Judge Napolitano Presidential Draft Effort Picks Up Steam

The effort to draft former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano, best known for his work as a libertarian pundit on Fox News for 15 years, is picking up steam.

On Wednesday, the Virginia-based Committee to Draft Judge Andrew Napolitano for President announced it had gathered almost 100,000 signatures urging him to run for president in 2016 and had garnered more than 36,000 likes on Facebook.

like gary johnson

i doubt if he'd want to be in that snake pit.

FYI, GJ got re-elected twice!!!

GJ got re-elected twice as governor in that snake pit.

I don't why GJ won't make the Senate run. He's be absolutely awesome! We need better company in the Senate. GJ has the name recognition to do it in NM!

it was he who called the senate a snake pit.

guv is a different kettle of fish.

& yes i realize he was gov twice, and as a republican won in a mostly democrat state.

i like johnson a lot. voted for him last time.

correct me if i'm wrong but can't he run for guv again now?
or for prez either LP or republican again... that's what appeals to
him according to the interviews i've read.

The other thing is...

Even if the Senate is a snake pit and Governor is a different kettle of fish...it's still a state-wide race. If GJ can kill it on the state level twice as governor...why not take a shot at Senate?

I saw

senator paul the other day discussing syria on some MSM program. asked if congress would ok the war paul stated: "the senate will rubber stamp it,
but in the house there will be a fight"
why would gary johnson want to be part of a body that rubber stamps whatever the president wants?

I remember seeing that...

All the more reason for him to get on the Senate so it becomes less of rubber stamp.

But mainly because a Senator is FAR more powerful than a puny Congressman. Rand Paul speaks volumes louder than Ron Paul ever could!
-His filibustering on drones
-Attacking DoE on toilet regulations!
-the list is endless

The fact is you have more authority as a senator to REALLY piss off the establishment. Those authorities are not granted to congressmen. Only the Speaker of the House can really shake things up in the Congress or if you're a Chairman of a committee. Ron Paul's entire tenure earned him only Chairman of a SUB-committee! So it's really hard to shake things up in Congress.

Another example is Amash can't make any ripples compared to the tidal waves being created by Rand Paul.

No doubt I would LOVE to have GJ on the Senate...no doubts at all! GJ would make tidal waves. We need tidal waves!

i hear you loud and clear

there is a facebook page: Johnson for senate 2014

That's awesome! Obviously,

That's awesome!

Obviously, it's up to GJ to decide. Who am I or anyone else to tell him what to do. I just figured when you're such a huge state figure, why not go for the Senate and make big headlines instead of getting frustrated and ignored by doing 3rd party runs.

you'd have to ask him

but he has stated he's not interested. maybe he will change his mind though.
he does these "hang out sessions" where people with skype can ask him stuff.
REASON did one with him that was good. well worth watching. i believe he even explains
in that one why he doesn't have an interest.

he was saying

He is not interested in another run for governor or not interested in running for senate? Or both?

Homeland security statement: patriotism is now considered terrorism.
I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.

is not interested in the senate. he might be interested in guv, or prez either with LP or GOP, with the latter
mostly so he has a chance to get in the debates, to spread the libertarian message (much like ron paul)
i believe you can still watch the hangout at REASON.

I don't know NM's laws. I

I don't know NM's laws. I know TX has no term limits.

If he won senate, can you imagine the hell he could raise! I wish he would do that. It could potentially lead him to a viable presidential candidacy down the road instead of hopeless, fringe, 3rd party attempts.

I voted for him for president as well : )

easily the best choice so far.

I agree

He already has the Fox news/Neocon Base. He breaks down the law and the Constitution in easy to understand language.
Not easily rattled, Has no past history the media can go after. That I have heard.
And I really friendly guy. My sister and I talk to him for about 10 minutes. Great guy!

Im down

Ok, I'll bite on this

A few questions before I can comment on this:

Was the petition online or written signature?

What were the specifics on the petition that were interpreted as support of Mr Napolitano?

The article linked to was just as vague as the OP. I prefer facts to opinion, rumor, inuendo, etc.
