People have prayed for millennia for peace with no effect.

Wars and rumors of wars continue to this day, the latest being Syria and the alleged report of gassing the Syrian people by the Syrian government. People have prayed for millennia to protect the children against predators of all varieties in all countries with no effect. Still children are stolen, raped, beaten and incarcerated for the most innocuous acts of playful children, and ultimately killed with righteous indignation. The prayers of these many millions of worshipers fell on deaf ears. Is anybody there to hear these prayers? Was anybody listening? Is this part of 'thy will be done'? Were the prayers the wrong ones? Did not enough people pray for peace or the protection of children at the same time, with the same prayer, the right prayer? What is the right prayer? Where is the God of our teachings that he didn't respond to our plea?

Praying makes you feel good I know. But what good does it do for the people you're praying for?

Really? Maybe you should have

Really? Maybe you should have used that time to do something instead of wasting it doing silly make believe rituals.

It is time to face the ugly truth,...

most of us are not going to make it. When you pray, make peace with yourself and your maker and do your best to forgive yourself and those who have brought us to this.

I pray a lot too

but it's distracting in church when they tell me to pray for the UN to do a good job.
I just feel dirty living in this country. Lord, please wash this place clean.

It says He is coming with a sword

not to bring peace, I think we are on our way.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

"It's A Dark Day In Our Nation"

Martin Luther King, "It's A Dark Day In Our Nation"

Sermon at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on April 30, 1967

"Tomorrow may be too late. The book may close. And don't let anybody make you think that God chose America as his divine, messianic force to be a sort of policeman of the whole world. God has a way of standing before the nations with judgment, and it seems that I can hear God saying to America, "You're too arrogant! And if you don't change your ways, I will rise up and break the backbone of your power, and I'll place it in the hands of a nation that doesn't even know my name. Be still and know that I'm God."

Ditto...

I'm down for that.

God forgives always. Man forgives sometimes. But Nature never forgives.

According To His Will

We need to pray "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done" and then with faith, watch as things unfold according to His will!

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

I truly believe...

..we need God in this country. Our nation has become so secular, BUT that doesn't mean that it should be enforced by the state. Every person should have a choice to accept Christ or not. But we do need to pray ALOT.

There, I just made a Libertarian case for Christianity (or vice versa). Take that social conservatives.

praying together ... en mass

... works. Pray for all the individual sovereign souls

Great! Lets use this as an experiment

We will see if prayer works!

Instead of talking to your

Instead of talking to your pillow, you should become a PCO, then find other liberty minded people to join you. Take over your local party and dismantle the establishment 1 county at a time.

Thomas Jefferson: "I find the harder I work, the more luck I have."

Praying for peace seems futile.

If you believe in the bible's upcoming tribulation. It's also silly to believe in a pre-trib rapture. Do you really think God is going to save you from all the character building the tribulation will bring?

I too

Pray for Peace.

I believe in the freedom to be what we choose to be.

There's more than that to pray for.

There's understanding and intuition between the situations
and the different places we place ourselves
and the ways it's always something like the same
but not like home
and never again,
but sound and light and sense
say something's happening so we say our statements
and go our ways.
Something's wrong with what's right today.

9-11 was a panda job.

To Whom

did you pray to?

Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Why Would You Ask that?

Most of us pray to the God of our understanding. That is good enough for Ron Paul and it is good enough for me.

Thanks for your prayers P. Nicholson........I feel, more of us need to be praying now too!
