Rand Paul Toasts Henry David Thoreau at TIME 100 Gala

Great example of perhaps what I like most about Rand - the ways in which he throws a monkey wrench in the brains of liberals. Here, in a room full of state-worshipping liberals, he proposes a toast to *abolitionist/environmentalist*, yet civil disobedient Thoreau:

Rand has that "next president

Rand has that "next president of the United States" vibe going on. Great toast!

best Rand speech ever

Why can't Rand talk like this all the time? Think of all the people he could educate.

Toastmaster

This is probably one of the best speeches I have seen and heard from Rand. It started off with a bit of inside and overt humor, conveyed elegantly the message of liberty (to be left alone to do as will), deftly associated a figure extolled by all American universities with contemporary challenges, and kept to a concise two minutes.

Hilllary, you don"t stand a chance!

Go Rand!

Google is government.

very good..

I enjoyed the speech... however it is truly sad to look at the faces of the people who seem to have the slightest care in the world of what he is saying or the point he is trying to make... c'mon people!

But the lips of knowledge are a more precious thing.

That was beautiful

One of the best things I've seen him to do date.

He uses American history like a sword.

Totally flipped the guilt switch on them and made it go down like butter.

The only thing missing was a casual *drop mic* as he turned and walked off.

Thanks for posting

I haven't seen this one before. Very nice.
