Would you support a filibuster by Rand Paul to stop President Obama's intervention in Syria?

From the 'Rand Paul 2016' facebook page.

If so, it could be an epic filibuster.

The Statement by Andrew (sharp knife) Jackson

The name given to him by Indians says it all about you, that statement is an expansion of the term Treason without using the word Treason, in essence unconstitutional, I liked his Banking policy but he did not believe in basic human rights, he treated the Indians and Blacks as worse then animals. "The people I Hate"? strong language there bud, are the "purists," How do you like Ron Paul? I don't agree with his Gay marriage stance, his being against the death penalty, or his lack of condemning Israel for War crimes in 1982, but hey I agree with about everything else, he is more a purist then I am. You must be one of those Rand cult of personality type worshipers, I am not, I see his flaws but also see that he is the best Senator we've had in 100 years.

Hypocritical words on my part

It was hypocritical to say I hate something while trying to defend a member I respect.

I consider anyone who leans towards libertarian ideologies an ally at the very least.

I hate the tendency of people here to try to exclude other people from what we collectively call 'the movement'.

In my opinion someone like The Granger can be a valuable asset to the cause of liberty. I feel like one's time would be better served to point out flaws to people in opposition to our cause. I think posting slander about corrupt congressmen up for re-election next year would better serve our cause than slandering and attacking people we mostly agree with.

Andrew Jackson is my hero because he was a common man from a humble upbringing. He was a regular man with serious flaws. He threw giant open invite parties on the White House lawn, was a British POW as a teenager, then whipped the British out of New Orleans long after the war was over. I see Andrew Jackson as a hero like Ron Paul. As you said I see his flaws but I realize that he is the best President we've had in our 200+ years.

we are

one foot on the constitution and one foot into the NWO.. laws have been changing by precsident, not constitution.. there's a lot of talk about constitution, but no action.. rand today questioned Kerry about the constitution.. Kerry didn't answer, meaning,, they will get around the constitution.

The US has been training with NATO since it's creation.. we have wars to certify new weapons.. when a weapon is certified, we sell them, when we make a sale, we train troops in the US..

Yes, I know Islam murders people who they consider infildels, and being the wrong kind of Muslim.. not Muslim enough..

Assad is pulling off a holocast.. and it's going to grow because the NWO figured out they can have Johadist do their dirty work, while they destroy the infrastructor.. have you seen any vids of what's going on in Syria?

I've been studying Israel and the ME for a few months.. 460 anto-Israel YouTubes to 5 pro-Israel.. and people want to tell me that we are pro-Israel.. I'm not seeing it.. matter of fact, if Kerry and Obama attack Syria, it will put Israel in danger.

They should make a stand and oppose Assad, but there's no need to bomb anyone.. until Israel makes a move.

A pro war Californian and a anti war Tennessean

I'll be damned...

Either way I think the details on all of this are suspicious at best. Seeing as our Government sent thousands of your peers off to die in Vietnam based on a lie. How can we be so sure that most of what we hear about Syria isn't also a lie. We have heard the 'get the WMD's and get out' pitch before.

Personally, I'd prefer to let all the crazy Syrians be and let the innocent ones who want out come to America.

My family

I come from a traditional military family. I don't think it's BS.. I think it's the writing on the wall, and I also think that it's not going to be easy for any American anywhere in the world, when this starts a new chapter.. adn Obama and Kerry can pat themelves and say they tried to stop it.. but I don't think so.. I think it's stage dressing and unfortunately, with the loves of those who are willing to fight for liberty of their land, sonce most Americasn don't own land, I guess a lot will try to head to Mexico and Canada.

I asked that same question months ago!

'The Granger' did not used to be so hateful, illogical, contrary, mocking and bitter. If you look at the early posts by 'The Granger' there is no 'dyslexia', very few, if any misspellings but then suddenly the posts are full of simple spelling errors/typos and what appears to be 'broken English.' When asked about it 'The Granger' claims dyslexia and that spell check does not work because of that, but that is a lie because it does correct most misspellings.

Also, there were several comments where 'she' referred to herself as 'the guy' or 'the man' but fluffed it off when asked about it. Check time stamps of posts and you see it is here 8-12 hours a day, every day- baiting others, bitter, hateful and insulting many posters here. I think something is very wrong. Perhaps the account has been hijacked? Best to block or ignore.

If Wars Can Be Started by Lies, They Can Be Stopped By Truth.

You've become such an Israel

You've become such an Israel obsessed neocon shill, that I doubt anyone bothers to read your posts any more. I just hit the down arrow and move on.

You're hopeless.

Do what you want

There's no need to insult me, because you can't see what I am saying and lable me a Neocon shill <- someone who is paid to represent Israel, that you hate, becaue the Jews are there.

There is no peace without love and understanding for Israel.

I can see what you are

I can see what you are saying, but I reject every word of it.

I don't hate Israel "because the Jews are there". I don't hate Israel at all. I imagine the same is true for most of your detractors.

The problem you have with me and others, is that we don't love Israel. And why ought we love a nation of foreigners? Why should we spend our money and blood on them?

Shame on most of you!

People who is his father again? He has to posture a bit on the forign policy a bit to win over the mainstream voters; I think a fillibuster on Syria even a short one, would help remind you guys.

Here we go again

Who his father is has nothing to do with his actions as a person. Can you please see Rand as an individual, and not as Ron's son?

“Although it was the middle of winter, I finally realized that, within me, summer was inextinguishable.” — Albert Camus

I think it would be redunant on Rand's part

He's made his mark.. why doesn't Cruz or Rubio, or McConnell.. be the perfect shot for McConnell.. why doesn't someone stand with Rand on their own for Rand to join their fillabuster?

Is Rand the only voice?

When Rand changes his veiws about the middle east

and stops supporting the agressors, I can begin to forget his huge betrayal.

Rand like most all the others shill for their masters over in the zio state.

No! It would neutralize the

No! It would neutralize the effect of the one he did earlier. too many too soon. This is not the answer to delay a vote.

No. Not right now. He's been

No. Not right now. He's been advocating for Congressional approval and it's a week away. If he filibusters a Senatorial vote on some sort of authorization for force, then he will be seen as impeding the very thing he has been arguing for. Obama is either using a Congressional vote as an OUT of this political mess, or he is banking on the war lobby getting Congress on board with him. There's no ace in the hole for Paul right now. If we were talking about more than "a few cruise missiles" then I'd probably say maybe. If/when we get into another war, if Paul is seen as being the last thing between peace and war and it turns out that the American people get sick of the war, then he will be remembered for standing up against it. The rhetoric on Syria is "just a little war" and if that actually holds true, a filibuster will blow up in Rand's face.

Yes, as long as

he doesn't play the partisan left vs right BS, and exposes the frauds that have taken us to all the wars in the past. He could use it as an educational purpose to quote all the Founders references to keeping a non-interventionists foreign policy, and how the only escalate later conflicts, rather than solve them. He could state that we need to promote friendly trading partners, but not allied to be the caretakers for those who do wrong to others, in other words, they must learn to 'reap what they sew'. He could make reference to our coup of Iran's democratic leader in the 50's, and how the instalation of the brutal dictator, the Shah, and then Khomeni, has lead to their hatred of America causing conflicts. Like I stated, if he uses it to espose the downright failures of interventionism, and not play politics, I'm for it.

I wouldn't mind Rand doing it, but he'd better not disappoint

I wouldn't mind Rand doing it, but then he'd better not disappoint.

I trust him he could literally, rhetorically DESTROY, all the warmongers fallacies, if he is in good shape enough and really wants to.

I would love him to basically make the point that :

per the spirit and the letter of the Constitution, the only righteous wars for the people to fight are the wars of self-defense in response to unquestionable, blatant attacks, and reckoned, and declared as such by Congress.

Where the government CAN EXPECT the people TO FIGHT IT BACK.

LIKE THIS ONE... yet to come :

yes and the purpose would be

To force the big media to cover an alternative narrative, namely that the Obama admin is an untrustworthy band of tyrants that are symbols of an American Oligarchy gone bad.

Yes. I know there is little

Yes. I know there is little chance of it working, but this is an issue where the American people are largely on the side of the anti-war folks. One must take a stand....

Only because it would not work. Lose-lose.

Probably a filibuster would be over-ridden anyway.

Fearless Leader has said he is not really bound by congress. If the measure were to be fillied successfully, that would probably be enough "mandate" for His Loftiness.

The best idea is to vote the measure down, or try to.

He could go a long way

toward winning back some degree of my respect if he did so. Would I support him in doing so? Absolutely!!!!

you only stand by your beliefs if it is in your mind beneficial to israel? You need to get rid of your stand with rand signature. You just kiss the gop's a$$ and israel's a$$. You are no more pro liberty than I am a rocket scientist. You are a bigot and a phoney. I really am starting to believe you are a paid shill.

I thought you were a delegate for Ron Paul. Were you against the Iraq War or just like Ron Paul's stance on taxes, bailouts, civil libeties and the Fed?

Are you playing devils advocate?

Or serious?

She is being serious.

She likes Rand for his deviations from a consistent pro-liberty position, not for his adherence to a principled pro-liberty stance. Thus, the seeming contradiction in her comment: "Stand with Rand" (except where he upholds liberty)
