Former agnostic goes all religulous on the DP

I've discovered the patron Saint of Conspiracy Theorists ;-)
I'm homeschooling with a Catholic curriculum. So we're doing a craft involving St. Michael today and I decide to youtube him to give my child a little background on the archangel. Lo and behold there's a prayer to St. Michael to get the international bankers out of Washington! "Break all powers of the Int'rn'l Bankers" No doubt made by a liberty leaning Catholic.

forward to 6:26 to read the corruption stuff

Look people, I just got out of a heated discussion with my extremely intelligent husband who refuses to see anything absurd about the official 9/11 story. We're just not going to get through to most people.
I do believe in the power of intention (positive thinking, prayer), and think if we can all pray to St. Michael to send the banksters to hell, well... it certainly can't hurt. It made me feel better anyway, maybe you'll like it too.

That is really cool

There's a Saint out there for everything. I don't remember who it is, but my friend always prays to a particular Saint when he can't find a parking space and BOOM! one seems to appear outta nowhere. Since I can never remember the saint's name, I've never tried this for myself. I have called on St Anthony many, many times when I couldn't find something and he has never let me down - even when I lost my wallet in downtown Denver! It was returned the next day with everything in it, a little beat up because it had gotten run over, but nothing was taken. No one will ever convince me St Anthony doesn't find things for you. And it shocked the heck outta my friend that he worked.
St Jude is also a miracle worker. When you've done your best but it isn't working out, when the situation is at that desperate point, go to St Jude. I only ever asked for his help once, and he came through for me.
I've been fortunate to have met several great and wise people. This one sage said that the reason these things work is because we believe they work, and it's that belief that causes the Universe to act for us. Another said the division of God's powers into Saints is because most people aren't capable of really understand a Creator that encompasses everything, that our minds like to divide and categorize like a file cabinet (you can tell how long ago I was told all this - we'd now use computer references). He said prayer is like a letter, you need to address it to the right saint or else it will never get there, that they have their assignments and if you want the desired outcome you need to send the letter to the right place.

You aren't going to get through because you're wrong.

Michael = Jesus

Interestingly enough some religions believe Michael is Jesus. No, they don't believe Jesus is an angel or a created being but believe He is the Archangel or the head of the Angels (the big boss). When you review the references to Michael in the Bible it can make sense.

The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment...Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are His delight. Prov 12:19,22

ConstitutionHugger, I hear ya...

Some people, no matter their intelligence, cannot bring themselves to think that their government could lie and cover up something so serious. Or even be involved in the crime.

Have you tried showing him this from James Corbett? This little 5 minute video should make ANYONE curious about 9/11 and the official story...

So how does your hubby

address Bld. 7?

Pray to Jesus

not to Saint Michael.

ConstitutionHugger's picture

some folks believe they are the same person

Why do you believe it's bad to pray to saints?

The reason that we believe

The reason that we believe it's bad to pray to saints is because it's not Biblical. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:5 " For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Also in John 14:13-14 the Bible says, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it]."

Additionally, the Bible condemns worshiping men instead of God. For example people tried to worship Paul in the New Testament, and he told them not to.

So, basically the reason we believe that it's bad to pray to saints is because it's not Biblical. This isn't the only place the Catholic church, and others like it don't follow the Bible. Please don't get mad at me though as my purpose isn't to offend anyone. The best thing to do is to compare this doctrine of praying to saints with the Bible, and if they don't match you know which of the two is wrong.

Or pray to Harry Potter.

Or pray to Harry Potter. Makes absolutely no difference.

Actually it does! Harry Potter is a fictional character,

there is plenty of evidence for Jesus Christ's existence as a 'flesh and blood' human being that walked this earth. What is more, there is also evidence for His claims of deity.

The greatest trick that power-hungry statests ever pulled was convincing the world that a cosmic king with the power to see everything you do, and either punish you with eternal torture or give you eternal life existed. overly simplified version

Free will- we always reap the consequences of our actions. Why wouldn't there be a natural extension of that principle throughout the cosmos?
I don't claim to know the answers, but I think that religion has been taken over by evil just as our government has. I believe there is something more profound than that which we can see with our eyes, and I believe knowledge of it has been deliberately kept from us.

I can't argue with that save

I can't argue with that save for one thing. The only deliberate method by which the truth is being witheld from us is our own ignorant habit of inventing answers rather than searching for them.

our politicians are doing a pretty good job of sending use there without God's help.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if someone can't see anything fishy about 9-11 at this point, and they've been shown, they really aren't all that intelligent. In fact they're downright stupid.

Intelligent people can twist things around and delude

themselves better than anyone. Believe me, he can make a good argument with the worse set of facts. He's a worrier and he'd probably not sleep for a month if he allowed himself to accept that 9/11 was a false flag. Then he couldn't perform at work, get fired, and his family would be out on the street. I think the denial is emotional, not intellectual. But it is extremely aggravating.

It is now a standard part

of pre-marriage counseling to discuss how the couple thinks about 9-11.

Too late for you.

Interesting ...

I know several couples that have gone their separate ways as a result of the issue.

All good people and they weren't messy splits, and there weren't kids at home.

They just concluded that their fundamental differences were too much to resolve.

When did St Michael

gain the power to send people to Hell? Isn't it only God who can make that judgement?

ConstitutionHugger's picture

According to the pamphlet that came with the rosary holder kit

Christian tradition gives St. Michael four offices:
1. To fight against Satan.
2. To rescue the souls of the faithful from the power of the enemy, especially at the hour of death.
3. To be the champion of God's people, the Jews in the Old law, the Christians in the New Testament; therefore he was the patron of the Church, and of the orders of knights during the Middle Ages.
4. To call away from earth and bring men's souls to judgment.
- excerpted from The Catholic Encyclopedia

Prayer to Saint Michael - by Pope Leo XIII

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits
who roam about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Thanks for that.

I'm not really up with Saints and their (for want of a better term) job description.

ConstitutionHugger's picture

I didn't even know they had job descriptions!

:-) For me, it's fun to explore this stuff.

well...you can, technically, 'threaten' to 'close shop'

for a wee bit...

though, I'd imagine such short term tactics will never be beneficial in the long run, especially with those whom you truly love.

But hey, facetiously, teasingly 'threatening' him?

Don't know...maybe??

Well, I dare not give an unsolicited relationship advice to a tough r3VOL chica.

That said, seeing as how you made the choice to be with a highly intelligent man, I'd assume he certainly accepts and knows that your intentions are clear and sincere.

So, the R3D-Pill seeds would've definitely been laid.

Who knows, at this rate?

The world's only getting more weirder by the day; soon enough reality will simply irrevocably catch up, and he'll remember who always tried to suggest an honest alternative toward the right path ;0)

I think I still have faith in humanity's indomitable spirit against succumbing to evil; it often takes awhile and a horribly bumpy road, but a clearing's always ahead, no?

Well... I'd like to think so.

shop closed until you admit 9/11 was a false flag, lol

sorry, not a good strategy. But it is upsetting that we see things so differently. I'm not going to try to convince him anymore. He is cooperating with my prepper plans now so at least I don't feel so vulnerable. We're working on dealing with each other's differing viewpoints with respect. Life will march onward- toward WWIII or toward peace, whichever. One thing I know is that peace can be achieved in my home. As long as there is trust and mutual respect the shop can be open.
And I fully expect that one day he will have to say "you were right." I won't say "I told you so," I'll be too happy to finally share this adventure with him.
