Remember the guy who wanted to ban Ron Paul from the debates?

Remember the guy who urged that Ron Paul be banned from future GOP primary debates for suggesting the U.S. might have been attacked ‘for a reason other than being the awesomest country in the world?’ (As Tom Woods put it.) Well, he just tweeted a link to an article from the often neoconservative National Review that completely eviscerates the NSA apologists.

Is it a sign? Is there finally a crack in the right’s obeisance to the National Security State with all of it’s trappings?

Sane democrats, conservatives, independents, etc

Disagree with this program. Literally anyone with critical thinking skills that reads the news.

The NSA has plenty of tools

The NSA has plenty of tools in their tool box to catch terrorists. They knew all about the 9/11 Saudi Arabians at flight schools. They had help from the Russians on the Boston Marathon bombers. They can't even get the easy stuff right. The dragnet collection of all Americans communication data is one tool the NSA can't have.

The neocons that cry about

The neocons that cry about NSA surveillance, only have a problem because it's not a neocon in office. If their guy is doing it, they feel like they are on the winning team.

2nd SC Debate Video by pumaman1 - CLASSIC! LMAO!

This is a hilarious video that was made and posted right after that debate when Saul called for Ron's BAN. This is classic 2007 Ron Paul stuff. Please watch..you'll enjoy it!

This kind of clip

is what keeps me going. The media freaks were so obvious,s even in 2007, as to their agenda. Thanks for posting.

This is another favorite from 2007 - Family Guy & Giuliani...

Let's see if I can embed this photo created to honor Hannity...

They sure let it be known that they did not want Ron Paul

to get the nomination. Let's look at what's happened since. The GOP lost the last two presidential elections, Michael Steele is working for MSNBC, that's banned from GOP debates, and SENATOR Rand Paul is polling first place for 2016.

Thanks for posting this, its a reminder of how right RP is and what an idiot buffoon Hannity is.

That would be "King Saul" Anuzis...

Yes, I remember fondly. Spontaneous activism. Saul, who was chairman of the Michigan State GOP, commented after the 2nd, now infamouse, SC debate, held on May 15th. 2007, that Ron Paul "should be BANNED from all future GOP debates!"

Let's get ready to rumble! Daily Paul played a huge part in literally shutting down the Michigan GOP's phone system; filling every in box of anyone that had anything even remotely to do with that organization, bombarding the fax line for 3 days.

Saul would try and back peddle later on and issued a very weak apology to Ron Paul. I lump him in with the likes of Hannity, Levin, Beck, Limbaugh, Huckabee, etc. They're "opportunists" who, if they didn't get on board with the truth at this time, would be totally left in the dust of history.

Saul, I guess everyone can have that "awakening moment". Have you had yours? If so, how about coming out in a press conference and admit that you and all your other neocon cronies were WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, about Ron Paul, and that he WAS the man that we should've elected.

GOP chairman Steele is the guy who

wanted to ban Ron Paul from the debates... at least that is who I recall.

Steele said, "Ron Paul? As for Ron Paul....HE"S DONE"

That was before Ron Paul went on to almost win Fox's "Text Election", narrowly losing to Mitt Romney at the very end.

I lump Steele in with Saul Anuzis and all other neocon hacks who helped us get Obama elected.

There were others

There were others - including FOXNEWS who did, in fact, ban Ron Paul from one of the early debates in New Hampshire.

NJ

True...

But none so early in the game. This was just the 2nd. debate of the 2008 GOP schedule. And Ron Paul did very well in the first debate (he won all of the ABC online polls, and it was that debate that exposed me to Ron Paul).

Saul saw an opportunity to jump in and punch a guy that we thought was done, and soon would be out. Just like all the candidates on the stage who, after Giuliani grandstanded, all were jibber-jabbering that they too wanted a change to punch Ron Paul.

Little did they know that it would be this very poor judgement call, on Giuliani's part, that would propel Ron into the limelight, that very night, in fact.
