Video: What would neighbouring planets look like from Earth if they were as close as the moon?

From YouTube user yetipc1

"This is a visualization of what it might be like if the Moon was replaced with some of the other planets at the same distance as our moon."

The Andromeda Galaxy Will Be Looming Larger our night skies a few billion years from now. It is likely to merge with our Milky Way galaxy in about 4 billion years. THAT would be a treat to see for any conscious living entities that happen to be around.

Can't wait to see it...

who or whatever I'll be that time around lol! Hopefully some kind of self-aware representation of consciousness with some sort of visual sensory input. If I come back as a plant I'll be pissed... or should I say "soiled" bahahaha... no?

what would the moon look like

if it were made out of cheese? who gives a crap!

as mark twain said...

“You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.” Mark Twain, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court

And it was Einstein who said: “I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”

I can respect your having a different opinion. I just don't understand what you're doing on this thread if you weren't the teensy-tiniest bit curious yourself. Well, maybe you were expecting something else, misled by such an ambiguous title: "What would neighbouring planets look like from Earth if they were as close as the moon?" All right, enough with the sarcasm. I'll get sirius.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.

i skipped over it a bunch of times.

then I came on here for the soul purpose of writing my comment.

I imagine a world full of individuals that are free to pursue their own happiness in any way, as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. I imagine a world with transparency of leadership. I imagine a world that doesn't extort people and imprison those that don't pay the extortion. I imagine a world with free markets where anyone that is willing to put in the time and effort can get ahead.

those are the reasons I come here, to learn about others that have those same aspirations and are doing something about it. And to debate those that pretend to have those aspirations, but are really just wolves in sheep's clothing.

I believe that others have the right to post whatever they want here. Just as I believe I have the right to point out how pointless their posts are.

your insinuation that I have no imagination, seems to me, to be pointless also. all humans have imaginations by virtue of being human. my imagination is just filled with different thoughts than yours.

I didn't call anyone names or accuse them of being some part of a collective. I merely pointed out how pointless, imho, posts like this are on a site dedicated to restoring the constitution.

Very cool

Cool vids! I approve!

Also, Uranus is a lot larger than I expected. *snicker*

and colder.
