Obama hints he may abandon Syria strike

President Barack Obama hinted Friday that he might not strike Syria if Congress rejects his authorization request.

“I’m not itching for military action… and if there are good ideas that are worth pursuing, then I’m going to be open to them,” he told one reporter who asked if he was seeking alternatives to a missile strike.

“Are we on a fast track to military action as soon as Congress renders its judgment one way or the other?” the reporter asked Obama, during his morning press conference in St. Petersburg, Russia.

We wouldn't be able to defend

To the moron below who said we wouldn't be able to defend ourselves.

We wouldn't be able to defend ourselves? Sorry, but you sir are an idiot. We spend a trillion dollars a year on our worldwide military adventurism, more than the rest of the world combined. China has ONE aircraft carrier! LOL

We would have to put 75k boots on the ground just to have regime change in Syria. America is 330m of the most heavily armed people on the planet. As a Japanese general once famously said, "invading America would be.impossible. There would be a gun or rifle behind every blade of grass."

We can instantly bomb any country right back to the stone age without any nukes or putting a single boot on the ground. So for you to say we couldn't defend ourselves is just flat out laughable and means you're either an idiot, a shill, or most likely, BOTH. Take your disinformation nonsense and go sell it to the other idiots at MSNBC, Fox, and HuffPoo where you are sure you are sure to fit in perfectly.

Not buying it.

So now we're taking Obama at his word? As if. I don't believe the lying bastard for a second.

"I'm"...

So if I can't bomb 'em, I'll look at alternate means?.

“As I said last night, I was elected to end wars, not start them,” he said. “I’ve spent the last four and a half years doing everything I can to reduce our reliance on military power as a means of meeting our international obligations and protecting the American people.”

What he said was

He has not been putting money into the military, our defense is greatly reduced.. so if we were attacked, it would be pretty hard for the military to defend Americans, that not their training anyways.

Did your mother have any

Did your mother have any children that weren't born brain dead?
