Has Hillary Clinton said anything on Syria? I think having her opinion at this point in time would be fun later on.

edit: She has. So good.

She's a "Yes"

"Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today endorsed President Obama's plan for limited U.S. military action in Syria."

"Clinton, who supported a more aggressive U.S. approach to Syria during her tenure as secretary, adds influence to the administration's so-called "flood the zone" strategy to lobby members of Congress."

"It’s not pessimistic, brother, because this is the blues. We are blues people. The blues aren’t pessimistic. We’re prisoners of hope but we tell the truth and the truth is dark. That’s different." ~CW

My guess is she isn't being

My guess is she isn't being forced to, if she was still secretary of state she would be in Kerry's position spouting off the exact same crap he is.

But instead she is going to see how unpopular the going to war with syria is and when time comes around act like she was always against it trying to curry the most votes. Even though every time she has had a vote she voted for war.

But yes it would be nice if someone could corner her now and get her on record of support for it, or if she doesn't it will help kill the effort quicker. Both good options in my opinion.

Why do we hear

nothing from the democrats town hall meetings?

The democrats are being asked

The democrats are being asked by their party leaders to produce a strong majority vote on a position that right now is extremely unpopular.

Furthermore, the primary argument their leaders are offering right as a basis for war is entirely fallacious:

Right now it seems there is a good chance that more and more democrats will go against their party leaders and vote NO on military intervention... without a supermajority from the democrats in the house it is looking like getting a resolution on military intervention will be very difficult.

Currently my favorite

Currently my favorite congressman, one of the very few I have respect for. Would gladly take him over mine who is steve stivers, won't say he is the worst congressman probably middle of the pack, but with my disdain for the majority of them that is not saying much.

Amash is my congressman

Big bump for Grand Rapids and Justin Amash! He stopped by my house in 2007 to ask us if he could put up his yard sign when he saw our Ron Paul signs.

I'm sad to say represents the district that I live in.
I have sent upton this clip also other email that expresses
NO aggression toward the people of Syria.

It's sick what people will do for money!!!

I honestly cant believe this coverage

was the next segment completely about how the first segment was BS? Did they follow it up with a segment that said people against war are stupid?

I have to tip my hat to Brian Williams.....thanx for this coverage.

Nice to see some media outlet not wanting carrying water for the president to help us get into this unnecessary conflict.

I kept waiting for them to pull the rug out during the segment. But they actually didn't

Did you guys catch what the

Did you guys catch what the pastor said?

Commander. In chief.

Does anyone know how this description about the president came about -- when, why, how, who gave it?

I understand what this description conveys, that the president can override the military general in broad commands such as sending in or withdrawing troops. Maybe he can even delve past such commands into details, I don't know. But from what history has shown, I think, is that when this phrase is said it always is said in offense, not in defense. Sad, very sad.

And so sad a pastor -- a pastor, a man who's supposed to be committed to upholding life -- said that phrase as if it was automatic, having it roll right off his tongue.

Said the pastor: "I can't imagine our (read: my) commander (read: master)...asking to [be offensive] if it weren't going to be effective."

Effective. In what way or ways?

What a slave.

That so called "pastor" is a 501c3 tool of the government.

It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people that pay no price for being wrong.

Nothing bad to say about Amash, because I am a fan!

But that mainstream media report by NBC seems like was edited and put together by early-elementary students: disjointed, sloppy edits, not concise. I blame NBC. But hey, what else would you expect from the msm?

Do you have evidence? Yes So

Do you have evidence?

So when will you release it?
We'll make it known by congress 1 minute before they vote

I think that you meant

1 minute after the vote.

MSM doesn't usually seek to

MSM doesn't usually seek to report on the view of the people concerned about issues like war. They usually just tell us how it's going to be. Perhaps the 91% drudge poll was the problem.

More than 660,000 anti-Syria attack. ~60,000 pro-Syria attack.

I think Amash is more suited for House Speakership

Than President.

He could be a Liberty Policy Heavyweight holding the Speakership for 18 years, rather than going through the ringer, possibly losing his House Seat, just for the chance at 4 to 8 years as President. I feel the same way about Ted Cruz, he's a total creature of the senate, not the Executive.

There is no greater team to restore the Constitution than:

President Rand Paul(2017-2025) setting national policy

Speaker Justin Amash(2015-2033) choosing and setting the language of bills and schedule of votes.,

with Senate Majority Leader Ted Cruz(2019-2037) selecting and de-selecting Comittee Chairs.

"First rule of Government Spending: Why build one when you can have 2 at twice the price?"
-S.R. Hadden

Is he even eligible for President with a Syrian mother?

If he follows the Constitution, the answer would be no. Just as Ted Cruz would have to be no also. Therefore, your scenario makes the most sense in We The People's Constitutional Republic.

His parents immigrated to

His parents immigrated to America 20 years before he was born, but I have not found anything saying rather they were naturalized or not before he was born. If so there would be no doubt that he is a Natural Born Citizen as he was born in Grand Rapids Michigan, and would have two Citizen parents. His father was palestinian and mother syrian at one time, but doesn't mean they were not citizens at the time of Justin Amash's birth.

Here's a Hardball clip tonight

From the other side of the aisle. He calls out AIPAC. He calls out the Neo-cons.

His guest, Congressman Rush Holt (D)(New Jersey) states he is also skeptical and is leaning no.

Matthews goes on to pepper former Press Secretary Robert Gibbs with awkward questions about the proposed action in Syria.

It is amazing to see Drudge's authoritarian vs. libertarian statement be fully realized. There is a total schism in leadership with Pelosi, Boehner and Reid. McConnell in the senate is the only leader who will not lay down for Obama, to McConnell's credit. (So far at least)

Bravo Amash

"If they go against the will of the American people to this extent, there will serious repercussions." I sure f-in hope so.

I couldn't up vote your comment enough.

Amash's mom is from Syria

Did anyone else catch that in the video?

I have read in the past that

I have read in the past that he is a Palestinian American.

All Congressman/woman Should Be Holding Townhall meetings if

they want to represent the people in their district like Justin Amash is doing. I haven't heard anything about how my congressman will be voting so I will be contacting his office to let him know that I do not support us getting involved with Syria and I hope he will see fit to vote "NO." Yes, I will be watching and if he votes "YES" than I will be looking to replace him the next election.

I called my new congressman

Duncan D. Hunter at his local office and was able to speak to staff. Because of redistricting, he replaced Issa. Hunter is leaning No wanting to know the plan or the end game. Hint: he voted against Amash on the NSA amendment. I let his guy know that I was not happy with Hunter holding only one town hall meeting in our district of approx. 650,000 people.

You gave me an idea, I think I will suggest to my Congressman

that he hold townhall meetings if he really wants to know how the people in his district feel about getting involved with Syria. Thank you for your comment and good for you that you called to voice your opinion to your Congressman's office. Together we can and are making a difference, one by one. ( :

Best video of the year

In my opinion, this is the best Liberty news video of the year.

Justin Amash is doing such a fine job of representing the people

of his district! He is an example of what a congressman should be!
