WOW media is trying really hard to sell Syrian War

Came home to visit my parents this weekend and got a chance to watch CNN--I don't have a TV, haven't had one for a while, so sometimes I forget how ridiculous these news programs have become, or maybe they were always ridiculous but I'm just smarter now--nonetheless, WOW! The media is trying soooo dammnn hard to sell this war, and if it wasn't so tragic, it would be hilarious. I feel like I'm watching Wag The Dog actually happen right before my eyes.

The thing is though, as hard as Wolf and his pack try to sell this war, this time, I really don't think it's working.

I hope I'm right.

CNN invented the 24-hr nonstop war in yer living room experience

Since CNN invented the 24-hr nonstop war in yer living room experience in 1990 with the coverage of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, catapulting American pride in her armed forces for the first time since Vietnam, it should come as no surprise that they are shoving Syria down out throats.

This is the only way for CNN to recapture its ratings, if only for a short period of conflict. They are experienced with the embedded reporter, as shown in the Afghan and Iraq invasions. There is no reason to assume they have not mobilized for war, with full cooperation from the army, ready to parachute into Syria with cameras ready to capture every explosion.

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

Email your representative

I've just left this comment at my Congressperson's "contact" form on her website:

"Do NOT under any circumstances, allow the Lunatic-in-chief to get America bogged down in yet another unwinnable, immoral, unconstitutional war or "police action" or whatever he wants to call it; We MUST stop wasting American lives and treasure intervening in other countries' civil wars. It would serve ABSOLUTELY NO PURPOSE, and would FURTHER UNDERMINE America's credibility around the world."

Find out who your representative is and send this or a similar message - call, fax, email, or even snail mail.

MSM = The Ministry of Truth

The reason for MSM's failure to incite another war is that the People know the MSM and the government are synonymous.

The CIA and Pentagon have covert embeds in the MSM

As well as small armies of advisors for each of the major networks.

Also, the trilateral commission, the council on foreign relations, the DoD - they are all in there.

The CIA especially - after Watergate they wanted to be sure they'd never be caught with their hand in the cookie jar again.

EDIT: Hah, with all that I almost forgot foreign embeds, Israel and China.

Divide, use, then reject and conquer.

Hypocrisy of the highest order. Sec. Kerry pontificates false outrage, when with his concurrence and the other listless congressional troth feeders, they have allowed the stockpiling of US made chemical weaponry in Syria for years. This all happened previous to the 'divide and conquer' switch that seamlessly made Syria into an adversary from an ally. Then the MSM, without alluding to the previous friendly relationships, piles on with repetitions nonsense, and expects an aware and awake US public to digest and believe their tripe. No way, Jose.

Agreed. Is there a Hall of Shame for journalists?

Selling this war is like

Selling this war is like trying to sell a hot turd sandwich.

If it doesn't smell good, and it doesn't look good, it's not going to taste good.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

About 90% of America agrees with you....

The other 10% believe the MSM

They're in their death throes......

Hear them gurgling in their desperation?

People are tiring of commercials and war, switching to alternative news and netflix!

I'm the same way. I saw the TV at the VA hospital and I swear, 3 minutes of programming and 5-7 minutes of commercials for bank cards, insurance, new cars, more commercial laden shows, drugs, new and improved GMOs, fast food, excersize equipment......

It's like the movie demolition man with all the old jingles instead of music in our future!

It's no wonder they call it "commercial TV"!

If you can read this thank a teacher. Because it's in English thank a soldier!

"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money."
- Alexis de Tocqueville

FYI: "Promos"

Just FYI:
- It's only a "commercial" if it's a paid advertisement.
- If it's touting another show on the same station/network it's a "promo" (promotion).
- If it's touting some non-commercial thing, like announcing the next city council meeting, as part of the station's "community service", it's a "PSA" ("pee-ess-aay" = public service announcement).

Not that the distinction matters to us, since they're all eyeball/ear-wash while we're waiting around to actually see or hear the programming.
