MAMAF - Million American March Against Fear

I am confused and maybe someone could help me with the several questions I have about all the opposition to this event. It is being opposed by Christians, Jews, Catholics, Republicans, Patriots, Bikers and a whole slew of other organizations.

After reading some of the reasons they are marching and some of the organizations joining this event I am having trouble seeing the evil or wrong in it? It seems to be based on the things most all of us have been asking for years and have been fighting for ourselves.

Truth concerning 9-11, Justice, Civil Liberties, Ending the war on Terror, Drones, Transparency of Government, Imperialism, Agenda of Fear, Policy of Peace, and Etc. Is it just because of the event date? Should an event date for truth about 9-11 actually not be on 9-11? Is it just because they are Muslims? Do they not have a right to hate the same things we hate about current affairs? Are all these organizations Lying about their true issues?

Could some of you please find the time to enlighten me about how wrong this event truly is? Here is the statement from their site, Please note the organizations and issues discussed:

AMPAC National News: Washington DC, Feb 2013

Brothers and Sisters In The Struggle For Peace and Justice,

On September 11th, will you stand in peace with us?

Event: MAMAF - Million American March Against Fear on 9/11/13

We invite you to stand with and join us to Rally Against Fear at 12 noon on The National Mall, then the Congress, the Supreme Court, and the White House, to hold truth to power at the three major branches of American government.

We ask all individuals and organizations working for peace to attend this collective action to tell our Government leaders we want transparency and policies of peace. In the past 12 years since 9/11 the United States government as failed to protect and promote Constitutional liberties and human life, here and abroad. We feel that accountability in government has been ignored and the time has arrived to collectively speak truth to power.

Speaking will be experts and individuals on the lack of transparency and questions plaguing 9/11, steady erosion of domestic civil liberties, drone policy and the very dire effect of these on of plight of American Muslims here at home, and Muslim communities globally in the scope of U.S. imperialism, and the modern face of resistance to unmanned aerial surveillance and warfare.

Separation of Church and State

See, this is where a double standard is being used. The Constitution was designed to protect us from ANY faith affecting Courts and Law. Christians want more moral faith based laws imposed into law yet when a another faith asks for the very same thing a double standard is applied.

I wish all faiths would understand that the Separation of Church and State Powers is to protect everyone from things like Sharia Law being inposed into the court system. We cannot have our cake and eat it too, There has to be checks and balances even if it affects your own faith.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

I'm Sorry.

That is simply not true. The intention of the Constitution regarding religion was to prohibit establishment of a state religion. That's it. That's all there is to it.

The "separation of church and state" came from a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to some woman, Abagail Adams I think, although I'm spelling her name wrong.

There's a book out called "Free, Sovereign, and Independent States" that spells that whole thing out. Reread your Constitution. It's not in there.

There is nothing to be done about the personal beliefs held by an elected or appointed official except know what they are and vote accordingly. Their only job is to support and defend the Constitution, and they can totally do that without violating their faith and vice versa. As if they actually do their job...taxpayer funded abortion comes to mind. Great example of separation of church and state. Ron Paul said something about a free society being impossible without a moral people in his farewell speech.

I don't disagree

It's one reason I thought Ron Paul's, "Restore the Republic", campaign was great, because it implied to restore constitutional government. It's been at least a decade since Bush said the constitution was "just a g/d piece of paper".

And why, since 911, and the selection of Obama (the democrats own Bush), many Americans will not be rallying or protesting, but either contemplating, or counting their blessings, because the constitution is what's burning for a NWO that uses Muslims to advance the spiritual means they completely lack.

I hope it's a nice day.

It is false to assume a

It is false to assume a seperation of church and state this gets thrown around a lot but it is not in our laws anywhere and is often used by athiests to try and bully their views through. Also if there is any issue that athiests generally don't like, yet majority of a certain faith do, they claim its all about religion for example abortion or birth control, these are not faith issues but those of the athiest creed use the religion as a way to try and enforce their views on the issue.

Abortion for example the real issue is rather you view abortion as murder or not, those that do are usually pro life and those that don't are usually pro choice it has nothing to do with religion. Athiests all to often use this as an argument against anyone who may be religious from expressing there views in public or government.

Yet it is my view the constitution was set up to protect all religious views and allow them to all flourish, not the opposite which seems to be to oppress all percieved religious views.

By the way I am agnostic but fear those who want to limit religious freedom more than those who would try to enforce their religious views on me or others.

Actually you are correct

But only with trying to practice Separation of Church and State can true freedom of religion not be abridged as stated in the First Amendment.

I would argue the best way to

I would argue the best way to protect them is to have as small a governement as possible. The constitution makes a great foundation for our government, its all these layers that have been added to it over the last 300 years that have ruined religious freedom(I include athiesm as a religious view)

Absolutely

ATrue

ever heard of the noahide laws? http://bewareofthenoahidelaws.followersofyah.com/

No, but...

I will go try to satisfy my thirst for knowledge. Thank you!

My pleasure.

I'd be curious to know what you think.

Maybe people are

wary about this march, because it is backed by 2 political parties.
Communists and Muslims.
Read up on the Russian revolution and how the masses were infiltrated by the "right sounding" people, telling them what they wanted to hear to hear.
On the other side of that, I protested against the take over of Iraq in a rally organised by the communist party, despite being vehemently opposed to communism. And glad I did.

So they are lying about true agenda?

I would accept this as substantial if proved, But look at the causes some of these organizations support, Could they all be lying? It would take quite some very substantial proof for me to accept them all as not supporting the cause they claim to support. A lot of folks here at the DP support many of the very same causes, this is what has me bewildered? Thank you for the reply and wisdom my friend.

This is only my take on it ok?

Dr Paul was recently criticized for speaking at an event that some saw as questionable. But as he is a message spreader, he spreads the message. So will the people at MAMAF. No matter what banner it is under.
The more people that are asked to rethink 9/11, war with Syria, NSA and countless other issues, the better. It is who they embrace as their "Leader" against it all that is the problem. Who wasn't at lest momentarily taken in by Barry's honeyed tongue, and suave charm?
That is how slick Communism is.

Communism infiltrates the masses by spreading distrust, fear and hatred of the Ruling Class, spilling the shocking secrets of wrong doing, as it aligns itself with groups and organisations who are very genuine about the excesses of Power.
Communism spreads with the social unrest it helps to create.
I do believe that We the People are being herded in a pincer movement between Big Left and Big Right, towards a mass event that will either end in a Communist Regime or a Fascist one if we choose to follow the wrong people, or sit on our hands and do nothing.

everyone above--

thank you for teaching me some things I hadn't known/understood.

It's a daily process.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

P.S. Jill

I would like to highly Commend you for doing what was right about Iraq. Doing what is right is more important than what shoulders you have to rub to do it. Right is right and wrong is wrong no matter the source. Thank you.

Absolutely agree

Yes I am fully aware about the infusion of Communism also. It has been happening for many years very slow and systematic as I watched.I am originally from the very roots of the start in this Country, California! Very well explained reply my friend, Thank you!

I don't wish I lived in New York, but if I did

I wouldn't miss going to this. I'm sick of the information 'provided' by the corporate media.

But perhaps with youtube we can all see independent representations, unfiltered by the MSM.

I'm glad it is happening.

I agree

There are two sides to every story and I truly think we are only being presented with one side of this thing. I hate being blinded by the opinion of others.

I have the same questions.

I have the same questions. This march seems to me to be a worthwhile thing in some respects, I don't understand why there is so much resistance to it, I mean other than the typical Xenophobaholic Superiority Complex* that plagues the public.

*Xenophobaholic Superiority Complex: Fearing people that are different from you and feeling superior to them because of it.

Thank You

I really have not yet heard one substantial reason to be so hating and opposed to this event. I truly am confused.
