push change through, i see where your coming from, and completely agree and hope for that point, but i dont necessarilly think that grassroot folks would completely ignore other issues by being exposed to other stories, maybe possibly you'll have one or two, but i dont think you can help that, i think that you always have to expect that, whether it is true or not.
Now the general public, yeah, thats where these distractions really shine, and i suspect the intended target.

At the end of the day, i still think you made a valid point, i didnt mean to imply the opposite, your "devils advocate" remark pretty much hits it bang on in the intent of my post, the imaprtiality aspect, to try to cover all angles, to give more thought on things that would be considred crazy thinking if governments actions are anything to go by.

I hope my "devils advocate" did not or does not offend anyone, especialy when a good point is made

No offense taken, Sir.

I guess, looking at this situation in retrospect, I have an agenda to "waken the masses to critical issues" and, sometimes, those emotions that come with that "hobby" get over zealous.

Talking to commenters on CNN and Fox takes more of a toll than you realize and when I come back to the DP, it's like a breath of fresh air coming out a coal mine.

More are waking up, though. I even saw some "Al Qaeda = CIA" comments along with some Ben Swann references/shout outs.
