As liberty becomes more popular, why is the Daily Paul becoming more fringe?

I'd ask you all to do some self reflection about what you have been posting here. Is it factual? or just theory? Does it help promote liberty? or distract from it? I ask this because as liberty gets more and more popular, the Daily Paul gets more and more fringe?

The common citizen is finding out the danger of big government simply by looking at their paycheck, the price of their groceries, and the abundance of war propaganda. They aren't turning to our side because you came up with a theory about the Rothschilds, or 9/11. They are turning to our side because the world around them isn't working and its easy to see how government intervention in every aspect of our lives is the culprit. Meanwhile, you guys are on the side lines discussing "crisis actors" and the illuminati. You are literally missing out on the revolution we've been striving for because you are busy with your own conspiracy revolution.

Again I ask you to reflect on what you've been posting, and more importantly what good, or lack there of it has been doing for this revolution. The people are ready for the ideas of free markets and smaller governments. They don't need unsupported theories about secret societies. They need knowledge about how capitalism works. I propose we give them that knowledge.

Very well reasoned and well explained.

And I agree with your assessment.

The DP has not become "more fringe".

It has remained the same.

No better. No worse.

God Bless.

The Daily Paul was born in the fringe

People forget that in January of 2007, Ron Paul was just about as "fringe" as you could get. And depending on who is doing the defining, Ron Paul is still fringe.

We've all got our own reality bubbles that we attempt to project onto the world.

The poster speaks of economics education. In economics, as in life, the most interesting developments take place at the margins, also known as "the fringe."

We all have our roles, including the amalgamation known as the Daily Paul, and each individual contributor, including snakepit22.

He's the man.

No better. No worse.

Status Quo.

The fringe of 2007 is now relevent today.

If the DP wishes to remain on the fringe and discuss the things that will be relevent tomorrow, by definition, it has to change because the world is changing and progressing around it.

God Bless.

Ron Paul

suggested Syria sounds like a false flag...is that fringe?

Not in the slightest.

I'd agree that it seems highly unlikely that Assad is simply trying to get us to bomb him by using chemicals rather than traditional weapons.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

...and yet small minded

...and yet small minded simpletons once thought the term 'false flag' was conspiracy theory.

Enjoy the DP as is or kindly F'off. mmk? thanks.
Yours isn't the first post like this. All previous posts of this sort were received with equal hostility. We don't like being told what we can believe here.

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

Nobody is telling you what to believe.

I'm simply telling you that you're wrong.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

I really want to thank you for standing up for what you believe here and fully exposing yourself.

Given what is going on in the world, and the intellect you are dealing with here on DP, I admire your Chutzpah.

Ron Paul

has been called fringe. Is this the fringe to which you refer?

I stand

Duly Noted and appreciated.

The good Dr. has Fathered this Fringe movement for a long time.

I'm glad to see so many proudly carrying on the flag of truth.

He seems pretty happy as well.

God Bless

You are correct...

God Bless all those who stand in defense of a free nation, a republican form of government and the golden rule.

Thank you, Dr. Paul.

I agree we need to

I agree we need to communicate much better about how capitalism works. There is a huge misunderstanding out there, even among DP members. The simplest explanation in my mind just has to do with how new wealth is created every time there is a voluntary transaction because both sides benefit and their lives therefore improve, and how all of human history has involved trade, and why people trade.

Then everything that detracts from capitalism begins to look suspect, and people will look into why such things have come about and get to discover things on their own.

The reason there is a desperate attempt by a small group of people to post endless threads on conspiracies is because they are trying to become as fringe as possible to keep out all the new people from their group who are waking up. Outrageous statements, even if they are true, do not wake people up. It's mundane things that we thought everyone already knew, like the government spying on all citizens with massive surveillance programs, that gets people to pay attention.

Right on

But as a relative newcomer it looks to me like the DP has been getting better - less conspiratorial in 2013 and thankfully more anti-Obama.

Whether you call it "fringe" or "mainstream"

The truth is what matters...

The wealthiest and most influential bankers and corporate leaders are working together to build a global fascist super-state. This isn't a "theory" it's a fact.

Discussing mainstream talking-points won't help the cause of liberty, it will only help perpetuate the false L v R paradigm the current PTB use to further erode your rights and limit your choices.

At their inceptions, the #Liberty, #OccupyWallStreet and #TeaParty movements all had the same basic goal... What happened?

I wanted to answer this Topic. Your answer is my answer, in other words.

I can add that Federalism from The Federalists was the Mainstream of those days gone by, just before the Fraud of The Constitution was enforced by those same false propagandists, those despots.

The lies told constitute the song of the siren as warned by our true founding fathers.

"Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it."

Anit-Federalism (A false label itself) was the "Fringe" in those days, according to "Mainstream" in those days.

It is a false division created by false people and parroted by victims and liars alike.

If it is inculpatory evidence proving the fact of fraud and other crimes, so say the false propagandists, it is fringe, and if it hides the inculpatory evidence, so say the false propagandists, it is mainstream, authoritative, and fit for public consumption.

The 911 lies, for example, fit very well into this theatrical play with collective opinion, agreed to by some, and most certainly rejected by others.

Ron Paul knew the nature of the power struggle during the Election Psycho, so his failure to acknowledge the simple, known, facts (such as buildings accelerating at the rate of gravity) would be seized upon by the liars and used as false propaganda because too many people are still stupefied by those lies.

It is always a numbers game, simple math, in this animated contest of freedom. Count me in as one who does not buy this charade of falsely categorizing human beings who command sound moral judgement as being the fringe.

You can have it, if it works for you.

Example 2:

From the day on which an accommodation takes place between England and America, on any other terms than as independent States, I shall date the ruin of this country. a politic minister will study to lull us into security by granting us the full extent of our petitions. The warm sunshine of influence would melt down the virtue which the violence of the storm rendered more firm and unyielding. In a state of tranquillity, wealth, and luxury, our descendants would forget the arts of war and the noble activity and zeal which made their ancestors invincible. Every art of corruption would be employed to loosen the bond of union which renders our resistance formidable. When the spirit of liberty, which now animates our hearts and gives success to our arms, is extinct, our numbers will accelerate our ruin and render us easier victims to tyranny. Ye abandoned minions of an infatuated ministry, if peradventure any should yet remain among us, remember that a Warren and Montgomery are numbered among the dead. Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, What should be the reward of such sacrifices? Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship, and plow, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom--go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!

You can have your un-fringe, mainstream, lies. The power of lies vanishes the moment a potential victim knows better.

The world we live in operates

The world we live in operates in reality much closer to the fringe than it does to the fairy tales we've all been told for years.

GEORGE WASHINGTON wrote about the Illuminati:

So how does a nearly 300 year old writing prove that this group has any influence in anything in the modern day?

Economics IS key, but 'fringe' is inflammatory

Once you begin to understand the economics, you inevitably figure out an important truth, that the purpose of the government is to lie to you.

There is no other reason for it to exist. If something is true, it doesn't need government support, or as Jefferson put it:

"It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself."

This understanding is a result of understanding political economy, and economics. If it didn't lie to you, it wouldn't be a government. Firms can lie and not be government, but if it's a government it lies. The state is a monopoly and monopolies exact their rent via force or fraud. It must either lie to you, or, if you stop believing the lies, it must use guns. This is the very real risk we face now, but back to the point..

Is it possible the government is telling the truth about some particular thing? Yes, but only if it cannot get away with lying anymore, or else the truth serves a greater deception.

Once you realize it is not only possible that the government lies, it's inherent to government to lie, then discussing the nature and intention of particular lies is as natural as breathing.

I am very pro-capitalism. But if you don't appreciate why people just figuring this stuff out are upset to realize the extent of the matrix they have been in, perhaps it's you who hasn't figured everything out yet.

Perhaps you still harbor a superstition that government can tell the truth. If this is the case I suggest you haven't understood the lessons yet.

"It was not my intention to

"It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am." — George Washington 1798

You, Sir, are dismissed. Go play in the freeway.

Since Doc Paul talks about all the same "fringe" stuff....

Since Doc Paul talks about all the same "fringe" stuff, i think most of it fits the DP.

maybe I wasn't clear enough...

Sandy Hook
Those are the types of "fringe" conspiracies I'm talking about. I doubt the good doctor is spending a lot of time on these.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

these "fringe" conspiracies

Of which you typed above, are all of them false?
Do all of them lead to the conclusion, that there are no truth
to back up anyone's claims?
Can you, yourself, back up the claims and debunk any one of them?
Why would RP feel the need to be personally involved in any of them?
does he not have enough to do,and enough on his plate?

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

just because you're not paying attention....

Do you not believe in research?

Are you one of those people who just takes what the talking-heads spout and consider it gospel?

all of these "fringe" topics merit SERIOUS research and discussion.

I implore you to open your eyes and do some reading.

At their inceptions, the #Liberty, #OccupyWallStreet and #TeaParty movements all had the same basic goal... What happened?

Done a ton.

And most of these conspiracies just don't meet a moderate standard of proof. I do spend a considerable time on these conspiracies because if any of them are true, they are important. However they just typically end up not having any evidence to support them. I spent a decent hour last night debating and reading sources for the theory that the Rothschilds own the Federal Reserve. I gave the conspiracy enough respect to actually look at the evidence presented to me, and provide evidence to counter it. I spend tons of time on this stuff. It is just rare that any of these theories end up being provable.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Ssssso, if you were never exposed to a conspiracy theory

how could you research it, either to prove or disprove it? eh, Ssssnaky boy?

There is a difference..

...between a conspiracy theory and a conspiracy. My complaint isn't because people are objectively looking into these rumors. My complaint is that people are believing conspiracy theories with no hard evidence to support them. I guess to put it bluntly, I think people should have a higher standard for truth than what I'm seeing here.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).
