Bring On The Stefan Videos...

Stefan Molyneux is one of my favorite personalities, I have listened to hundreds of his podcasts and videos. He introduced me to anarchism.

I listen to Stefan almost every day, and I visit the DP every day. So I find it to be a coincidentally small world when I see one of his videos mirrored here on the DP.

He has some fantastic and deeply honest philosophy to share. You will not find many people that are more honest.

I do realize that Stefan has talked some trash about Ron in the past, and so he is not that popular on this site. But if you can overlook those few occasions, I think you will find that if is quite difficult to disagree with him.

Anyways. Be sure to check out his channel. And don't get turned off if you find he has made a couple negative comments about Ron. He is an anarchist so he does not look at any political figures in a positive light.

Nice catch

Thx

One thing that Ed said that I

One thing that Ed said that I found insightful was how TPTB used force to rule up until people rose up and demanded that their rights be recognized around the American and French Revolution times. So then TPTB turned to other means like propaganda and "education", and Ed thinks that these schemes are coming to light. With the internet and the connectivity of people in this age their propaganda fails.

BUT, I think it's safe to say that TPTB aren't going to stop trying to control, and their means of control will evolve as well. They didn't address that point, so I'd like to ask the DP. What is next on the horizon for TPTB??? Will they resort back to violence and Kill dissent?? Will they drug us into sedation?? Does HAARP have some sort of mind control powers they will unleash??

In regards to competing

In regards to competing currencies, those already exist. The important thing is your definition of "currency".

Anything can be used as currency. You can use gold/silver/oil/dollars/franks/euros/foods/stocks/labor, etc. That is all currency. No one is forcing you to get paid a certain way. 100% no one is forcing you to not convert one type of currency into another type of currency.

True, but only to a very limited extent

No one is forcing you to get paid a certain way. 100% no one is forcing you to not convert one type of currency into another type of currency.

Ever try paying your taxes in silver or bitcoin? Y'know, those 'voluntary' taxes.

Sure, I can go to a yard sale and trade some silver for a trinket or two, maybe make a few deals on craigslist, but the fact remains that the FRN is indeed forced upon many people, especially those in oil-producing countries.

Basically, I think it's it's unrealistic to expect people to abandon the FRN completely with the current 'rules' in place. It can be done to an extent, but it's not nearly as easy as you're making it seem.

Bullshit...

We have legal tender laws and the income tax which means all domestic goods must pass thru the USD at some point.

We have the petro dollar which requires all foreign goods to at least deal with the USD.

Further, ask your employer to pay you a set amount of silver every month instead of USD. Watch him laugh, and even if he did, you would be forced to convert to USD for taxation.

There is no choice.

Oh, are you forced to live in

yes...

As a matter of fact. To purchase your freedom costs approximately, 5 years of taxation on income you would have made in the US. So you can purchase freedom, but yes, you are -forced-.

And then of course, you will be subject to similar legal tender laws and taxation policies elsewhere.

And you ignored the part where foreign energy cost is tied to the USD as well because of the petro dollar.

My goodness. What conceit.

My goodness. What conceit. Yeah, they're going to come after THEM! Yes, if the economy collapses, Edward Griffin is going to be the one they target. Approximately .00001% of Americans know who either Molyneux or Griffin is.

The main issue is that they DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE FEDERAL RESERVE WORKS!

They don't seem to get the difference between printing money, buying bonds, swapping out reserves, deficit spending, and borrowing money.

I'm afraid you missed the point.

I'm afraid you missed the point.

They weren't speaking specifically about themselves only. But about anyone who will have actual food or anything of value whom the angry mobs left on their own by dear government will go after.

If you're not familiar with the dog pack mentality, let me illustrate with an example when it's NOT EVEN ABOUT FOOD yet :

46:08 and on... rephrased...

[...] However active the inquisition may be, with whatever care its precautions multiply, enlightened men always retain a thousand ways of making themselves heard. Despotism is to be feared only when it has choked reason in its infancy. Then the former can stop the progress of the latter and keep the human race in a long imbecility. When reason gets on the march, however, it is invincible. Its supporters may perish, but it survives and triumphs. There exists only a moment to proscribe it with advantage. Once this has passed, all efforts are in vain. The intellectual struggle is engaged, thought is separated from power, truth dawns in every mind [...] How much better it is to suffer from the oppression of one’s enemies than to blush from the excesses of one’s allies. The defenders of freedom encounter then the agreement of the best part of the human race. They plead a noble cause openly to people and are seconded by the wishes of all men of good will. Persecution followed by glory is largely recompensed. He who succumbs confidently bequeaths to his contemporaries the care of defending his memory and completing his work [...]

G. Edward Griffin

is such a great man. Towards the end, when Stefan asked him to put on his 'prognosticator hat,' What Griffin said at 46:17 is what I believe will occur. The signs already point to it.

When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign: that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. ~J. Swift

Have you ever lived through a complete and total Bond market collapse?

Awesome video.

Two of my favorite people together... Discussing one of my favorite subjects.

Not sure I could find a better way to spend the next hour (I'm only about 10 minutes in).

Front page anyone? Probably not. This stuff rarely makes it there.

Edit:
At around 29min, I love this:

Decide what you are willing to fund when you pay your taxes:
[ ] War On Drugs
[ ] War in the middle east
[ ] War in Asia
[ ] Welfare for old folks
[ ] Welfare for children
etc...

Base budgets on that and divide the total cost for X across those checking the appropriate boxes. Yeah, let's see how long stuff lasts that way... :)
