GMO Crops Torched in America

Though the controlled corporate media apparatus is suppressing the story, 40 tons of GMO crops were torched, prompting an FBI investigation. There has been a COMPLETE MEDIA BLACKOUT, outside of local circles has dared to mention it, perhaps because government fears that if the public learns that other people are getting fighting mad (literally), they might join in, and become an actual revolution. It was only reported locally live on KXL Radio and echoed by the Oregonian, where the ONLY web mention exists, hard to find because the headline wording is carefully avoids the most likely keywords for a search.

Here’s what happened — 40 Tons of GMO Sugar Beets were set ablaze in Eastern Oregon, yesterday. FORTY TONS — the entire acreage of two full fields of crops IN THE GROUND were set ablaze over a THREE NIGHT PERIOD OF TIME. That means ARSON.

This happened a few months ago.

It was widely reported in the local papers and radio. Don't know about local TV. Was little reported in eastern Oregon because Jackson County is in western Oregon. Always surprised when the Oregonian, out of Portland, 300 miles away, reports anything outside Multnomah County. Same for KXL, also out of Portland.

I won't comment on any motivations by the perps, or the relative merits of GMO plants. It is simply something I have little interest in.

Another argument could be made

Everyone speaks about respect toward others and their property. What about the farmers who grow non-gmo products. Their livelihoods are at risk because if monsanto's crop trespasses onto a non-gmo farmer's land, they are sued for patent infringement.

Legal and social measures have been taken. No solution is working and will not work under the power hungry corporations such as Monsanto. Farmers across the world, such as india, are suffering from Monsanto. Some are beginning to say no more, as we have seen in Europe.

These gmo-farmers should realize the potential harm for non-gmo farmers that might be intimidated and sued. The principled thing to do when you see wrongdoing to others is not to put up with it. I know it's a tough decision, but the best decisions aren't always the easiest. I think you should think of others before you sell your soul to make a living because you may have as well sold your neighbor's, a non-gmo farmer, soul as well.

Monsanto IS eugenics

Dissolve this evil incorporation.

Calling all farmers : burn your GMO fields to the ground
... haul off the contamination
... reject all pesticides
... go back to rotation and fallow
... renew your soil with kelp

I plowed a field that had nothing planted for years

I planted lots of sweet corn and other vegetables, using no pesticides or commercial fertilizer. The sweet corn got 8 foot tall and had ears between 12" and 14" long and fully filled out. This is in spite of my tiller breaking down and weeds taking over.

My garden is living proof that you can raise better crops organically than the chemical way. The way I fertilized would cost only pennies to fertilize an acre of land.

BTW if anyone whats to heal their land from chemical contamination this method will remove it in 1 year and will reclaim all the wasted nitrogen locked in the soil.

I'm interested to know more

about your techniques.

You must get ready now for 2014 planting season

First off start a compost pile, add all your kitchen scraps except meat products. You can use weeds that were puled from the garden or where ever. You can shred cardboard to add to the pile, and dried leaves are good also. You need about 25% brown matter to green matter. If you can find a horse stables, you can usually get some free horse manure.

Next if you feel organic buy some red wiggler manure worms and start a worm bin. They do very well in a plastic tote and will eat all your organic garbage.

In the spring you need to setup a barrel or bucket with an air bubbler system. I bought an aquarium aerator from Walmart, if your using a barrel get one that works on 50 gallon aquariums.

Basically you take the compost from your pile that is completely broken down, put it in the bucket. You'll need about 5 lbs of compost. If you started the worm bin add in about a 1/2 lb of worm castings. Then fill the bucket up with dechlorinated water, rain water is best. Then add about 2 tablespoons full of Molasses. Turn on the aerator for 2 to 3 days you should get a foaming action on top of the water. This is good because you are now growing billions of beneficial bacteria that your soil needs to interact with the plants and make them flourish.

This worm and compost tea can be diluted 1 to 1 with water and sprinkled on the plants and soil. This will cure all kinds of plant diseases like tomato blight.

DR. Elaine Ingham has perfected this process and she explains more than I can. She has out produced every GMO chemical farmer with no fertilizers!

This is domestic terrorism against American farmers.

You want to take down GMO's with destructive acts? Grow some balls and take out a Monsanto seed storage facility. Reducing the blood, sweat, and tears of a farmer and his family who barely makes a living as it is to ashes? Throw yourself into the flames if you think you are helping the cause.

Here's an idea for you geniuses: contact your local farmers and let them know they have an incentive in the marketplace to go non-GMO. Let them know they will have your support and the support of others in the community - and don't just say you will - actually DO IT. As a farmer (non GMO), I know enough farmers who have unfortunately chosen to go GMO, mainly because there isn't a market incentive not to...and at the end of the day, THEY HAVE MOUTHS TO FEED. They are just as much victims of this ass-backwards corrupt food production scheme as you are!

***THIS KIND OF FOOLISHNESS IS THE EPITOME OF HACKING AT THE BRANCHES WHEN YOU SHOULD BE STRIKING AT THE ROOT!***

Sorry for the rant, but this sh-t infuriates me. It's detrimental to the anti-GMO movement, it's detrimental to hard working American farmers, and anyone who supports this and think they aren't violating non-aggression principles can come try an mess with the livelihood of this family farmer - they won't like the results.

Totally agree.

It's somewhat like anti-war people in the 60s spitting on returned soldiers, calling them baby killers, etc. IMO ....

What would the Founders do?

Your defending the use of GMO's on the American people

I wonder how many people wakeup in the morning and tell themselves I am going to eat some GMO food today. It will nourish my body better than organic.

FYI the baby killers are the chemical companies! Why are food allergies in an almost epidemic situation? Could it be that the USDA says we must have all baby formula made from GMO's. Unlike the soldiers they should be spit on like the scum they are!

The GMO seeds are patented and protected from anyone replanting them clearly labeled. But then there is the crop produced from the seeds, they want them hidden behind the organic foods. Every company is proud of their product produced, Apple for instance! Why aren't the big Ag companies proud of their product? Also why did Congress pass the Monsatan Protection Act? Could it be when the real reasons behind GMO's get out the people might want them all in jail?

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

Where in my brief reponse do I declare my defense of

GMO s h i t-stuffs? Answer: nowhere.

I have worked for adamant non-GMO farmers and am plenty familiar with the issue and the crimes perpetrated, and I have railed against Monsanto and others, dissed Clarence Thomas and called for his head, etc. etc. etc.

The answer insofar as destructive resistance is this (or something akin to it), as stated above: "take out a Monsanto seed storage facility"; NOT going after farmers cornered into the scheme. Americans already pity farmers (Remember Farm Aid?). Slash and burn ops on their farms (more easily spun as crimes against individual farmers / domestic terrorism by MSM) will not allies make.

Things take time, and people must be educated. Bolder actions may be necessary, however (This is true.), but if they are so deemed, then let them be aimed right at the head of the beast.

Questions?

What would the Founders do?

Not if they've been sufficiently informed

Do you really think that one person is going to convince a ton of farmers there is financial incentive to go against the norm of farming when farmers, seed sales, county extensions and 'conventional' wisdom says the opposite?

Do you really think that torching a seed storage facility will make any news? They'd probably hit the fire department with gag orders so that didn't get out.

http://youtu.be/Pn0WdJx-Wkw

So your solution to

So your solution to convincing farmers to abandon conventional farming practices is to destroy their private property? To terrorize them and their families into converting? If there is a market incentive to go non-GMO, farmers will follow suit. If you think farmers don't account for financial incentives, you are oblivious.

Not my solution...

A bunch (yes, a large bunch per the article) of local people, locally involved in their own local situation came up with their own local solution. I said to "let them". We don't know fact one about their local debate or what may have happened earlier so we shouldn't try to police their actions. Sound familiar (Syria) ?

When this happens once, it will wake up some. If that doesn't change the game enough, it may happen again and so on, and so on. This is how stuff changes.

But I WILL bet that every local farmer around the torched one knows more about GMOs today than they did prior.

And lastly, do you really want to hang your entire fight on incentivizing farmers financially to change their minds? You have heard of propaganda and undercutting and other shady corporate pricing schemes, right?

My personal solution would be to create an online catalog of all products (filled by crowdsourcing) and label them GMO or not. Then push out an app that makes it almost convenient to shop organically instead of blind. But I'm wondering if that's too aggressively free market for you.

I like your idea! Consider

I like your idea! Consider though, by implementing your idea into the marketplace an making organic/non-GMO products more easily available, you'd increase sales in that market sector, this providing a financial incentive to the farmer to transition toward organic...just one solution to many that would achieve what I've been talking about. :)

Very true - That's exactly what I was going for.

However, having submitted dozens and dozens of similar 'free market - grass roots' type ideas to the members of this "active" site with near zero interest, I tend to do them more out of sarcasm now than actual interest.

And since people don't seem to want to do anything free market that requires organizing a few people together, the next best thing is violence, right? After all, saying please hasn't been working so well.

The crops were owned by Syngenta

One of the chemical companies responsible for poisoning Americans with GMO garbage.

If the GMO crop was loaded with the Epicyte gene would that be okay to destroy it?

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

I don't think you understand.

I don't think you understand. Just because it's 'owned by Syngenta' doesn't mean it was some fat cat in a business suit slaving away tending to the crops.

Technically, Tyson owns the majority of the chicken houses in the area where I reside. Yet I personally know dozens of the chicken farmers who work day in and day out raising the chickens for pennies on the dollar. Does that mean if you have a problem with Tyson you should destroy the chicken houses and thus the livelihood of my hard working friends and their families?

The anger and disdain for GMO is totally justified - but it is undeniably being directed in the wrong places!

Isn't it ironic. The

Isn't it ironic. The president is debating, propagandizing, itching, to bomb a foreign country for the use of chemical weapon on their own people, but here at home targeting and initiating a military strike against the use of chemical weapons upon Americans is labeled as "cowardly".

Understand this

GMO will be used along with vaccines to exterminate the poor and middle class!

Bill Gates and the Rockefeller Foundation are funding this stuff.

There is no proof GMO's benefit anyone but the Chemical companies, and this is pure stupidity to give our food supply over to chemical companies.

"There is no proof GMO's benefit anyone but the Chemical companies, and this is pure stupidity to give our food supply over to chemical companies."

- Indeed. So burn down the crops of the farmers! That'll SURELY teach the chemical companies!

Don't you see how backwards this logic is? Hell, I bet the chemical companies LOVE the fact that these farmers are having their crops destroyed! They get twice the business in the crop season!

I never thought I'd see the day where members of DP promoted the use of force against their brothers and sisters. Today is the day.

The Boston Tea party started the American Revolution

All revolutions must start somewhere! Right now the farmer fears the chemical companies, maybe they need to fear the patriots more!

Thanks, this article is a nice find

It is great to get some local information on the heroic act.

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

heroic? It's cowardly and

heroic? It's cowardly and backwards that does absolutely NOTHING to help the cause.

So why is one farming industry given blessings to destroy

another part of farming.

I been as beekeeper for 40 years and never had problems with bee deaths before when there is 200 pounds of honey on the hive! Wake up your eating poison in those GMO burgers!

They want you and all your children dead!

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

I don't need a lecture on

I don't need a lecture on GMO..as I've said I am a non-GMO family farmer who's made the conscious effort to be that way because I too hate GMO.

As for the bees I am still not completely sure for the reasons for colony collapse but I suspect it is sourced in many things, not just the prevalence of GMO. I also rely on bees for my main crop production and their decline is/would be (I've actually seen more now than before) detrimental...yet the thought of destroying the livelihood of my neighbor in return never even crosses my mind.

Colony colapse disorder is a new problem since 2007

So I ask you what has changed throughout America all at once, and only in agriculture areas? There is no problem for beekeepers in the heavily wooded areas.

Could it be the new type of pesticides used, neonicotoids? This is only thing that has changed in agriculture in the past 10 years.

As I said, I believe it to be

As I said, I believe it to be a culprit among others.

Lets be clear about this

there is no other causes. I as a beekeeper have found my own organic solution to the mites and other problems. I cannot fight this one the bees are poisoned out of the hive were I have no control.

My bees were the first to die soon it will be your turn if your eating GMO's. do you feel lucky?
