Rand Paul says: "We probably can't get rid of Obamacare"

Really?

MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (AP) — Republican Sen. Rand Paul says President Barack Obama's health care law probably can't be defeated or gotten rid of. And he's suggesting there is little he and other congressional Republicans can do to stop the law from taking effect.

Which makes all of Rand Paul's

posturing just fluff to get public support for a presidential run (?).

I don't buy it and am glad someone posted it was rebutted.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

Breibart already interviewed Rand on this - debunked

Rand said that's not what he said.

No surprise he is conditioning

his libertarian followers to accept it. Just doing his part to keep everyone in line.

Yes, really

What are the chances that the Senate will pass a bill to repeal Obamacare and Obama will sign that bill into law? ...ain't gonna happen. That's not to say we're stuck with Obamacare permanently, but we're certainly stuck with it until at least 2016.

really?

because he's already walked that back (says the press lied).

a big move afoot to defund.

Yes, really

Obamacare will not be repealed during this Presidency.

I wasn't talking about defunding.

it looks like ted cruz didn't get the memo

besides my original 'really' was more about the defeatism in rand's statement, but, he has since changed his tune (or rather called foul on the AP). anyways defunding works for me.

He says he is for defunding it though,

in this article.

Defeatist tone

If Rand makes another defeatist comment like this one, I won't donate a single dollar to his campaign in 2016.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Rand is correct, Harry

Rand is correct, Harry Reid, will add the funding back into the resolution, and Boehner will crumble as he has in the past. I do find the advantage is that if there is a vote in the Senate, it will now go on record which we have not seen with all of the repeal bills from the house. This can be used when the Senators are running for re-election. Where Rand could be wrong is if WE THE PEOPLE flood our Senators voicemails and mailboxes, we could sway those votes especially of they are running for re-election in 2014.

You almost had it, there. Then you wrote:

"Where Rand could be wrong is if WE THE PEOPLE flood our Senators voicemails and mailboxes, we could sway those votes especially of they are running for re-election in 2014."

Uh... and how did that work out when this abomination was first passed? They didn't listen then and they won't listen now. There is a different agenda afloat and the NWO will have their way on this... for now.

STFU RAND!!!

STFU RAND!!!

Well then, why don't you explain to all of us...

...how we're supposed get Obama and the Democrats in the Senate to vote for repealing their own legislation? Go ahead, lay out your strategy.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Ron said the same thing when

Ron said the same thing when he was running in 2012, we still need to try though.

Yeah, Really.

The majority of people living in this country are enemies of the Constitution. They don't want "freedom" and self responsibility. They want Santa Claus. And they can "legally" to vote (even under the Constitution they have that right). And these people OVERWHELMINGLY represent those working for government - from judicial to enforcement and on. It is overwhelmingly Statists who chose to work for the State.

How are you going to take away their "free" government dole? You certainly aren't going to outvote them. Their dole will end when the government goes bankrupt...maybe. Or when the US as a monolithic, centrally planned country ceases to exist.

The quality of the gifts they get from Santa will likely prove a little disappointing in the longer run, but most of these people couldn't care less about that today.....

All that said, the Oct 11 Trucker Strike might be interesting

Nullification by those who are expected to be sacrificial animals withdrawing support can upset the apple cart ... er ... Santa's sleigh.

Tan I hate to say it,

but as I said in another thread about that trucker strike - Don't expect much. I've seen them called for time and time again over the years, and you'll probably be lucky to see all of 1000 truck drivers across the entire country actually participate. That's the way any other "trucker strike" has always gone. And there have been plenty of them planned in history.

I'd love to be wrong. Being wrong would be welcomed and a sign of things changing. But I bet my guess is much closer to what actually happens than anyone's that is thinking this trucker strike is going to be some huge day to remember.
