No leave for army - September and October
Wed, 28 Aug 2013 00:00 CDT

I don't believe a lot of what I read on Before It's News, et. al., until I see the facts for myself. I always do my own research. There are a lot of folks out there making things up just to get their names out on the net.

The rumor that has been going around about no one in the Army getting to take leave during the month of September and October is one of the things I had to see for myself. If that were true, that is a very big deal. It doesn't happen very often.

My daughter and her husband have just been stationed at Ft. Riley, KS. He is in a unit that has just returned recently from deployment and is on "recovery phase" They are not slated to deploy anywhere anytime in the near future. My daughter called last night and said that they have all been told that they will get no leave in September through October. They were even told that they are on QRF, (Quick Reaction Force)

I just confirmed this for myself...

I asked a woman I work with whose husband is in the Army if this is true. She said she didn't know and would ask him. He said "Yes, with the escalating factors in Syria and Iraq, most divisions are being put on alert."

This is interesting. My

This is interesting. My brother is in the navy so if he comes by, I will be sure to ask if he has heard anything.(although I think hes out with his ship for another week)(his ship is one that carries marines)
But yes, canceling leave for two months means they seriously think something might happen.

What's wrong with privateers?

Honestly, Privateers have more Constitutionality compared to standing armies. Letters of Marque and reprisal were a way for the US Government to carry out some of its "strategies" and not have to raise a large navy or army.

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."

They can't cancel leave

of a unit if you just got back from theater, as per HR 3159:

The only exception being an imminent attack within CONUS.

They have at least a year of being in garrison.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

My Buddy Who Is An Army Helicopter Pilot

told me yesterday he's coming home in September.. Maybe not the entire Army is on ready alert

Are you sure he's not with a

Are you sure he's not with a private contractor?

Its very very serious if the military cancels leaves even for one week. Can this be true?

Comet Ison? One common

Comet Ison? One common sentiment among both doomsayers and astronomers is the "notoriously unpredictable" nature of comets. We'll see if the apparent preparation for some national event is celestial or something else.
