Adam Kokesh Released from Solitary Confinement but Still in a Cage

Liberty activist Adam Kokesh remains behind bars in a D.C. Jail, but has, after two months, been released from solitary confinement. Kokesh spokesman Jeffrey Phillips says the transfer happened this past weekend, with Kokesh moved to the general population of a lower level security wing of the jail.

Kokesh is now allowed to use the phone, a right he had been denied, but visitation remains questionable.

Very mixed about Mr Kokesh

Bottom line he is a political prisioner in a police state. No matter the judgement about if what Adam did was a good idea, as his individual rights have been violated by the so called government and their employee police so will my rights when the time comes.

I will see how this changes (if) it changes his future actions. I know that after my first experience with being put into a cage (1 hour for spouting off to a cop many years ago) it changed my outlooks and my ideas about how to approach these blankety blanks. Just put any term you like in the blanks.

Thank you Rob - another update here, with court dates.

Epictetus- field manual for soilders

The essence of good and evil lies in an attitude of the will. There are things within your power, and there are things which are beyond your power. Within your power are opinion, aim, desire, aversion; in a word, whatever affairs are your own. Beyond your power are body, property, reputation, office; in a word, affairs not properly your own. Concern yourself with what is within your power.

The essence of good consists of things within your own power; with them there is no room for envy or emulation. For your part, do not desire to be a general, or a senator or a consul, but to be free; and the only way to do this is a disregard of things which do not lie within your own power.

Still not sure why he did it,

I thought you sent him a foot long sub, with saw inside. lol

According to the website

Adam can only get brand new books shipped from Amazaon and other retailers.

Not to burst your bubble, but I don't think they allow the inmates to get books that aren't from retailer stores, never mind videos. It's a good video, though. Good work

That was cool as heck; thanks for sharing it with us and I bet Adam will love it.

Needs to stop at the Prison on 911 and demand his release!

I have been

contacting Uncle Sams Misguided Children on Facebook to see if they can garner up some donations for a legal fund for Adam. Not sure if they took a look at it or not. But that would be a great idea!!!!

Thank god.

HuffPost got one right

I went looking for other articles on this with no luck. I did find a HuffPost article about the police state. It used the arrest of Adam as an example and linked a fair Reason.com article on the arrest.

"Or look at the the massive, violent police raid on the home of gun rights activists and anarchist rabble rouser Adam Kokesh earlier this year." (they have a plural typo in there)

Most comments sound similar to those you'd see here or at infowars. Only one person mentioned Reagan as the problem, that's got to be a new HuffPost comment thread record.

Looks like the "far right" and "far left" agree: Totalitarian response to protesters is bologna.

I stand up for Jill's right to criticize my brother in liberty..

But I am in full support of Adams peaceful protest. Adam has helped to expose just how tyrannical our gov. is. We need people to keep testing this monster so they can see it for what it is becoming and apparently what it has become.

What criticism?

That was an insult, right?

It was a question,

A non-violent activist performing civil disobedience,

does he deserve to be publicly insulted?

Thank god somebody comes along once in a while that is willing to do such foolish things as drinking the hemlock.

Kokesh is as Kokesh does.

We each differ in our beliefs and choices of actions, but our desires for freedom and peace unite us. Our collective diversity in this movement provides vast strength and seemingly impenetrable resilience.

The show must go on. Spread tolerance.

If a man racks a shotgun for 2 seconds and then leaves, and no one was around to see it....was it really civil disobedience?

A man

challenging the legitimacy of a law which the Supreme Court deemed unconstitutional, sure seems like a case of civil disobedience to me.

Why not challenge it doing

Why not challenge it doing his "journalism" out on the public street during normal hours? With people around to witness it.
