Vetting Ted Cruz

In light of recent events, I feel that Ted Cruz should be fully vetted. While his track record so far has been spot on, my gut tells me to BEWARE.

If it is truly not a problem, why did he do it? Why did he wait so long? Is this even moot?:

Most people have a bad apple in the family, however there is not a single bush who I trust. With the power, money and closed door meetings, there is no way for me to know what has been planned since generations ago. Typically, as in the Paul's case, a good family can/will speak volumes for the rest:

People listened, W. won, and people rejoiced. He indeed seemed such a compassionate and conservative man:

Finally, have any of the bush's ever endorsed Ron, Rand, Justin, Thomas, Mike, Sanford, Salmon, Flake, etc.?

Are we playing with fire, which appears to be light at the end of the tunnel?

In case you are wondering my position, this thread post should indicate where I stand.

(((( Not to mention Heidi Cruz: ))))

What does your gut say about Ted Cruz?

I mean - just look at him! Just listen to his voice for 5 seconds!

Yes - I know it isn't nice to 'judge a book by its cover' but the guy is a dork opportunist thug! You don't need me to tell you this - just look at him!

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

Renouncing Canadian citizenship changes NOTHING!

Cruz is not a natural-born citizen of America. Therefore, he is ineligible for the presidency as well as the vice presidency.

The only politicians

I fully trust these days are Rand, Mike Lee and Justin Amash, and the last two do not get any coverage from the MSM for being one of the "rogue" libertarian republicans. Now Cruz will also be remembered as standing up to the President in a filibuster. He seems to have been perfectly designed to confuse and divide the common republican who is opening up to libertarian principles.

I do not confuse so easily :-)

You are not a common republican :)

Most on this site are not. But out there conservatives/republicans are confused and angry with their government and representatives and don't know what to do next, and aren't willing to do the research or think for themselves. I can just see it now, in 2016 the MSM portraying Rand as a kook and making Cruz look respectable and presidential. Controlled opposition, has to be. I would love to be wrong though.

Yes, many do continue to be repeatedly fooled. But that is where we come in :-)

Young, old, healthy, disabled, we have been meeting at restaurants twice a month. There are Christians, neocons, and r3VOLution such as myself. Between coffee/tea, wings or shakes, we share information and discuss it fully. Those people in turn share with their friends, colleagues and family. Many in my area already know fully well who Justin Amash is and quickly recognize him when he is aired!

It takes a single magic-marker written sign posted on a busy road to state a time and day :-)

I'm skeptical of Ted Cruz as well

That's not to say that I don't like what I've seen out of him. It's just that my gut tells me something might not be right here. Like others on this thread, I think it's possible Cruz is controlled opposition.

Proceed with caution on Cruz

July 12, 2011
George P. endorses Cruz

George P. Bush, the nephew of former President George W. Bush, has picked a horse in the race for U.S. Senate.

'...Like Marco Rubio in Florida, I am confident that Ted will inspire a new generation of leaders to stand up and defend American Exceptionalism.'

No, on reflection after a while I am not 100% on Cruz

And this is before any knowledge of much of his background, strictly based on how he operates, the way he works the system and his smooth oratory and body language.

He's extremely intelligent and strategic. Everything is super silicone polished.

When he takes on the real issues of Constitutionality he is a sharp sword. The blade is a bit too polished however, not much grit ..

So ... I don't trust him already. Now I'm looking at the Bush connections and there's not much good that can come from that, for sure.

I will support any moves he makes that are in line with restoring the Republic. But I got my eye on this one.

Bump for Awareness and/or Consideration

Agreed

Seems like Ted Cruz is the establishments controlled opposition candidate. If Cruz represented real change the media would not be falling all over themselves to promote him as an obamacare martyr.

Bingo

The establishment is making uncharacteristically bold and, dare I say, *theatrical* attacks on Ted Cruz, while the establishment media reports on it in exactly the right way to portray Cruz as a heroic underdog.

That is NOT how the establishment would try to discredit a real enemy, that's how they would establish street-cred for their controlled opposition.

Cruz is their boy.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

The icing on the cake

is that Cruz can (and likely will) be used to draw in the "latino vote" that the GOP has been trying to get since the bigwigs realized most of their lower members are, as Jerry Doyle likes to say, "too white, too right, too uptight."

A signature used to be here!

It's an interesting point

Ron Paul was just plain ignored. Rand is getting more coverage and potentially is the GOP front-runner. So it's conceivable that Cruz is being built up as controlled opposition.
