Is Ron Paul ready for president
Submitted by GlowRN on Fri, 01/25/2008 - 07:37
I am writing this because I am upset about the debates last night. Ron still has not learned to be aggressive in debates. He did okay in the FOX debate but last night he was not very good in the NBC debate. He should have called out John McCain on not knowing what the working group was. He does not mention things that he should. I believe Ron Paul is the most intellectual candidate of everyone but he needs to learn how to perform in a debate. Am I the only person who feels this way. My husband is driving me crazy about this topic and how Ron Paul did nothing in the debate. He stood by and left them skip right over him. He needs to take the debates to a new level.

Are we ready for President Paul !!??
This subject comes up after every debate ad nauseum. Can Ron do better or different in these debates? I suppose, but we all know that he won't. I speak to the generations of people who have had a steady diet of television ( even if you don't watch it now) You are programmed!! (me too) plain and simple. We all think that if "the look" isn't polished, well versed, and have the perfect aggressive repartee then it isn't right. Ron's own supporters are constantly picking him apart and nothing I say will sway you,but just whisper in your own ear..." Who would I rather have represent me and my values__________ (fill in the blank) or Ron Paul even if he doesn't fit my pre-programmed ( thank you Murdoch and friends) idea of what it should look like? We are getting a different channel people so we can wake up from our homogenized view and understand he is NOT the same. I am thankful everyday for him even when I sometimes feel we will not win. Ron Paul has really and truly made me a better person. I cannot say that about anyone else that has not personally spent time in my life!
Go Ron Paul: The Champion of the Constitution

Certainly, but the more pertinent question is "is the Presidency
(and by association the people he will lead) ready for Ron Paul?
Ron Paul is the rarest of politicians, an honest one, just ask his main rival John McCain, who described RP as "the most honest man in congress". Quite a compliment.
Who would you most trust with your life/spouse/money/kids out of the entire field Dem or Rep? Voting is just that and the chioce is obvious.
No one comes close to having the unquestionable integrity of RP.
We the people are awakening, the message is getting through, once you learn about Ron Pauls track record and policies then look at the alternatives, they just seem so phony. You will never go back to them.
Ever.
Our number grows larger every day, informed, dedicated and fantastically loyal. This is something you will be telling your grandkids about!
Believe It!
Go Ron Paul
Yes, Yes and Yes!
And if you don't think he is, then why are you supporting him and why are you on this forum? What a ridiculous question!
Dr. Paul presents a calm
Dr. Paul presents a calm rational presence among those who have few, if any, real answers. The rest of the herd come off as rehearsed and must express themselves combatively in order to give any type of impression. Thankfully, Dr. Paul is a man of composure and it shows.

Ron Paul is not Jesse Ventura
Dr. Paul is a combatant in the realm of ideas. He does not stoop to the level of the others while they 'debate'. If Dr. Paul wants to take the debates to 'a new level' then I am quite sure he will. Please, whenever you doubt Dr. Paul's ability to win an intellectual debate, have a look back at his speeches over the years. Even the most brain-dead sheep can recognize a man who knows what he is talking about when compared to the likes of "Uh, um, my friends, um, erh, uhh". Quit harping on Dr. Paul and help to boost HIS morale in any way you can.

of course he is ready for president
is being aggressive or make others looks bad a *PRESIDENTIAL* attribute for you? well, not fot me. sure he is different than the others, as he has his crystal-clear values and LIVES them. what he is NOT, is a puppet, engineered and remote controlled by some insane corporate brainiacs (like all of the other front-runner candidates) and their psycho-witches, flipping through their friggin' mass psychology cookbooks. he does what he is best at ... BEING HIMSELF. this is a different consciousness. if he would play their game, he'd have to compromise his very nature, and this would likely not work at all (unless he would let himself get lobotomized like visibly all of the other front-runner candidates). his way of operating may be subtle, but whoever listening to him who is not totally (media-)corrupted and brain-washed will respond at some level.
Yes he is
I'd say yes he is. More over, he's the only one on the stage that is... and that's sad. Why can't we get to choose from 5 different Ron Paul's where we all feel like kids in a candy store instead of literally voting to save our lives.
Not being aggressive enough in a debate
Not being aggressive enough at a debate does not suggest that one is not qualified to be president.
Real Vs Fake.
You get a real person on TV, in a circus like that, and that's what he looks like. You have to be full of crap, and worry about nothing about but how you are perceived, to look good in that environment. Look at the morons who succeed in Hollywood and Washington. Did you see the "I feel Pretty" you tube? http://www.youtube.com/wa... That's what I'm talking about. I for one am sick of those type of people being taken seriously. I want substance, and Dr Paul has it in spades.
Unlike Rudy...
Ron Paul IS:
TESTED (20-year voting record)
READY (educated)
NOW (vote to get him where he needs to be)
He's ready to make a President's decisions...
but he's absolutely dreadful at standing up for himself, being assertive, or speaking specifically to get new voters. Almost nobody in the country understood that question he gave McCain. He can't win with the support he has now, it much become larger. He's not doing a good job of that.

Patience!!
Ron Paul is kicked back and letting the others take each other out, he knows what hes doing. HE HAS BEEN FIGHTING THESE PEOPLE SINCE I HAVE BEEN ALIVE!! He is the only one who has seen ALL of the dirty tricks and is playing them for all they are worth. I cant put him down for nothing, I am just a machine operater waiting to loose my job to foreigners, I fully trust Paul and we all know he is the only one looking out for our interests, He has forgotten more than I will ever know.
He's more then ready, and I
He's more then ready, and I am ready for a President Paul. The others are a joke. He may not come up with some good lines or come backs, but he is the most intellengent one up there and his platform is beyond compare, that's all I need in a President. I know if we had a President Paul I could finally sleep at night knowing this country is in good hands.
Are you kidding me?
He'd set that corrupt town own its ear.
