Why Are We At Defcon 5?

Nukes in South Carolina, Russian and Chinese warships in the Middle East, The Brits throwing Obama under the bus, Iran ready to lob bombs at Israel, Russia's nuclear warnings and Syria a THREAT to our national defense. And then we have McCain, Graham, Kerry and the rest of the warmongers spewing war propaganda. Who's falling asleep at the switch? Move us to Defcon 4 or lower please so I can feel more secure. We need more fear mongering. Thanks in advance.

We are at DEFCON 5 because there is no threat to our defense

We are at DEFCON 5 because there is no threat to our defense. We're the ones readying to aggressively attack another sovereign state. Therefore, Confidence is high.

What we need is an OFFCON listing for Offensive Confidence. We'd be at OFFCON 2 right now, readying for a swift, brutal blitzkrieg, but just not quite there yet.

These Madmen Must be Stopped

There IS a MAJOR point of considertion here that must not be

And that is "Is the President of the United States truly a head of state limited by the Constitution and directed by the will of the people? Or is he a dictator who can do pretty much anything he wants?"

THAT is a HUGE issue and one that needs to be addressed. And this is the turning point (if indeed we do turn).

In the eyes of the Establishment, DEFCON 5.

To the People, DEFCON 1.

Yep. Defcon 5 is the lowest

Yep. Defcon 5 is the lowest warning there is. Obviously the globalists have everything under control.

Who's falling asleep at the switch?

Our generation. We are the generation with the tecnology to know the honest truth about the value destroyers bringing us into severe survival presure.

We are the generation with the tecnology to know the honest truth about the solutions needed if we are to survive the anti-civilizations collapse and conciously evolve towards increasing peace and prosperity.

Value creators must evolve to outcompete, expose, stop and obsolete the value destruction.

We have the power of conciousness. We have the responsibility. I have the responsibility. You have the responsibility.

We no longer have the option to remain asleep at the switch.

The creation, production and fair exchange of values is the business of evolving consciousness, love and life.--Craig Johnson

Because there's really no risk to our nat security.

That's why.

With regards to Syria, Obama is merely expressing and exercising his emergency powers.

There is no nat security crisis.

Legally speaking, Obama can assert that a declared emergency is equivalent to a nat security issue, even if it's not.

Congress granted the executive that prerogative.

As The Old Chinese Curse Goes....

.... May you live in interesting times. In connection with this, it just occurred to me that the pace of events unfolding, which in the extreme could easily lead us into a game of nuclear chicken, strikes me as Deja Vu all over again visa vis the Cuban Missile crisis..... except in reverse.

There is no such Chinese "curse"

It's a cute quote, but completely false... just like the 'frog in a boiling pot of water' story. False.

""May you live in interesting times", often referred to as the Chinese curse, is the purported translation of an ancient Chinese proverb and curse. However, no Chinese source has ever been found."

Yeah, I don't know of anyone who tries to boil frogs.

We even have a "Frog Festival" and a "Frog Queen" down here and I don't think I've ever heard of anyone using boiling as a method of cooking them. (boiling just about anything is considered quite bland here)

The proper way to cook a frog, the only good part for eating that is, is to remove the legs (after you kill it) and then batter and fry them.(the legs) I've seen some people grill and bbq them, even smoke them. But I've never heard of or eaten boiled frog before. (yes, I've had frog legs in, and used them myself in a gumbo and a sauce picquant, but never just 'boiled' and certainly not boiled alive)

We do boil crawfish alive though. But they can't jump. And the proper way to do it is straight into a very hot giant pot of boiling water - no slow cooking needed.

Who cares if it's not a "real" curse....

we all understand the meaning, and it conveys a clear message.
Same for the boiling frogs metaphor.

No reason to get all "Type A" over it.

Because it's a lazy attempt

Because it's a lazy attempt to win an argument using phony quotations.

Even if you only want to discuss philosophy instead of win a valid argument, some facts should apply.

Fair Enough...

My bad as the kids say. Sorry if I offended you. My point though was that what's happening now seems like the Cuban Missile crisis in reverse.
