Speaker Amash

Maybe Amash will be speaker one day if we keep elected libertarian and libertarian leaning Congressmen.

When Detroit becomes the

When Detroit becomes the poster-child for libertarianism over the next few years, then he will run.

He wouldn't have won it anyway

While his district in central MI is right leaning, he would have lost the state (read Detroit).

He's doing just fine in the House...

...no need to rush into a Senate campaign anyway.

Would you say that about Rand?

He's leaping for the presidency.

No, totally different situation.

The gain to the liberty movement from Amash leaving the House for the Senate is fairly small: he goes from 1/435th the vote to 1/100th the vote. And his odds of winning a Senate set right now aren't very good. Whereas, the gain to the liberty movement from Rand leaving the Senate for the White House are astronomical, and he has an excellent chance of winning.

Bump

Michigan GOP leadership not behind Amash.

They want a lickspittle to fill Levin's seat.
