Hidden Sting in McCain question...

If you thought the last 30 seconds of this clip were hilarious, check this post-debate explanation by Dr Paul himself of what actually happened there. Amazing.

Oh ..I believe Mcain knew about the question

The question posed by RP was on an absolutley taboo subject... The President's Workers Team - aka The Plunge Protection team. The group that purchases the market shares when wall street tumbles. it was put in by Regan in 88. Mcain knew about it, he wasn't going to answer RP's question about shining light on that group The Plunge Protection Team has no accountability, no minutes or records on their meetings... Ron Paul is becoming more of a Patriot by the minute by dragging these groups into the light of scrutiny!!!!

I absolutely agree

I don't care what the watchers-of-Survivor understand.

I thought that question was just subtly brutal.

Heck, he even educated Ron Paul supporters with that question. How many of us scrambled to do research on this shady group, afterwards?

Ron Paul is getting pleasure out of sticking these knives in and twisting - right on national TV.

And besides, after 20 years in congress being ignored and ridiculed by his votes and speeches, he deserves to ask and say whatever he damn-well pleases.

Classic

This was an absolutely wonderful moment. For those of you complaining RP should go on offense -- he did, and does it his way. He doesn't get pompous, or arrogant. He is allowed to ask a question and does -- in his humble way. And right after McCain got done saying what an economic expert he was.

McCain came across as the one trick pony he his -- "I know how to bomb everyone. Vote for me." That ship won't sail.

It sure was finny to watch.

Why

Is this not a TV ad?

Just mail the links

Email the links to your friends and tell them to do the same. That will reach as many as any ad. With enought buzz it will become MSM news as well.

Peter G. Peterson

One of the persons McCain rambled-on about was Peter G. Peterson.

If some of you here don't believe in an elite behind the scenes who are truly running the show, I suggest doing about 10-15 minutes of searching on this character.

I'm not into conspiracies...

but Peterson being the boss of the CFR is all I needed to see.

Note to HQ:

Please use McCain's response in one of your future campaign commercials ;-)

That was absolutely

That was absolutely HILARIOUS!!!! Bravo +100!!!!

I think, some how Ron Paul KNEW that McCain did not know ...

I think: Some how Ron Paul KNEW that McCain did not know what that group was.

Which explains why Ron Paul didn't go to more trouble to explain to the audience what he was talking about (he would have known the media will pick up on it later).

Watch Ron Paul's face - he's like a crafty fox at a rabbit burrow. He set up a trap.

Even people in the MSM must have been shocked. THEY know about that group. I mean, they don't mind supporting a lying scumbag - but do they really want to support a FOOL????

What I noticed

Was that McCain brought out that whole ~I know about dat EcOnOmy thing~, and the good Doctor started writing something... I'd like to think that it was his question to him, written just then.... ;)

Put that on EBAY please

I suspected

I'm not quite the financial buff many of you are, but my first impression was that John McCain didn't know what the committee was at all, then I figured there was a good chance some of those names were committee members.

If I could pick up on the body language that he didn't understand the question, anybody could.

Remember - we are fighting for delegates even more than votes.

Delegates are not the normal public. They can be educated. Show them enough reasons why McCain will lead us to financial ruin, and they can be induced to change their vote at the convention.

FANTASTIC!!!

Now that I understand what Ron Paul actually asked

(after reading
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/capital-commerce/2008/1/25/mccai...

I am in awe that Ron Paul asked this question which has clearly shown thinking people how truly uneducated about the economy McCain is.

Even people in the MSM must be a concerned that McCain is SO DUMB! I mean, I don't need to know this stuff - but a senator sure should!!!!!!!!!

McCain didn't even understand the difference between "sunlight" and "sunshine"!!!!

Absolutely Brilliant

Absolutely Brilliant question by Ron Paul in so many remarkable ways! Not only does it expose the total moron that McMoron is, but it is exposing the PPT to the general public without RP having to make any conspiracy theory type statements to point it out. Once bloggers get hold of the topic they will point out that this group is illegally working in concert to change the market to the detriment of many investors and that they are doing this illegal activity with the public's money.

I think this question was a carefully considered tactic in the campaign's new economic strategy. I have noticed a shift in RP's rhetoric about the war during the debate. He now is hammering on the "Overseas Empire" and that we can't afford it, rather than the Iraq war. This is also genius because it forces voters to consider the Iraq war as just one small portion (but very costly and very deadly) of our huge overseas responsibilities. The voter must now start considering hmmm, where do we cut back? I think RP has a strategic plan to lead his opponents into a rhetorical quagmire, to underline (and bring "sunshine' to) some of the crazy economic schemes taking place in D.C. and beyond, and to gain proper credit to himself for his economic foresight, excellent workable economic plan, and his highly credentialed and respected economic advisory panel his now assembling. He may just be outfoxing those numbskulls in DC and the media! Amazing!!

Victoria, if you are a female person and not some guy from a

province in Canada, I blow you a (celibate) kiss.

I thought at the time that it was a whiff ( a swing and miss at a pitched ball) i.e. Ron set a trap, McCain bit, but nobody GOT IT.

Ah contraire!

YOU did!

Beautiful exposition and you made my evening! Thank You!

Priceless youtube clip

Wow, I loved it.

I'm not trying to be negative, just realistic, and helpful.

I really feel that we (Paul supporters) view things differently than McCain supporters.

When we see McCain make that "huh?" face we read it as, he's a war mongering moron...but a McCain supporter see it as "This Paul guy doesn't make any sense."

We need to look at the debates and commercials through the eyes of those not supporting Paul yet.

I agree. Just because McCain

I agree. Just because McCain doesn't know the details of how things work, doesn't mean anything to a voter. Voters don't really care about details. If they did, they'd be running in the streets screaming about getting us out of Iraq, ending corn and tobacco subsidies and demanding an end to the "Patriot Act". People don't care one whit for detail. They think they're hiring babysitters to take care of everything.

Man I love

Ron more and more every time i here him speak

"Hidden" is worthless to us.

I appreciate the sentiment, and I always love an inside jab, but we're dealing with the average uninformed American.
Dr. Paul needs to be blunt on Television.
He did do it a few time last night. For example; he kept saying "we're broke", that's good! People need to be TOLD things, they're far too lazy to analyze questions and answers for "hidden" meaning. We know this, why don't Paul's advisors know this?

Here's the question Dr. Paul should have asked:
"Sen. McCain you have stated that you are willing to stay in Iraq for 100+ years...how do you propose to pay for that, sir."

Tell me that wouldn't have KILLED McCain right there on that stage.
It's a 1-2 punch, instead we got an insider's question.
I don't blame Dr. Paul, he's not the best at this nasty political game, and that's why love him! but his advisers could help him out a bit.

Easter Egg Analogies

Maybe he needs to simplify complex issues by comparing WMDs to Easter Eggs (Hucklebee) or the Federal Reserve policy to worthless Monopoly Money. Let's face it, the majority of Americans have been watching American Idol, Biggest Loser and reading People magazine and haven't been paying attention to Foreign Policy, or our Monetary System. We need to keep it simple.

So sad, but so true.
