Your Analysis is Off

I'm not outraged at all at your name calling. I won't stoop to that level and address the entirety of your ramblings but the one that is the furthest off instead.

"Using race to determine the quality of an individual is racist. Even when you quote studies, guy."

You ignoring my statment that you cannot use race to detemine the merit of an individual is either just a sloppy reply or an intentional effort to try to make my comment fit into your view.

My analysis is dead on.

I did not call any names, though your saying so makes me want to (and gives me a right to)...

And last, you say "you can't determine the merit based on race", after you had done just that...

You can't undo what you have just done my claiming to oppose what you just did after it is over... Unless you work for the government.

Apparently you have trouble with reading comprehension

Noone is undoing the what they have done. Reread what I wrote in my original comment that sent you down the rabbit hole you've conjured up.

"Does this mean you should judge people on the color of their skin? ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

I'm sorry the statistics don't fit your narrative, CNN and MSNBC are looking for people just like you. Both for their employees and their viewers.

And if it makes you feel better to call me names, please go ahead. It doesn't offend me in the slightest and if it makes your plight easier to bear, go for it.

The statistics not only fit my narrative...

But they have been repeated by Ron Paul in speeches on the very same subject.

Are you going to say he was wrong too? Just curious.

And being racist universally, and then claiming to not be racist on an individual level is well... you. And silly.

You disregard one set but accept the other

What I find difficult to follow you on is your acceptance of one set of statistics but your disregard of another set. But yet you say that using these statistics make me a "collectivist" and in the same thread then report statistics. Take a deep breath, gather your thoughts and then reply. It will make your replies much more coherent.

I'm not disagreeing with any of the statistics Ron Paul has mentioned about blacks being penalized by our corrupt judicial system more than whites or hispanics. I believe those to be true just as I believe the statistics I have cited to be true.

I think you may be coming around to seeing that statistics are useful when looking at issues and ways to solve them given your citation about said statistics. Right? So they aren't collectivist after all?

Love how you throw being racist around. I'm universally racist because I cited statistics. Man, you're really off your rocker. You know nothing about me but because I cited statistics I'm a universally racist person?

It's about inference...

"What I find difficult to follow you on is your acceptance of one set of statistics but your disregard of another set. But yet you say that using these statistics make me a "collectivist" and in the same thread then report statistics."

I do not disregard them as statistics. That's not what I said. Your use of them is. You use the statistics to draw a correlation between character and race. Statistics on government oppression is not collectivist, it's anti-government. Statistics saying this race or that is likely be "bad people", is racist.

While the statistics are likely true, they ignore the non-racial components in favor of racists conclusions.

Collectivist. I do not necessarily believe you are racist, but you are using racist reasoning, which makes you a collectivist at the very least... Just as bad.

Sorry but no cigar

By citing statistics there is no inference. I think the inference is all you. You infer that because I quote statistics that don't fit your idea, I am therefore against you or how you identify.

I am in no way using racist reasoning and am anything but a collectivist. If we were to have this conversation, in person in the real world, I think you would get that. Unfortunately in the digital world, people draw conclusions about others that are not based on fact.

Here's the thing, we aren't going to agree on this and I have a lot to do today. I have enjoyed our exchange though and although we will most likely never share the same thoughts on this, I don't have anything against you or hold our difference of opinion against you. We can simply agree to disagree.

Yes those facts are true

...my only point is to not allow oneself to be manipulated by the media and how it decides to stir up the unwashed mob :)

By focusing on those statistics, even though they are accurate, plays into their hands of focusing on race. Focusing on race and classes is exactly what the ptb want.

Try having a discussion with your black friends about these statistics, I'm sure they will cite some white privileged statistics to shove back in your face. So what are the underlying causes of these statistics? Well, arguing the underlying causes will keep you both spinning your wheels uselessly forever and NOT benefit the liberty cause. It will only alienate your interlocutor.

Try focusing on principles, logic, truth reality, and HUMAN or individual rights and principles (life, liberty, pursuit of happiness).

Again, your facts are true, but does citing them or focusing them accomplish anything? Does Ron Paul focus on these?

I was focusing on logic

That is exactly why I was giving you the statistics. I think Ron Paul would work on looking at the facts and then work towards a remedy. If you re-read my post you'll see that is exactly what I'm advocating. Use statistics to properly diagnose an issue and then figure out solutions based on real numbers and not feelings. Dr. Paul is a doctor so I'm fairly certain that he uses facts to diagnose issues and then work towards treatment of those issues.

And, I'm here on the DP and a Ron Paul supporter so I don't think I'm being brainwashed by the media.

Okay if the statistics help to find the target of our efforts to

educate people about liberty. I guess my only point was to be careful about 'statistics' and how they are used (and presented/received).

I think most people on the DP are on the same page, we just get caught up arguing around each other.

I like this;

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

Well thank God Washington has

Well thank God Washington has strict gun laws, otherwise these creeps would have shot him to death like in Oklahoma. I bet the man was grateful they used fists, it was a more progressive way to die.

Southern Agrarian

Maybe Libertarians should be above race-baiting

Otherwise we are just as bad as liberals.

I agree.

I agree.

If we are to denounce anything, I'd rather focus my efforts on counter-attacking the rhetoric of the liars, crooks IN CHARGE, IN OFFICE, OR IN "CHURCHES" (for a recent example) who are the very next preparing themselves to bounce and benefit from all these stories of shame and misery.

Denounce the fallacies, strawmen from an ObaMARX, a Farrakhan, a Feinstein, a Pelosi, et al. CALL THEM for who they really are, how much they pretend and lie, and what they do behind the veil or in plain sight - with demagoguery, and unjust, perverted laws - rather.

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.
