One of the World's most authoritative voices on all things defense, IHS Jane's Defence Weekly, has just come out with a finding that further puts doubts into oBUSHma's war footing in Syria:
Syria: nearly half rebel fighters are jihadists or hardline Islamists, says IHS Jane's report
Nearly half the rebel fighters in Syria are now aligned to jihadist or hardline Islamist groups according to a new analysis of factions in the country's civil war.

Opposition forces battling Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria now number around 100,000 fighters, but after more than two years of fighting they are fragmented into as many as 1,000 bands.
The new study by IHS Jane's, a defence consultancy, estimates there are around 10,000 jihadists - who would include foreign fighters - fighting for powerful factions linked to al-Qaeda.
Two factions linked to al-Qaeda, Jabhat al-Nusra and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) - also know as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Shams (ISIS) - have come to dominate among the more extremist fighters, Mr Lister said. Their influence has risen significantly in the past year.

Jihadists and members of hardline Islamist groups make up almost half of forces fighting against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, according to extracts from a British defence study published in Monday's Daily Telegraph.
The analysis by defence consultancy IHS Jane's, due to be published in full later this week, puts the number of rebel forces at around 100,000, the Telegraph reported.
But these fighters have split into as many as 1,000 bands since violence flared two years ago, the study concluded.
Most notable part cited in the above Telegraph article, however, was at the end of that article; as further emphasized by InfoWars, is the following troubling trend: 'brainwashing' youths and ordinary Syrians into extremist Islamist Jihadists.
ISIS has also begun a programme of “indoctrination” of civilians in rebel-held areas, trying to educate Syria’s traditionally moderate Sunni Muslims into a more hard-line interpretation of Islam.
The Following was posted in the description box, for the YouTube video posted at the top of this thread:
01/01/12) Footage of a Syrian Opposition Demonstration in which participants sing an Al Qaeda song reminscing upon the 'sweet memory' of the 9/11 attacks and praising Bin Laden as their leader. This isn't the first time the song has been featured at opposition demonstrations at which Al Qaeda flags are commonplace.
Basic Verse translation of the song in question which is a well known Al Qaeda hymn.
"If they call me a 'terrorist', I would say: 'It is an honor for me'
Our terror is praised, with a divine calling
Our leader, the Mullah (Omar), did not forsake his religion
All the soldiers have sold their souls to Allah
Our leader bin Laden, America's worst nightmare
With the power of faith and our weapons
We destroyed America with a civilian plane
The World Trade Centre was turned into a pile of rubble
