Scalia Forms Search Committee for New Pope

Saying he was "sorry it had to come to this," Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said today that he was forming an "independent search committee" to select a new Pope.

The visibly upset jurist appeared at a press conference with the sole other member of the newly formed search committee, Justice Clarence Thomas.

Its satire. Why is anyone taking it seriously?

"The article below is satire. Andy Borowitz is an American comedian and New York Times-bestselling author who satirizes the news for his column, "The Borowitz Report."

Guess nobody appreiates

satire on DP anymore. lol

Saddest of all

The saddest thing of all about this is that two of the justices on the "highest court in the land" are too blind to see the oxymoronic situation this reveals. What do they say to one another? "Hey, we've got to find ourselves a more infallible pope than the infallible one we can't put up with any longer!"

No wonder our country's in such bad shape as it is - too many people blinded by the deception that continuously flows from the Vatican!

Our founding fathers came here to get away from the "gross darkness of popery", as worded on page one of Bradford's, "Of Plymouth Plantation"

Wake up people!

While I believe in freedom of religion and I respect the right of people to believe what they want. I also respect my right to express the lack of respect I have for what they believe.

Respecting someones right to believe is what we should afford each other, but no one should be forced to respect the opinions of those who believe in something so easily debunked.

God gave us brains for a reason - so we don't have to be deceived unless we choose to be ignorant and superstitious.

Freedom is the ability to do what you want to do.
Liberty is the ability to do what you ought to do.
"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." 2 Corinthians 3:17

It's only satire,

I labeled it satire. Sorry if I offended, just thought it was funny.
