13 Republican Office Holders from Maine resign from the party and RNC.

Blowback from the rigged primary I suppose. These guys might be prime pickings for the Libertarian Party. Sorry but Huff is the only place I've seen this.

They should start a new party, the "Independence Party"

That's still the only play left for Liberty in the USA.

The "Libertarian Party" is too broad, so broad as to be vague and toothless.

Independence for Maine, as Maine goes, so goes the nation!

Reading the comments below..

The problem may or may not be complex, depending if it is all or nothing:

If everybody resigned in unison, it may be enough to provide momentum. Hit and miss, the problem lingers. The issue becomes what to do next if/when everybody bands together.

Should there be a 'movement' swift and now? Is this an indication, or an example of what must be done?

Or should people continue the 40+ years of insanity?

If everybody resigned in unison

provide momentum for what? The UG Agenda to have no speed bumps?

Did you read this? http://www.redding.com/news/2013/apr/25/california-bill-woul...

It seems to me, you either have NO IDEA what we're up against, or you are an operative for the UN Agenda, seems you won't pick a side, play both, and then come up with statements like everybody should resign in unison.. so there is nothing to stop the globalist agenda, which states very clearly the solution is depopulation and enslaving the human population which is to sustain at 500 million.

I stopped reading

What we are up against is larger than playing sides. It seems that no matter what we do, or don't do, it is brushed under the rug. We had momentum in 2012, and afterward believed that our voices would be heard for mid-terms and 2016. It is clear that this holds no overbearing weight.

People, not me, are resigning. If the trend continues, then we must search for ways to continue the fight. While a last match can be lit to provoke a smoldering fire, the wind is strong and it will not hurt to explore possible options.

My side is this: leave me and my money alone and in peace, and let me decide how to dispense with it.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

I think "your side" is a nice thought

what we are up against is a GOP disolving itself so there will not be a side to go against another.

2012, Ron Paul became a rock start with a fan club. He needed an army of warriors to storm the GOP and take it. It didn't happen.

Did you know, rural CA is in flames,, Idaho and Montana too.. all those folks who bought rural properties are being evacuated. It's not even on the news. This thing is going down stealth. Did you see the post emalvini put up about gun confiscation in CA.. I got that warning about 10 days ago..

And you know what I worry about the most.. my animals. It's very hard to have to put them down, but it's better than them starving because I'm not here and the state doesn't care.. Sheriff can only do so much.. because you did see where sheriff's like mine are being removed by governors like mine?

the gop should be 6ft under.

the gop should be 6ft under. I f'in over the gop and will not waste a dime on the big gov randers or the rest of the dinosaurs that should be fossils in the gop and buried forever.

Ron Paul 2016

The GOP "talk" about bringing Ron Paul supporters into the party

But they are really doing the opposite. The scum at Fox News puts this story out that head Republicans want to make nice with RP supporters, but in the back rooms they are actually try to get us out.

I can relate to the Maine Republicans leaving

the GOP for the reasons stated in their letter. To be officially aligned (the six committee members), you *do* have to swear your support - which they could no longer do in good conscience. I don't understand some of the comments below. They didn't owe anyone anything.

As to the non-committee members who un-enrolled from the party, they've simply joined hundreds of thousands of other former Republicans who've left, making it clear that their votes and other support can no longer be taken for granted.

Did you see they wrote that they "fought the good fight"?

LOL for what 1 year, 2, 3, 4?

The RNC bastards have been at it for 10, 20, 30, 40 years.

Right or wrong, 20+ years fighting is a "good fight". Not 2-3 years.

They are quitters. Sorry, but that's the bottom line. They were representing all of us on the RNC and they quit, well, after essentially fighting for few days. George Washington would have been ashamed.

The bad guys are laughing all the way to the 2016 presidency.

Quitters never win

They surrended and joined those who never got in the good fight in the first place.

They only did what the

They only did what the establishment wanted them to do. Every Party has the same bullsh*t.

What do you expect from neocons & federal reserve appeaser's? To give you cake & cookies? Pats on the back? Its to be assumed & expected. What if Ron Paul left for good in 1985? What if Ron Paul left in 1998? 2000? 2002? Ron Paul was all by himself & he still fought on. Now you have hundreds & thousands of Ron Paul Republicans to fight right along with you & you want to leave?

am i the only one who is

am i the only one who is reading this properly?

13 Republicans didn't leave the party .... 13 Ron Paul Delegates elected as Republicans to State Positions ... who almost got us the State of Maine .... whom Governor LePage supported and declined going to the RNC in support of .... are quitting?

why did we just go through that whole cycle of taking over state parties? to just give them? that makes no sense whatsoever?

someone clue me in here please?

They finally saw what I saw a year ago?

I left in the summer of '12. Why? Becuause the TX GOP is despicable. I saw the writing on the wall very soon after I was given the seat (won the seat, whatever..) in my precinct as captain. I got that these bleached-blonde weirdos would never accept a true Republican, as they are nothing but a group of Neocons who wouldn't know LIBERTY if hit over the head with it.

These Neocons, Dems and Reps, are destroying our country. And though I thought I could fight them, I soon realized that is not in the job-description. I did not feel like providing cookies and tea to what we have in the Bipartisan Mafia that is Austin, and I am sure the same is true of many other Libertarians in this country.

So there ya go. We did not make a difference because it is not possible, at least until a LOT more people wake up!!

We had SOME proof, but RNC does not care about Rules n Laws- they just break and then change 'em to suit whomever (not PAUL).

There are Republicans in Austin?

I thought they were an extinct species.

Far from it

they are some of the most powerful GOP in the nation, Rove, DeVore, Perry, and to their credit, TX is one of the most solvent states in the union, which is what makes our job so difficult.. they have BIG BIG BIG bucks while the states, like mine, CA, is bankrupt.

Those jokers are not Austenites

They just work there.

Unfortunate news for Maine.

Didn't Ron Paul leave the republican party in disgust at one point?

Not sure he would have done that with 20/20 hindsight.

Even now, Ron

Even now, Ron states that parties are merely a vehicle. He promotes the word Libertarian, not republican. If you are subscriber of RonPaulChannel, you would clearly know that.

Respectfully speaking, it doesn't take a subscriber

of the RonPaulChannel to know how much he regretted switching to the Libertarian Party. No debate time, etc., etc.

Gary Johnson is yet another example of a stellar candidate, former Republican governor, drowned in a Libertarian candidate's hell.

Respectfully speaking, I stand corrected :-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

This is a little alarming to me - not by itself - but with other

reports I heard yesterday.

I am an avid listener of The Wilkow Majority(Sirius radio). Normally this guy makes a whole lot of sense - but he was saying something that really got me questioning things. He was reading an article about how the Republican party and the Ron Paul supporters were making amends and the GOP was doing so much to bring them into the fold and that with the RP supporters onboard - it looked real good for 2016. BUT - in the same breath the article notes how the RP supporting chair in Nevada was ousted, and as such, the casino money was back in play. Well, to me, that seemed like the exact opposite of bringing RP supporters into the fold - it seemed to me like running them out. I kind of brushed it off as a little BS since Wilkow now works for the Blaze(our dear friend Glenn Beck) - figured he was just putting in the GB spin crap for a few minutes.

But now I see this article and it concerns me. Seems they are selling a more open GOP with broader ideas - but then getting rid of or pushing out the same RP supporters they are claiming are now so welcome.

I guess it is just more of the same old same old in the end.

The reason they ousted the chairman

was because the Ron Paul supporters did not show up like they should have. If you want to take back the party you need to stay engaged!!!!!

Not exactly accurate

Plenty Paul supporters do show up in Texas, yet are unable to make a difference. It is quite difficult to go up against a MAFIA made-up of both Dems AND Reps, as we see here, as a Liberty-loving Rep.
It is just not possible. And believe me, I tried, but soon saw how it was. They even threatened to sue me over disclosing THEIR vote-fraud, so don't think I did not try; I did.
Showing up would have wasted too many hours in the month, even if it meant only one hour every three months (as it is.)

We had SOME proof, but RNC does not care about Rules n Laws- they just break and then change 'em to suit whomever (not PAUL).

You have to show up all the

You half to show up all the time Annebeck. Showing up 2,3,4, times sporadically is not showing up. You don't just show up you get to know people constantly in your city, county, State that are apart of the Party structure whether they have a high position or no position @ all.

And to be fair Annebeck you did not have really hard evidence of election fraud. Even though there is alot going on.

They are foolish

This is why historically, libertarians have never been able to be a lasting political force and past liberty movements never traslated into political gains. We need to not give up so easily. These things take time...sometimes decades. Repeal is hard.
