“I feel badly, very badly for my friends in the Free Syrian Army today" ~ John McCain

Sen. John McCain (R-Ari.) said Wednesday that the rebels engaged in a civil war with Syrian president Bashar Assad feel “abandoned” by President Obama.

“I was very disappointed that the president did not mention the Free Syrian Army and our moral and material assistance for them, which is required,” McCain said on MSNBC’s "Morning Joe." “I think they do feel that they’re being abandoned.”

“I feel badly, very badly for my friends in the Free Syrian Army today,” he added.

Lemme just put the tip (of the spear) in

The warmongers are sounding desperate.

yes poor Al-Qaeda rebels

I guess they will just have to settle for Libya for the time being.

He is right

Assad will put the heat on them now. He has about a month for the coup de gras ...if you will imo.

donvino

Good for Assad then.

After watching these Islamist scum burn down several Orthodox Churches in Syria, I'm more of a mind to either give Putin the okay to arm Assad to the teeth so he can put down the insurrection as heavy-handed as possible, or send American troops in to assist Assad in butchering these barbarians.

The Free Syrian Army needs to become the Dead Free Syrian Army.

But McShame

never felt bad about dropping napalm on innocent villagers during the Vietnam conflict? That's rich.

Johny when you feel badly

It makes me feel goodly. Wishing you the very worst.

Free Syrian Army?

I think McCain meant to say "I feel badly, very badly for my friends in the designated terrorist groups al-Qaeda, al-Nusra Front, and al-Furqan Brigades".

And by the way John, "material assistance" for terrorists is a crime punishable by life in prison according to US law (18 USC § 2339).

"Whoever knowingly provides material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, or attempts or conspires to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both, and, if the death of any person results, shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life."

Ahh, they haven't had human heart for weeks.

These are your friends John?

Free includes debt-free!

If you are so upset

take your wrinkled old worthless ass over there and fight with them! Want to stop all wars? Just pass a law that says once Congress agrees to go to war that the first wave will consist of only extended family members of the Congress!!!

Was this for Paul?

If it is, you apparently misunderstood what he said.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

If it was for John, I agree!

Free includes debt-free!

It was for worthless John and

It was for worthless John and all his cohorts in Congress

Thanks Paul

My mistake, Getting tired and I didn't catch it. Been running back and forth from customers in the shop all day, lol

I cannot stand people like Granger

I have been stalking this site for years now. I visit dailypaul atleast twice everyday to keep up on politics and Ron Paul / Rand Paul, but I rarely post here. However, I am really active on having debates on facebook's news story. Granger is the type of person I encounter all of the time. They are part hypocrite, part good willed, and part gullible.
They shutdown their common sense and go into knee jerk mode when certain issues pull on their strings.

Yes, chemical weapons are bad, but how are bombs and sanctions better? Killing the leftover children who barely survived the chemical attack brings justice to no-one. After-all, bombs are just a chemical reaction on impact, and the results are just as brutal.

Besides those points, I always ask, who has more to gain from this attack?

Assad, who has been winning for 2 years now, even while our government has been foaming at the mouth for an excuse to invade?

Or the terrorist rebels, who kill innocents regularly, who Need our help in order to win an usher in their Islamic State?

Witnessing the knee jerk reactions since the attack, clearly proves who had more to gain and who had more to lose.

Lastly, these same people who are willing to rush to war and bombs, are the same people who stand by as we drone attack civilians, kill thousands with wars, and millions with sanctions.

We killed 500,000 Iraqi children in Iraq during the 90s alone.
But that was justified and worth what exactly? We ended up going to war anyways and killing more.

drop in more often :)

Go visit your friends Johnny and don't come back

...you know what's funny? I had entirely forgotten that McCain was the 2008 GOP nominee for POTUS until few minutes ago. I think this has happened before, the fact has slipped my mind and I later remember and think it's odd that I could have forgotten that. He's both repulsive and forgettable, and I guess that's what you call the "banality of evil."

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Saw him on Al Jazeera this morning.

He is a pathological liar and probably a borderline personality in other words the perfect salesman for permanent war.

Has anyone noticed lately...That Al Jazeera is advertising both

on CNN and Fox News? McCain on Al Jazeera? It's later than even I thought!

Thing is, there is no right or wrong side with McCain

If McCain could get away with making the taxpayers pay for arms to give to BOTH sides he would do it in a heartbeat. He's just taking anything he can get right now and Right or Wrong matters not to him.

is seriously deranged.

How about the people of the Free American Republic

How does he feel about those people?

As for me, I feel Proud! Elated! Ecstatic! The American people have triumphed over the power of the special interests that have captured the government - for once. I hope it is the beginning of a trend.

And I believe in the poster below - McCain and the Granger should put their battle fatigues on, grab their guns and catch the next plane to Syria.

Neither of you will be missed here.

why they have unlimited funds to equip his 'friends', right? Right? Oh wait.

For once I agree with McCain

I see the Free Syrian Army as the Liberty Movement, if Obama started mowing down protesters, shut off the internet, had military police go door to door and eliminate people, 5 million moved into FEMA camps, more arrested, and put in concentration camps around military bases as human sheilds.. and the people of the US woke up to find themselves in a civil war... one day you're protesting and the next day, there's no net, people are moving, troops are shaking people down, assassinating people, and the militas take up arms, and the Mexican drug lords come in to loot and protect their territories.. and Obama is going insane, blowing up cities, and then China comes along to protect their ports and arm Obama... and Obama is winning slaughtering Americans.. who would help the Liberty Movement?

No one.

And so I agree with McCain, because the FREE SYRIANS are good people who love the net and want freedom from tyranny, while they are joined by other rebels who do not want freedom from tyranny, but want Islam to rule the world, and they have taken advantage of the chaos.. had to be chaos to wake up one day and find out the protest went leathal..

No one to stop Assad, no one to stop any global leader from using chemical, or any weapon, against their own people. If Obama wants to mow down the Liberty Movement, the Liberty Movment is the first to say, That is his right and it's no one business to stop him, after all we don't have the money.

It's like a train wreck

It's horrible to look at but I cannot turn away.

Please keep posting Granger. I need your comments to keep me thinking on my feet.

I disagree strongly, but disagreement alone has never caused me

to vote anyone down. (I didn't vote you down either). I think we should stay out of this one because we really have no idea who the 'lesser of two evils' are in this situation, and we have some evidence that the rebels are not all McCain proclaims them to be. I posted a letter from Christians in Allepo describing who and what the rebels are and are doing.

Then why stop at Syria?

Why not go into Palestine as well, where the same conditions you describe in your first paragraph also prevail?

Let me see you if you agree with your statement, if I just change one word:

FREE PALESTINIANS are good people who love the net and want freedom from tyranny, while they are joined by other rebels who do not want freedom from tyranny, but want Islam to rule the world, and they have taken advantage of the chaos.. had to be chaos to wake up one day and find out the protest went leathal..

And why stop with the Syrians and the Palestinians? Let's get into North Korea as well, because no doubt they are good people who just want freedom from tyranny.

Words are cheap Granger, and you've got a lot of cheap words that make no sense at all. You're great at making word salad.

If you want to help Rand Paul win, I suggest you resign from the Republican Party immediately, not go anywhere near any of his campaign activities, and not open your mouth again. I think that would probably be a net positive for Rand.
