Bradley Manning deserves to be free.

Forgive me for posting a paragraph from your article but perhaps more would read it if you put part of the article in your OP.

>>>
"Bradley Manning deserves to be free. He deserves to be lauded as the heroic individual that he is. If we truly want to honor his sacrifice, we won’t settle for begging mercy from the criminals he exposed. We will push to expose them, and their illegitimate claims to authority. We must remember that NO ONE has the right to hurt other people. NO ONE. We must reclaim our humanity, so that the necessity of a “Bradley Manning” is but a dimming memory in a more peaceful world."

Thanks!

Do you think it would be frowned upon if I made a separate entry.. and posted the whole article.. I don't really care about blog views.. I just want the message out there.

I'll leave the title as is on the article..but try to think of a more appealing title to grab views on the DailyPaul.

Thanks for supporting the article..and most importantly..the message contained within.

Excellent article by Danbojangles! Front Page Material!

Hi Danbojangles, thanks for yet another excellent article that deserves more attention! I especially love the last paragraph but don't want to be a spoiler for those who have not read it yet.

Well done, Sir!

If Wars Can Be Started by Lies, They Can Be Stopped By Truth.

wow! Thank you very much!

wow! Thank you very much! Honestly.. it's only been read (or rather "clicked") about 120 times... as opposed to the 1000's they usually get. I can't figure it out.. except perhaps the title being a little off-putting.

Thanks again for reading, commenting and the flattering compliment.

What do you think about an appeal

based on the Hutchins case?

"For it turns out that if a military prisoner has faced the least mistreatment during incarceration, even a temporary abuse of due process, then all charges against him will be dropped and he can walk free. And since Manning has manifestly faced any number of abuses of due process and egregious mistreatment, then we can be supremely confident that the military Court of Appeal -- which enshrined this Solomonic principle in a recent case -- will act with perfect consistency and release Bradley Manning in good time, whatever the eventual outcome of his current trial.'

Like Ron Paul said:

"It's an intellectual revolution". You can vote all you want for the lesser of the evils, assuming that it isn't rigged which it is, nothing will change unless individuals change in their way of thinking. Manning's tragic case is a glaring example of how deep America's sense of morality has fallen: he exposed war crimes yet the outrage, not only in the MSM but among regular folks, is that he broke the law... What about the war crimes? There's no outrage about the lack of accountability! You can't vote yourselves out of that.

Your immodest self-assessment

of your own article as an "engaging read" -- is spot on. Very well done. I particularly liked: "To think.. a young man, with the courage of his convictions to challenge the moral authority of the greatest purveyor of violence and misery some nations and peaceful peoples have EVER known, would be forced to seek redress for a blatantly unjust prison sentence by appealing to a man unquestionably guilty of the very crimes which he’s been condemned for exposing."

"Government" isn't "our representatives." It isn't a "just ruler," or a "legitimate authority." It's organized crime. Their "right to rule" does not exist, and we owe them nothing but contempt.
