Why Not Put the Effort into Audit The Fed?

Although I believe there is some merit to the accusation, I think the odds are slim and none. No one wants to touch it.

Audit The Fed has more traction and proof. Pass that and the walls start to crumble.

Why not put the effort into both?

We don't need to all pick and do one thing but we call all choose to do something.

hmmmmm

Okay, about the birther thing.

It's pretty far fetched that there is actually a case against Obama. I know that is not what is written on a lot of libertarian-leaning websites, but the facts and the law make it a minute possibility that he isn't lawfully seated, on this issue at least.

That being said, it SHOULD be required that they prove their eligibility before a single vote in a single primary and it is absurd that such is not done. And it is absurd that the current caselaw says that a citizen cannot sue (doesn't have standing) over an issue like this.

Wake me up when this is actually introduced in a bill, and the bill gets more than a half dozen supporters. Anything else is just performance art.

No 'snooze' button on this alarm clock

I'll keep my fingers crossed this does indeed serve as a big Wake-Up call to many.

I highly suspect this is just a dog and pony show

for Republican voters - an attempt to bury congress' NSA vote with mid-term elections coming. Which most republicans voted for NSA spying. It doesn't sound like it will accomplish anything to me.

#1 - I doubt most of the current members of the house have the balls to stand behind it.

#2 - Even if it makes it through the House, The House already knows damn well the Democrat majority in the Senate will never let it see the light of day, which is what makes me immediately suspect a dog and pony show. I mean why bother when you already know it isn't going all the way, unless your looking for re-election support for being a big R hero.

#3 - If it is what it is described as, it is only an "investigation."
Not an impeachment proceeding, and you can bet there will be some foxes on the committee investigating the head fox.

So I'm not really impressed as of now. But I'm sure it's enough to make the short memoried republican voters forget the NSA vote and rally back behind these republican goofs that supported NSA spying.

interesting

"I mean why bother when you already know it isn't going all the way"

Anyone see the irony of that statement looking back at Ron Paul's presidential campaign? Do you think RP shouldn't have bothered at all? Or did it at the very least serve in educating the people?

Some things don't need to "go all the way" to succeed.

wow

what a hero. I know people like beating dead horses around here, but holy crap, this is absurd.
