'Stand With Rand' PAC Doesn't Give a Crap About Government Rules!

Prompted to change its name, committee tells federal government to buzz off!

The "Stand with Rand PAC" is taking a stand against the government.

In a letter to the Federal Election Commission, the independent political committee today cheekily dismissed regulators' assertion that it can't use the name of Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., in its title unless the candidate himself formally authorizes it.

"This Committee ... is unaware that the late Ayn Rand, noted philosopher and author and of Atlas Shrugged, is seeking election to federal office," Stand with Rand PAC wrote.

RANDPAC vs StandwithRand Pac ???

Anyone know the people behind this PAC? They have "Randal" Paul all over their web page, not Ayn Rand as claimed in a recent filing. According to FEC filings:

First Treasurer is Bill Willenbrock of Chantilly, VA maybe associated with csirois at db capital strategies is also listed.
An Amendment changed the Treasurer to Dan Backer also at db cap. strag.

Rand Paul already has RANDPAC, which is in Kentucky. Treasurer is Kevin Broghamer.

I worry those behind this new PAC want to confuse Rand's supporters and redirect his revenue stream.

Update from WPost

Treasurer Dan Backer also keeps books for Stop Pelosi PAC.
