Dear Mr. Gardner:
This letter is being prepared for delivery to you following today’s lunch break.
Earlier today, Assistant Secretary of State David Scanlan asked me for my consent to a recess in the recount, the recess to span Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
This is to inform you that I strenuously object to any suspension of the recount process.
I can think of no more important business for the State than the completion of the recount process.
The nation is in the early stages of the 2008 Presidential electoral process. The performance of the machines used in New Hampshire is of vital importance. The sooner the results are
known and available to the People and to other units of government charged with conducting Primaries and General Elections, the better for the nation.
In addition, with the sudden start of the recount process, I and the observers have made costly arrangements for transportation, housing and personal time away from their places of employment that cannot be changed without personal harm.
Before any decision is made to suspend the recount over my objection I am respectfully requesting that you cite your legal authority to suspend the recount over my objections and under the current facts and circumstances; it was bad enough that the recount was not started on the date explicitly required by New Hampshire law.

THIS is what they paid for?? The sad part is that Kucinich's own people poked their head in and said "yup - looks all good to us" and issued a statement saying that they were happy with the process. Go to Black Box Voting and read some of the threads- pretty eye-opening. Even mom and pop convenience stores have 24 hr security cams- is it really too damned much to ask that these ballot boxes be under a camera while in storage??

All you people working to get a recount in NH have my undying gratitude and respect. Thank you so much for the sacrifice and effort you are putting into this most important American system, the election process. Without people like you guarding our freedoms, things would be so much worse. Godspeed.

Bev can be a pain in the ass, but someone has to be, did you see the video? These people do not care about a good recount, they are old and lazy by the looks of it to me, can they be trusted? Hell, from what I see they should be fired who cares if they can be trusted.
Absolutely Unacceptable!
It is absolutely unacceptable that they should try to recess this and bump it to next week. New Hampshire needs to get it done. Is there anyone with clout that Albert Howard can turn to? Outrageous. The Secretary of State and staff will just have to postpone their vacation or whatever it is that beckons them from this important democratic process. Nevermind that Albert (via generous donations) has paid for this and is losing time and money from his work.
We need a 24 x 7 watch of the records building.
IMHO, there needs to be 24 x 7 watch team setup to watch the building for any unusual activity, especially after-hours. Recommend video surveillance.

Now I know why Dr. Paul
did not call for a recount. What a bunch of BS this is! They've already had 2 weeks to "fix" the results to make them match up. It's very obvious that something is rotten in the state of Denmark...we must all demand publicly hand-counted paper ballots nationwide NOW! Write your representatives, letters to the editor, etc. We are obviously being screwed.
