NY Times Op Ed by Putin: It's really good

This is the last paragraph:

My working and personal relationship with President Obama is marked by growing trust. I appreciate this. I carefully studied his address to the nation on Tuesday. And I would rather disagree with a case he made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is “what makes America different. It’s what makes us exceptional.” It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation. There are big countries and small countries, rich and poor, those with long democratic traditions and those still finding their way to democracy. Their policies differ, too. We are all different, but when we ask for the Lord’s blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal.

Let's Get President Putin On 'Saturday Night, Live'

I can see it now, Putin and 'SNL Obama' going at it.

SNL Obama: "Hey Vlad, how about a game of Battleship?"
Putin: "Sure Barry, but we Russians only have a few vessels."
SNL Obama: "Well, I guess my warships beat yours, you lose."
Putin: "No Mr. President, my 'statesmanship' beats yours, you lose."

Love won! Deliverance from Tyranny is on the way! Col. 2:13-15

Let's all avoid a knee-jerk reaction here, folks...

Yes, this Op Ed is fantastic but to put everything in context, the reason we think this letter is fantastic is because Obama and the state of our country is so, so bad right now. Having said that, kudos to Putin for being the bigger man here and showing some leadership.

For some inexplicable reason

I read comments on the NYT site.

It almost made me vomit. Are there really so many shills hired to write comments? Or general american public is really THAT simple-minded? Oh, wait, who am I kidding, of course they are... I especially love parts about civil liberties and such in Russia. It's like "I've never been to your place, but it's surely a disgusting refuse pile because my news-maker told me so"... So pathetic.

Only as high as i reach can i grow
Only as far as i seek can i go
Only as deep as i look can i see
Only as much as i dream can i be

They are simple-minded

and believe everything the msm tells them to believe. I read some of the comments also and couldn't believe them. The NYT had to write an editorial today supporting their decision to run it; some people even think they should not have printed it. And our reps in DC are all disgusted with it. I thought it was very good. I find it interesting to hear directly from people in other countries; I found Assad to be intelligent and logical also. I think that assad should give more interviews so that people can get more direct information from his country.

Crazy pills

I FEEL LIKE IM TAKING CRAZY PILLS!!!! does anyone else feel this way? how did Vladimir Putin of RUSSIA become the voice of reason and peace. seriously America wtf. well im glad someones making sense even if it is russia, or cambodia i dont care where, unfortunately logic and peace left this land long long ago. probably long before 9/11, it was just the straw that broke the crazy camels back.

even if putin is only saying this for political points, if it keeps us outta war i dont really care. at least its political BS towards peace and not the normal BS that leads to war.

Ive already fought in one pointless war no one else should ever be asked todo the same.

meow

Don't get suckered.

The "sexing" up of everything Russian, is a propaganda job from the Left.
We are being herded.

CHECKMATE

This is a remarkable effort on President Putin's part, an effectively-worded counterpoint to the sort of belligerent posturing we been hearing from the Obushma Administration.

Of course, it is extremely self-serving, given Russia's history of backing Assad's authoritarian regime, and his father's before that. But it does indicate what is probably a very real shared interest in taking Syria's chemical stockpile out of circulation and stopping an attack NOBODY wants.

The exploration of shared interests is precisely what our foreign policy should be about as Senator Rand Paul has been saying all week.

We should therefore take President Putin at his word and press to make this an effective international initiative in Syria, which by the way would be something of a first.

And self-serving though it may be, President Putin's complaint about our fondness for promoting the idea of "American exceptionalism" is right on the mark. The world surely needs our leadership, but not lectures on our superior morality.

Bravo President Putin
Well played

This is no frickin joke.

I can't help comparing Putin's editorial

to Rand Paul's response to Obama's recent speech.

If I didn't know anything else about the two men other than what they've had to say on this issue, I'd say Putin makes a lot more sense. Probably because Rand Paul hopes to get elected President, and realizes that saying anything intelligent -- or true -- is the kiss of death, politically.

How I abhor politicians in general.

I have an observation about Putin and I will use Ron Paul as an analogy.

One reason (IMO more than any other) people have cited they fell in love with Ron Paul was his voting track record of principle. When they didn't know who Ron Paul was but learned about his consistent record they liked him more for it. Even Ron Paul has not been immune from political scandal (maybe scandal is too strong of a word). The newsletters come to mind, even recently there were people asking Ron about talking before a allegedly controversial group. Ron has responded on the record to why he doesn't return campaign donations to so called Nazi sympathizers or other controversial labels.

At the end of the day so called bad things people would try to associate with Dr. Paul are insignificant to the good which comes from being a voice of reason.

In this sense Putin reminds me of Dr. Paul. I am not saying they are alike in philosophy or anything like that nor am I comparing the two. I am simply saying Putin appears to be making logical assertions and even as Putin has enjoyed more international media spotlight there are not a whole bunch of news stories about Putin killing his own people or committing other atrocities to call his credibility into question.

I haven't studied Putin and would not claim to be a Putin expert but on the surface this is how it appears from the perspective of a casual observer.

He's a totalitarian,

He's a totalitarian, top-down, ends justifies the means type. Nuff said?

We may be dumb as sheep, but we herd like cats, and are more clever than monkeys. What sane person would think us cattle?

KaBoom!

A Truth Bomb.

American's will be the last ones to wake up to the tyranny their gvt. is imposing on the planet.

But once they do! It's going to be a hoot.

Is Vlad running for president of the NWO?

Sure sounds like he's campaigning to become our next president.

Read Russian News Articles

I have said this before, but I do a lot of Russian news searches and reading with the help of my Russian wife. I am finding more truthful articles and news coming out of Russia than you would think.

What Putin has said in this article is very true and representative of the Russian outlook on the world and their policies. Indeed, Putin is Putin, but he also is looking out for Russia to stay clear of entangling situations.

Personally, I trust Putin and Russia's position in the world more than anything Obama or the US is doing. Russian Is Not trying to take over the world. Match that to the US and the control the Globists have over the US in their march towards World Domination!!

Yes very sad that we are now

Yes very sad that we are now Pravda and they are now rational truth.

Well written for his

Well written for his political BS, which is not unlike 0bummer's.
You would do well to remember that for all of our faults, w/o our poorly heeded founding principles, the entire world would still operate with openly fueding empires. Putin intentionally detracts from this thought. So does B0. Don't let them help you to forget it.

We may be dumb as sheep, but we herd like cats, and are more clever than monkeys. What sane person would think us cattle?

Down votes for praising our

Down votes for praising our founding principles.
What a bunch of childish idiots.

We may be dumb as sheep, but we herd like cats, and are more clever than monkeys. What sane person would think us cattle?

What makes the US such an exceptional country ?

We have the bill of rights...except except except... (with so many exceptions that we don't really have any left according to our goverment..)

The American Empire follows the rules...except..except..except..
(They don't really follow the rules they just make them up as they go...)

The American Empires exceptional monopoly on mineral resources... yes.. I think that's what Mr. Obama is really talking about, the same doctrine spelled out by PNAC.

Vladimir V. Putin is a Hero of mine

2/3 of Americans support the Putinesca Plan for Syria. All MSM news reporter are insulting and bashing Putin nonstop for some reason.

I wish Vladimir V. Putin was President of the USA.

Seriously?

Let's not turn this into a high school crush on Vladimir Putin. Do some research into his past. Seriously........ yes, he is embarrassing the person who happens to reside in the Whitehouse now over this issue, but putin as president of the USA? Come on ...... let's not have our heads open up and brains roll out on the floor...............

I pick Obama

Although if Putin were president it would be interesting to know what happens when there is a military coup.

It real! He sings Bloob-erri Heel!

Holy cow thats great. He passes my beer summit test. Putin never would have done that under Bush-- Bush would have come out behind a curtain put his arm around him and asked the crowd "Were those Pooty-poot's pipes?"..

on the one hand I support diplomacy....

but on the other hand I wonder about the notion of Putin playing a bigger role on the world stage and pushing the UN as a governing body with some measure of "authority" over supposedly sovereign nations.

seems like there's a lot of conditioning recently to get the masses to support/sympathize with the Russians and for America to defer to the UN...

it just always seems as if we're focused on 1 hand at a time. I wonder who has what agenda and where they overlap.

At their inceptions, the #Liberty, #OccupyWallStreet and #TeaParty movements all had the same basic goal... What happened?

Awwww

So sweet how he humiliated the POSPOTUS

I'm gonna 'steal' that, Cuda!

"POSPOTUS"

me likes. me likes! xD

Last paragraph

That last paragraph stood out to me as well. Well written by Putin.
