I wrote this after viewing this thread...it moved me.

Bradley, that Bradley what did you do,
the one who let the world see what you got
to see too.

When you pass that wall and are told to stand
on that line, by some guard who doesn't know
his own behind. He will say this and he will
say that, but in his heart he will know what you
did was exact.

No one was there to bridge that gap, to stand
up to those who didn't give a crap. They're not
human they say, they're animals you see,
its just like killing a cow under a tree.

But you saw it different, you said to them no,
you can't keep killing these children, where
no one will know. I will speak out for their
kind you see,
because I'm a soldier, which means I am free.

Free to tell the truth, when all others run
you see I was trained to do the right thing,
even if it meant I could be hung.

So now I will sit on this wooden bed and see,
how long it will take, for my countrymen to
set me free. Will I ever walk outside to be free
again, or will I sit in this cell until the
the very end.

People tell me I shouldn't have done it but I
would like to think, that what I did my fellow
man would have done if he were me.

My neighbors may forget me, my family and even you,
But God told me he would be with me, he would
never leave me too.

So don't shed no tears, don't call me names,
because what I did, I would do again and again.

Uplifting poem

Touched me to the core...

"But God told me he would be with me, he would
never leave me too."

Thank you.

Write Bradley Manning

May God go with you Mr. Manning. Time will shine down on your actions like the sun does to a rose. You will one day walk out of prison with your head high and your character intact. You stood for the innocent children that were shot, you stood for the mothers who were killed needlessly, you stood like a rock for freedom. When they measure your worth against those murderers who took us to war, it will be you who stand head and shoulders above all of them. You helped change the course of history sir, you made a difference.

Well said Brother

"You stood for the innocent children that were shot, you stood for the mothers who were killed needlessly, you stood like a rock for freedom" - I will be posting it right now on Twitter.

Thank you.

A well-expressed sentiment

A well-expressed sentiment held by many conscientious people, I'd presume...

After being kept in solitary

After being kept in solitary confinement and little to no contact to the outside world he has no idea how much he did indeed "change the world for the better". He is a broken man. We all need to let him know that he is a hero.

It is better to look dumb and not be, than to look smart and not be.

Not a rhetorical question... Ron Paul said it best...

"Truth is treason in the empire of lies."

Quote

I don't know where it comes from, but I'm pretty sure this is a quote. Ron Paul is very well-read, and he often quotes others (Martin Luther King, etc.).

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Yes, Ron Paul quoted, as he states in his book, but his quote...

... will no doubt go down in history as the most famous rendition of that phrase.

There are others to whom is attributed this same concept in their literary works:

“Speaking the Truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act."
~ George Orwell

Victor Hugo, and many others.

Thank you

Brad represents the entire humanity kept in prison.

See my other post that I placed here today.
