"The Scarecrow" Ad by Chipotle is A Commentary on GMOs

A new ad by Chipotle called The Scarecrow seems to be about the synthetic culture we live in, where food called "all-natural" is actually genetically modified. Is this good for spreading the word on GMOs? Or merely Chipotle hypocritically posing as the solution to GMOs when they themselves are one of the culprits. Chipotle used to be mostly owned by McDonald's until 2006, when they fully divested according to Wikipedia.

This ad has no GMO referrences at all!

Yeah, there was a lot depictions of corrupt farming and the inhumane treatment of animals dramatized in an artful cartoon with pretty music, but where, oh were, did you see ANY "GMO commentary" ANYWHERE in this ad?

Tragically, even when folks avoid all that is rightfully shown to be wrong, they can still be damaged by the impact of GMO's because the genetic corruption of the raw ingredients they choose to fix at home, or any restaurant they might want to eat at, are not easily discerned!

How about the injection of

How about the injection of the chicken with a needle that immediately causes it to grow... Almost like its genetics were modified....

That is what hormones and antibiotics do

It has long been a practice of the poultry factory-food producers to "enhance" the meat production of chickens and turkeys by these non-GMO means; but wherever compromises like these are practiced, GMO-feed might be used also.

When the slippery-slope of chemical compromise is justified for profit, there's no telling where it'll stop, but the ingestion of these chemicals by poultry to radically alter their meat production, isn't directly, or necessarily connected to GMOs.

Here's an example of some folks trying to do the right thing, contrasting the common factory-food model with what they are doing better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Dp5Nq-shB4

I'm passionately against GMOs and I wish that had somehow been part of that ad. It just wasn't.

This ad was about a lot more

This ad was about a lot more than GMOs but I guess those who have eyes will see, those who don't, won't.

We almost agree

All I said was it was about everything wrong with the food-factory-as-usual crisis, EXCEPT that it FAILED to address GMOs. We ought to be able to agree on that, but those that want to see what isn't there will visualize it to themselves, and then accuse others of blindness for not sharing their perception of it, I guess.

What evidence, or expectation, do you have that this corporation has repented of the sins of its father, McDonald's, on this? Please bring it, if you have it. How I wish it were true!
