Does the DP have members who are Islamic or Muslim?

I have been around the DP for years now, and have wondered are there any people, brothers or sisters of this faith or culture, that believe in principals of Ron Paul? Who believes in peace and liberty?

I am by far, not ignorant, but am curious if we have people among us, that see these problems from their culture that they do not believe?

I am curious as to wonder if there is another side to it that we have not heard. Speak up please, as I would love to know and understand your points of view.

In my personal belief I know there are people all over the world with that faith and culture, who do not support the radical version of the culture.

This post is made with the ut most respect to fellow humans, and getting views that I don't know first hand.

edit ( by the way I am a 40 year old American, who is in a state of mind, knowing there is something way more powerful than humans in the spiritual sense, but just not sure exactly what it is)

We used to have more

Jews For Ron Paul, Muslims For Ron Paul, you won't hear much from them these days...for obvious reasons I think.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

I grew up in the Segregated South, but went to a ...

multicultural school. We had a significant number of Jews, Syrians and Lebanese, Muslims and Catholics. It was a cliquish school, but the cliques were based on grooming and sports.

Since I left school I have met people of virtually every culture. Except for Zionists, who have a ill-founded conceit of their own self-importance and bigots from around the country, I have found virtually nothing different about the core values of most people. Even most of the wealthy people I have met have been kind and down-to-earth. Sixty-four years of experience has shown me that the best way to find trouble is to look for it.

I am a convert to Islam

I am a Southerner and former Christian. I enjoy my new found faith. I am not anti-Jewish, but I am pro-Constitution(Bill of Rights)and I am anti-Zionist. Belief in a particular religion should be based on an individual's free will and not imposed by any government. I believe in Patrick Henry's words: "Give me Liberty or give me death." I am opposed to my government's treatment of Muslims and their war crimes. Freedom belongs to all of God's children.

USA treats Muslims no different than anyone else

The difference come to terrorists. Christian, Jewish and Agnostic, Atheist, Bughist, Hindu, Janes and other religious terrorists go through our court system, unless they are in the military like Manning, who went through a tribunal.

The Muslims who chose to go through the US court system are treated just as the others.. the ones who demand to be tried by Sharia law are locked up indefinately because the US does not have a Sharia court.

There are 32 states now going through a process of looking at Sharia law, and that's where you find many Americans resent this. When in Roam or America, you accept the law of the land, so are Muslims coming to America to change it? Are they forcing thie laws on the people?

I've told that Muslims tolerate Americans, they do not respect them.

Is that true?

Granger, you are brainwashed.

You are full of hate and deception. Please never address me on Daily Paul again.

God Help You

You know NOTHING!

You should just stop now before you embarress yourself! As a Muslim, I can tell you that there is no words in the Quran that tell us to follow any law, but that of where we live. You demonize Islam, but you obviously are only vomiting what you hear on Faux news or what another religion says. Why don't you research it from people who actually have read the Quran in its native tongue (which is how you are suppose to read it, to understand it). I'm upset cause you have spoken on this subject before, and in the same negative way.

And you teach NOTHING

You're upset because I am right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaGHUZ-8DWw

you are insane

I call you a moron, you get upset, and I say you are upset cause you know I'm right. Nice logic. He's mad cause you are spreading hateful lies about. Religion you know nothing about. You don't respond to anything he says, you just come back with "your mad because you know I'm right"? I have to say, you are good at stirring trouble and trolling. You are like the Sean Hannity of the Daily Paul, which I'm sure you find as a complement.

When did you upset me?

You say I am insane. You say I am upset. You assume much about me to insult. Is that all you've got? Pretty weak.

I'm not spreading lies. I'm not saying anything that I can't back up. Go for it. List your greivance.

I know some about Islam, as I explained in a previous post when people asked me if I was Sufi. I didn't know what a Sufi was, so I had to do some homework and was amazed, as I had no idea that my life was so Sufi.. So I know quite a bit about being Sufi as so many strangers asked me, :"Are you a Sufi?"

You can say whatever pleases you, inlcuding insults and lies about me. It does not upset me. You have no power over me. Do what YOU want. I don't know much about Hannity, never listened to him.. I did see the YouTibe where he was snowballed by Ron Paul rEVOLuton back in 07.. that was funny, though I bet it frightened him and frightening people is not a good thing.. but some things that are funny really are not funny.

So, no; I find what you post to and about me as an insult and I will not expect that you have anything but insults for me. Still, I encourage you to do what you want. It's not your life I'm interested in judging, it's my own, and despite you, I am free, life is good.

you are so brainwashed,
You said you were raised by the Zionist funded doctrine of the military industrial complex!
Just sayin,,,,,

The bankers we dined with didn't like Jews, prefered British and French MIC contractors.

I can't believe you are even writing this. You are a brainwashed idiot that is searching for a Utopia outside of yourself. You have NOTHING TO SHARE BUT HATE.

To better understand Islam, get a copy of the Quran and read it.

To understand how Muslims feel, learn how to pray and do it on time, 5 times a day wherever you are, fast the month of Ramadan, then do the Hajj to Mecca.

Are there Muslims "who do not support the radical version of the culture."? Are there Christians who would not have killed off the native Indians, dropped atomic bombs on Japan, sprayed Vietnam with agent orange, dumped depleted Uranium in Iraq, killed millions in order to take their natural resources, and continue to terrorize the world with their evil?

George Bush in his post 9/11 State of the Union Address, declared war on Islam and praised and encouraged Americans to hold prejudice against Muslims. From our military to little old ladies in the suburbs, sheepish Americans followed along. (by the way, 9/11 was an inside job, perpetrated by evil people of ALL faiths, IMHO)

The concept of God is beyond my capacity to understand. I am not a polytheist, and of the persons gifted with profound moral insight and exceptional powers of expression, which we call prophets, Mohammad, PBUH, was one.

If you see something, say something, the government is listening.
Silence isn't golden, it's yellow.

Thank you Linda,

A lot of people on DP have tried to help Granger. Reading through her things tonight was like sucking evil out of an exhaust pipe.

I've always seen her as a wounded dove type with a strong heart for good. No more. Sadly I see no more than evil venom spewing.

I believe that every heart born on this earth is imprinted with the Golden Rule as a guide.

Some get it, and some don't.

I am NO fan of Bush

Bush made it very clear, this was not a war against Islam; however I am convinced many Islamics want it to be a war and against Islam.

What Bush did was sign treaties with the UN Agenda.. The UN is a democratic majority of Communist and Islamic nations, and what Islam does not like, is the smae thing many Americans do not like, and that is the UN Agenda which takes property, rights and arms and dictates how you will live in your country in the name of Democracy because the UN is a Democracy.

MANY Americans see what Bush did as a war on America, not Islam. Today, 32 state's courts are being challanged to adopt Sharia law. It's the kind of war where not a shot is fired, but the people wakew up to find they don't know their country. The fear is that since Americans don't know or understand Sharia laws, if it passes, as did in parts of Europe, and why 1/2 million Jews are seeking Amnesty in Israel, someone who does know Sharia law can accuse an American and ask for the court to be Sharia.. the American will lose every time.

I have not read the Quoran, but have seen many lectors, and as a woman, a Western Woman.. they would have my head faster than I could blink an eye.. least we forget Benazir Bhutto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benazir_Bhutto

I normally don't comment on religion

and reading through this thread I remember why. There are so many people down-voting each other due to differences of religious opinion. Religion starts fights and wars. It's better kept private. No matter how much I think I know, I could be wrong anyway, I just hope that Christians aren't right. Thanks for your thoughtful comment, my friend.

If you see something, say something, the government is listening.
Silence isn't golden, it's yellow.

That's like saying

I don't like guns because guns kill people.

I like religion because it is so profound and diverse, and I apprecaite being an American because that gave me the opportunity to find my own God (or not).

Thank you for your kindness

Check out Syrian Girl

If you have not done so yet...She speaks for many of the Syrian people and does youtube presentations...there are several links to her on DP today - particularly after the Syrian chemical attack. Great insights from an inside Syrian.

GOD ~ surly you jest

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Life is a sexually transmitted disease with a 100% fatality rate.
Don't Give me Liberty, I'll get up and get it myself!

My favorite riddle from one

My favorite riddle from one of my favorite philosophers. But not really neccessary on this thread is it? I mean, I'm as Atheist as they come, but the Epicurus riddle doesn't shed any light on the op's query.

God most probably is not omnipotent, hence His instruction for us to pray for 'His will to be done.' Why would he ask us to pray for such a thing, if our prayers were meaningless and had no effect on His will?

The mistake most people make using this kind of argument is that they assume they have perfect knowledge of His powers and history. We do not; however, from scripture we know that "the evil one" has domain in this world, which is evident from Satan's temptation of Jesus Christ in the desert.

A lack of omnipotence is not evidence against the existence of God.

I'm not religious, but

This is all covered under the "free will" clause in the Bible. If God intervened, we wouldn't have free will, and if we don't have free will then what's the point of all this?

I am a Jew for Peace & Liberty

In case anyone was asking...

Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

Bad joke.

mah bad

Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

Jews are humbly welcome. Zionists are not. Glad to see you here.

They're not? Are you the DP hall monitor?

I support the existence of the nation state of Israel.

Does that make me a "Zionist"?

If it does, does that mean a natural born American citizen of five generations, a constitutional conservative and libertarian, is not welcomed (by you only, of course) on DP, simply because he blesses Israel as per his faith?

And, btw, I'm cool, you don't have to humble yourself to welcome a Jew.

As an individualist, I already know the answers to the questions I asked you. The answer is it depends on the individual being asked.

Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

Are you looking for an argument?

I was trying to be cordial.

Obviously I can't stop people posting threads or creating accounts, but that doesn't mean that they "aren't welcome" in my book. And if I had that ability, I wouldn't want to use it anyways.

There's several qualifiers that make someone a zionist and I wouldn't say supporting the existence of the state of Israel covers all of them, but it's definitely a piece of it.

A true zionist, in my mind, is a hindrance to the liberty movement and to the prosperity of the world. They have no desire for peace in the middle east.
