US 'backed plan to launch chemical weapon attack on Syria, blame it on Assad govt': Report
By ANI | ANI – Wed 30 Jan, 2013

London, Jan 30 (ANI): The Obama administration gave green signal to a chemical weapons attack plan in Syria that could be blamed on President Bashar al Assad's regime and in turn, spur international military action in the devastated country, leaked documents have shown.

A new report, that contains an email exchange between two senior officials at British-based contractor Britam Defence, showed a scheme 'approved by Washington'.

As per the scheme 'Qatar would fund rebel forces in Syria to use chemical weapons,' the Daily Mail reports.

Barack Obama made it clear to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad last month that the U.S. would not tolerate Syria using chemical weapons against its own people.

According to Infowars.com, the December 25 email was sent from Britam's Business Development Director David Goulding to company founder Philip Doughty.

The emails were released by a Malaysian hacker who also obtained senior executives resumes and copies of passports via an unprotected company server, according to Cyber War News.

According to the paper, the U.S. State Department has declined to comment on the matter. (ANI)

Barack Obama made it clear to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad last month that the U.S. would not tolerate Syria using chemical weapons against its own people.

According to Infowars.com, the December 25 email was sent from Britam’s Business Development Director David Goulding to company founder Philip Doughty.

It reads: ‘Phil… We’ve got a new offer. It’s about Syria again. Qataris propose an attractive deal and swear that the idea is approved by Washington.

‘We’ll have to deliver a CW to Homs, a Soviet origin g-shell from Libya similar to those that Assad should have.

‘They want us to deploy our Ukrainian personnel that should speak Russian and make a video record.

‘Frankly, I don’t think it’s a good idea but the sums proposed are enormous. Your opinion?

‘Kind regards, David.’

Britam Defence had not yet returned a request for comment to MailOnline.

The emails were released by a Malaysian hacker who also obtained senior executives resumés and copies of passports via an unprotected company server, according to Cyber War News.

Dave Goulding’s Linkedin profile lists him as Business Development Director at Britam Defence Ltd in Security and Investigations. A business networking profile for Phil Doughty lists him as Chief Operationg Officer for Britam, United Arab Emirates, Security and Investigations.

The U.S. State Department had not returned a request for comment on the alleged emails to MailOnline today at time of publication.

Good find, Steve.

Bumping.

I hope this bullshit will make more sheeple wake the fuck up. I'm tired of all of it.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Yeah, and the Associated Press reported that Barack Obama...

was "Kenyan-born" in 2004. What difference does it make if people don't have either the sense or the stones to DO something about it?

We can stop this war, but it won't be with peaceful demonstrations or letters to our members of Congress.

A Yahoo! article citing Infowars?

Not dogging on infowars, but I haven't seen it cited as a source for mainstream news before. Only see it pop up on Drudge from time to time.

Hmm... Doughty. Sounds familiar.

I wonder if this Mr. Doughty is related to the Charles M. Doughty, author of "Travels in Arabia Deserta" in the 1870's. Would make sense, british dynasties making their living, dicking around in the middle east for generations.

as of yesterday Yahoo requires a valid phone # for registration

and sends a sms text with code for confirmation...

any know how i can receive sms code without using my phone?

personally i find what yahoo is doing a little creepy...

I suppose one could always

I suppose one could always get a temporary number from Google Voice, then cancel the temp account after.

Where

is the email to read for confirmation? I don't see anything sourced in this article at all. It says infowars...but you go to infowars and they direct you to the yahoo article.

I'm not buying it until the "report" or "email" are made visible.

I'm not saying this isn't a false flag....but I wouldn't use this article as the proof of that.

Online business profiles confirm that both David Goulding and Philip Doughty work for Britam Defence.
At around the same time, a source told Syrian news channel Addounia that a Saudi company had fitted 1400 ambulance vehicles with anti-gas & anti-chemical filtering systems at a cost of $97,000 dollars each, in preparation for a chemical weapons attack carried out by FSA rebels using mortar rounds. A further 400 vehicles were prepared as troop carriers.

The attack would be blamed on the Syrian Army and exploited as an excuse for a military assault. A March 2012 Brookings Institution report entitled Saving Syria: Assessing Options For Regime Change outlined this very scenario – where a manufactured humanitarian crisis would be cited as justification for an attack.

Any connection to

Benghazi?

SteveMT's picture

The connection is a continuum of more of the same.

If Benghazi had gotten us into war, then this chemical attack would not have been needed. Benghazi didn't work, so now this was done. All of the saber-rattling with Iran didn't work either. If this chemical attack is not successful in making a world war, then something even bigger will be done. These people desperately need a war because the dollar is cooked.

I'm referring to

the transfer of weapons from Benghazi, through Turkey to Syria. Were chemical weapons involved in this transfer?

more info-

Aside from the facts that Britam is not a PMC and that it seems unlikely that two high level executives would openly discuss such a plan in an unencrypted email, there's other evidence to suggest the emails were altered-
http://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/1794vf/britam_def...

Also the DailyMail retracted their story and paid damages, if there were a way they could had authenticated it surely they would had-

And some more, including the CEO of Britam's statements-

Sick As It Sounds

Rebels using the gas sounds very plausible. Who stands most to gain from an allegation that the Assad regime used chemical weapons?

Certainly the Assad regime, while ruthless and uncompromising, would understand that such use would generate an almost immediate response from Western powers, including escalated US intervention. Surely they can't want that; or are they counting on the Soviets to counter that impulse? That's a bold play, in any case.

I Get The Feeling

That THIS is the story Michael Hastings was really pursuing.

Now all the pieces fit together nicely. Benghazi, the gun-running, the funding/equipping of "rebels", the shut-down of the embassies. It is all the same story.

Feet to the god damn fire and confirm this fucking shit.

if this is true and proveable, every journalist out there should be on this PERIOD......this is not something they can hide behind "imunity", not if there is evidence

This is a time when a whistleblower could really show them for who they are

US funded Al-Qaeda rebels in

US funded Al-Qaeda rebels in Syria used chemical weapons on the Syrian people. That's a fact Jack.

They don't care if few people believe the official government story. They just want to start their bankster war to cover up the economic collapse and finish the Project for a New American Century Plan.

I just hope Iran and Syria are ready, and give the banksters what they deserve.

Perhaps before we're all incinerated, we take care of the true criminals first.
