Whatever Happened To Iraq and Afghanistan?Submitted by zooamerica on Fri, 09/06/2013 - 21:07
Did those wars just magically disappear?
We don't hear much about what's going on in those countries at the moment, mainly because Syria is dominating the headlines.
Wars? What wars?
American troops are still fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Not sure about Libya but wouldn't be surprised if the US military is operating on Libyan soil too.
Bin Laden is dead...has been for a while. But war wages on in Afghanistan.
Hussein is dead, but war still wages on in Iraq.
Is Syria nothing but a smokescreen to make everyone forget about the wars the US government launched over 10 years ago and are still being fought today?
Just think...if Congress votes no, and Obama abides and does not strike Syria, many people will be happy and go back to sleep...and then Obama and the democrats can play it off like, "We listened to the American people about starting another war, unlike president Bush."
"We need to focus our mission on the wars he launched."
Meanwhile, the wars continue unabated. It's the perfect excuse.
What's Syria really all about?
Maybe it's all about buying more time in Iraq and Afghanistan, making the president look, "tough on terror." Proclaiming Obama as a, "man who listens to the people," as they continue the wars people are starting to forget about.
We are already at war.
